Anyone think Max and Lucy that something will happen? There is rumours suggesting Max will stray again, and at first when i heard it i said it will be Mandy but now im starting to think it will be Lucy.

So Tyler and Whitney got together-does anyone remotely care? I couldn't believe the amount of other characters tonight who did.
I don't care at all. Whitney is a potentially great character who is frequently let down by being dragged into some appallingly dull teen plots. Tyler is a character I have absolutely no interest in. There's no character there beyond the producers believing Tony Discipline to be pretty. Even Anthony has been gifted with more personality.
It frustrates me that they're putting so much effort into trying to make Whitney & Tyler a tragic meant-to-be couple like Kat & Alfie or Stacey & Bradley, when in reality no give gives a shit about it and would much rather see Whitney with Fatboy and Tyler bonking some anonymous blonde.
Preeeach sista! I can't even bring myself to catch up on this week's episodes yet. It's ages since I've let this many episodes accumulate. Doesn't help that Emmerdale is whooping its arse right now.

I almost died when I read that

Janine

is departing.

Fortunately, it's only for six months! The actor is tipped to enter Strictly next year - full story here. It includes some current spoilers as well, so if you don't want to know, don't click.

Whitney does nothing for me, i never buy into her storylines at all and never have, i dont know what it is but i just cant emphthise with her at all, even though im not a tyler fan i would have more interest in his charactor and that aint syaing much. There is no dount the show is lacking something at the moment, the recent custotody storyline was totally unbelievable and Derek is another charactor that does nothing for me but the writers just seem to want him involved with every charactor and he is getting far too much screen time, as for the Mandy and Ian stuff i aont buying into all that either. For me Coa, Max and Tanya are the saviours of the show show at the moment and they are not getting half enough screen time.

Still though, the show has been in worse shape before and i have no doubt it will improve again, i just hope Brian Kirkwood moves on soon, while he has done the odd good thing on the whole i havnt been a fan of his work so hopefully he steps down sooner rather than later.

I have to agree jark, emmerdale was good, i watched the crash episodes and johns exit and it was done very well with strong performances, even my 10 year old daugher shed a tear.

I think the wooden spoon was a better actor than this "Ali" character last night. Utterly laughable scenes.

I liked that Christian and Zainab have FINALLY become allies or whatever, but I think it's a bit unrealistic.

Kirkwood's gone!

:cheer:

That hardly needs spoilering does it? :D He steps down next month. Good news for the show.

Good. The lack of activity in this thread shows how dull it's been recently, even I've been considering giving up on it at times and I've been watching for almost 20 years! But I persist because it's like an addiction, plus it will get better soon enough, it always does.

In retrospect not really but everything gets put in spoilers here so I figured best to be on the safe side (poor logic I know!). Anyway, I'm excited but also nervous. I hope the show doesn't get even worse now!

Heather's murder scene was SHIT. Anti-climactic and unless Heather's head really was made of jelly after all (quite possible), then there is no way that the rather feeble blow could convincingly have been enough to kill.

And as ever with Psycho Ben scenes, I feel a little sad that we will never be treated to the Charlie Jones interpretation which let's face it would have brought about the end of the world.

AGREED.

Heather's exit was predictably, and fittingly, lame. If I didn't already know she was leaving, I'd have no idea that blow was meant to kill.

I think the ending wouldn't have been too bad had the blow not been so... weak looking. I suppose even a smallish blow can result in death if you're unlucky but still I would have liked it to look more lethal. I'll miss Heather I think. She didn't do much no, but she's an old face at this stage and it's always sad to lose one of those.
I've always been on the anti-Heather parade, but I can't help but feel sorry for Cheryl Fergison having such an appauling exit after, like Umi says, a rather lengthy amount of time compared to most (she didn't even get the closing shot of her own "doof-doof"!). Even her being strangled by the phone cord that we were treated to a close-up of would've been more exciting - but I guess/hope Shirley's answer-machine will at least act as witness to get rid of Ben for good.

Edited by THEO.

Phil intercepts and deletes the message before Shirley hears it.
