A new Ian story spoiler;

He's been shot by a hitman, tried to commit suicide and duped into thinking a secret lovechild is his.

But Ian Beale sinks to an all time low in EastEnders, as he tries to pick up a prostitute with a wad of ten pound notes.

Unfortunately for Beale, played by actor Adam Woodyatt, his female friend turns out to be a policewoman.

The seedy plotline follows unlucky-in-love Beale as he take his car out kerb crawling in broad daylight to go cruising for a girl.

As he arrives to a pick-up spot dotted with potential clients, he slows his vehicle down and peers out the window until he finds the right match.

When he starts talking to a leggy brunette, he thinks he has scored - but as soon as they exchange cash he is busted by the law enforcer and she flashes her ID leaving Beale red-faced.

Beale's history of women has hardly been a successful one, having four failed marriages behind him.

His first to Cindy Williams, played by Michelle Collins, lasted the longest at a vaguely impressive eight years.

But his latest to Jane Collins, portrayed by Laurie Brett, lasted a dismal fours years with both of them being unfaithful.

This is also not Beale's first venture into hiring women in exchange for money.

After he witnessed Jane kissing another man, he flew into a rage and hired an escort to make her jealous, claiming the woman was a long-term friend from his school days.

Woodyatt, 43, is the longest-serving character of the BBC1 soap and the only remaining original role to have appeared continuously since the first episode aired back in February 1985.

Fabulously ridiculous!

Sounds shit. The material for Ian has been rubbish for too long now.
They're getting so desperate with Ian now, just because he's the longest serving character... They should let him go tbh.
DOT and her LOLLIPOP SIGN was comedy gold.

That was rather classic

And I think they are scraping the barrel with Ian's character now, practically lost all his family he seems to me like a spare wheel his character has just run out of steam there isn't any direction for him to go, apart from been bumped off, which could give the soap a great whodunnit boost.

Ya, it is hard to know what else they will do with Ian, although when Jane comes back im sure there will be the enivitable re union and probably take new vowes storyline and possibly the return of lucy and peter.
Is it just me or does anyone else wish they would axe Billy, i dont know what it is but his charactor fails to connect with me everytime he gets a storyline, and this one is no different.

Christian and Roxy trashing the sqaure was majorly OTT.

I like Billy. Lola's sticking around so they have an even better reason to keep him around longer. It's setting up the depature of Julie as well.

Rumours surrounding Mandy's return

Mandy Salter will return to EastEnders as a stripper, according to a report.

The former teenage tearaway, played by Nicola Stapleton, is to make a comeback after 17 years away from Albert Square.

Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) will be stunned to discover Mandy working in a lap dancing club, before vowing to help her turn her life around, says The Sun.

"Nicola doesn't look like she has aged since she left. She looks amazing," a set source told the paper. "She found it a bit strange to film her first scenes in underwear and bikinis but she joked that she might as well 'jump straight back in'."

Mandy has been described as a "manipulative force of nature" and is expected to cause trouble for at least one Walford resident.

Meanwhile, Woodyatt has been filming scenes which see Ian approach a prostitute in North London. However, the businessman ends up being dragged to a police station, when the undercover policewoman reveals her warrant card.

I thought that Lola would be

Mandy's daughter

Oh and Dot was comedy gold last night 'Mercy's going back to Peru!'

The show is all about Janine for me at the moment and Jean. They are the stars.

I actually quite like Billy and Julie, they seem quite realistic but the new Granddaughter is typical Eastenders, new teenager tear-away :drama:

Mercy's exit was as boring as it was going to me-Dot saved it with the lollipop sign. Janine is excellent. Was I the only one cheering when she didn't have a present for Tiffany?
Janine is amazing. It annoys me why Eastenders never nominate Samantha Janus for Soap Awards!
Soap awards are ridiculous anyway. In America, you actually win proper awards. Over here, you win stupid ones like Sexiest male or sexiest female.

In America the soaps are all absolutely HORRIFIC regardless of what awards they win!
