Also the saxophonist in 'The Edge Of Glory', let's not forget.

:o RIP, quite a shock to see this as I read just the other day he was in a 'stable condition'! :(

I've been reading "the saxophonist for Lady GaGa" everywhere this morning. Such an insult to his ridiculously successful career.

I know - I'm just pointing it out so anyone visiting this thread would be more likely to be aware of his work. I'm not insinuating that him being on a GaGa track was the high point of his career.

Oh non non. That wasn't directed at you entirely, just some ignorant morons who can't see past a collaboration with Lady GaGa.

Such a shame. My mum's a massive Springsteen fan so I grew up listening to the Big Man, truly one of the greats.

Such sad news but glad he got the chance to appear on TEOG video before his illness. It somehow made it better (the video I mean)

E Street Band are legendary although Nebraska is, and probably always will be, my favourite Springsteen album.

Sad, sad news although not completely unexpected.

Glad I managed to see Clarence as part of the E Street Band at Crystal Palace in 2003 although past his peak it was still a spellbinding evening
