Oh, another fire? :rolleyes: It wouldn't surprise me if this Christmas special was crap, would reflect the year Eastenders has had though.

 

Last year's was rubbish too, as all the drama didn't happen until Boxing Day I seem to remember! :P

Last years Christmas day episode was the most boring Christmas episode i've ever seen. The episode on Boxing day should have been shown 1 day earlier.

Last years EastEnders was not as good as what we usually get, that said i am not a big of of Masoods. This year we have the Brannings who i much prefer so i think it will be much better this year.

I'm not a fan of the Masoods either. I usually like the Brannings, but their storylines this year have been dire, so I'm not expect much from this Christmas special.

What's getting on my wick about Bianca at the moment is how stupid her 'we're so poor' storyline is. Why, considering she usually halves fish fingers to feed her 102 children every week, would she throw away all her Christmas decorations? Why does she need a new tree? She needs a new storyline.

Personally I think the writing for Bianca is way better this time round. She doesn't seem to be wallowing in self pity for a change.

She herself has been written better, but her dire situation is still way OTT.

Bianca needs a new love partner to bring out her wilder and selfish side where she just does what she wants. The repetitive been broke storyline since she rejoined the show is getting tired now. Patsy is a very capable actress and can handle far better storylines than she is receiving and likewise with Carol. I do like these characters but their storylines have let them down since their return. We have all seen how fantastic these two actresses are when given a strong meaty storyline. Kat has also suffered the same mis fortune since she returned. Hopefully Lorraine Newman will change all this. I noticed lately there is a lot of foreign writers on board, and im not saying this in a racist way, i simply wonder if it is the right move on the basis of what is their understanding of the show and do they fully understand the culture.
