I love Cora too i think she is a fantastic addition to the show and she never fails to make me smile either, im enjoying the tanya storyline and how her relationship with lauren is developing and i think the stuff coming up wwhen max finds out etc are gona be great, i always enjoy the drama of max and tanya together.

Im delighted amira is back as it will change the christian and syed dyamic plus i always liked amira, but im absolutly hating the rest of the masood stuff, zainab is doing my head in ( although i did enjoy her standing up to bushra and smacking her one) i cannot stand yusif, while i do usually enjoy a baddie i just hate him and mainly because i think he is a terrible actor and very unbelievable, i usually sky plus eastenders and watch it later on and i have found in the last few weeks that when the zainab and yusit stuff is on im so tempted to hit the forward button and im never like that with eastenders, more cora less yusif and zainab thank you for me!!

It was so good to finally see Zainab standing up to Bushra AND publicly defending Syed in one fell swoop. It's a pity it was as a result of Yusef's manipulation (he's turning into a character I really love to hate!)

I didn't like Amira very much before but I am excited about this return. Amira to bring Yusef down? I do hope so.

Lovely to have the ever-classy Amira back. Christian is a vile old witch though, he deserved that pepper spray attack. Judging by the spoilers he only becomes more hateful in the coming weeks. Poor Amira and her lovely wardrobe.

Mandy is such a breath of fresh air. Nice to see Kat smiling for once.

Jane

reignites her romance with Masood and then converts to Islam so she can be with him properly!

That is utterly LUDICROUS.

Much as I like Masood and Jane individually, I'm afraid I can't buy them as a couple since Masood stood by and watched Jane's brother being half beaten to death (whether Christian deserved it or not).

Apparently she changes her mind pretty swiftly. I've never seen the appeal of them but I've never disliked them together either.
great having amira back, i always liked her plus she is very easy on the eye aswell!!

Yes, Amira was one of my fave characters - and happy she's back! Plus I bought her song Shimmy too

I love how they're making Amira into a right bitch despite the fact that she has EVERY RIGHT to be a bit pissed off with Christian.
So more info on a returnee -

Laurie Brett has confirmed that she is NOT returning permanently - Jane is only going to be back for a few months. Which suggests that perhaps there is going to be more mileage in Ian/Mandy than initially thought.

I'm a bit mystified about that. I wonder if she'll

leave for good after this brief return or just take more leave to be with her baby? I think Jane and Ian have absolutely run their course but Jane has plenty to give as a character. Somebody with no agenda who is just a GOOD PERSON is always welcome because there really isn't enough of that in EE or soap generally.

But yes, Mandy has proved to be an INSPIRED return and she's really reinvigorated Ian.

It sounds very much like it was

Laurie Brett's own decision to leave rather than a case of Jane being axed - she's been talking about wanting time to properly devote to motherhood which is fair enough - and I think the fact that she's coming back at all suggests that EE would have been happy to keep her around. Her original departure was written as being quite "final" in itself, and it's not like Jane really has "unfinished business" in the Square that needs wrapping up as such, so they could easily have gotten away without bothering if they had really wanted.

---Norman---

will be leaving before the end of the month. The character was really wooden, so I'm quite glad about it. Plus it'll mean we'll have less of

---Jean---

moping around.

Jean's ongoing thing with Norman has been nothing short of embarrassing.
Considering it was Poppy's birthday, she and Jodie werent in tonight's ep nearly enough
Two more departees:

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Whatever will I laugh at now?
