In what sense?

Starting off modestly to then grow into a successful girl-group? Being quite edgy with their debut material? Flopping with recent singles?

Hopefully the last one - why did they have to ruin a perfectly good Carly Simon song  I don't know why

People 'speaking out against' individual artists is fine as long as it doesn't dominate every single one of their posts (e.g. smirnoff_ice with GaGa), vidcapper constantly bleats on against an entire style of singing used by thousands of artists.

How about 'style of performing', since rapping is, by definition, not singing?

I respect that vidcapper has an opinion but it just gets really annoying that about 1 in 3 of his posts seem to be about how much he hates rap.

That's a little unfair - it's no more than 1 in 5... :w00t:

Glasto effect (slowing down slightly):

71. Mumford & Sons - Little Lion Man

76. Mumford & Sons - The Cave

81. U2 - With or Without You

86. Biffy Clyro - Many of Horror

119. U2 - Beautiful Day

I really hope Coldplay's headline performance tonight can stop ETIAW going into freefall (45 now :( ) and who knows maybe get a few of their old tracks back in :kink:

I love Ke$ha, she has some great songs like TT, TIO, BBB, WRWWR. Her songs are very catchy. My favourite song by her by far would have to be 'Right Round', which does say something :coffee:

For me, YLIMD is one of my favs - shy/demure is an appealingly different look for her.

Surely there is no way Parade will make the top 40! They're down to #82 on iTunes ! What a massive flop!

Yes, their drop is coming shortly. Incerdible flop. It will be lucky to spend 2 weeks top 100 at this rate.

They remind me of the Sugababes in the early days too. Firstly, there are 3 of them, they are all very young (under 17), they are releasing good material and they can actually sing. I am addicted to the SoundGirl song called 'Walking On Air' which is actually very classy, something Sugababes always had was class.

Also if you listen to 'Overload' by the Sugababes, you can see how much Mutya's and Keisha's vocals have got better, even by the time the Angels With Dirty Faces era came along, as they were so young, their voices still had some improving to do, which could easily happen with SoundGirl, even though their vocals are very good already.

Although Parade are set to have a massive fall next week, I still reckon they'll debut within the top 40 come Sunday. Radio 1 wouldn't have booked them to appear on the Chart Show if they didn't think the single would make it.

It's update was #33 and it's now on #82 on iTunes

32. Dirty Dancer (with Usher) [feat. Lil Wayne] - Enrique Iglesias, Usher & Lil Wayne

43. The Mack (feat. Snoop Dogg & Iyaz) - Mann  (I can see this doing a 'Roll Up')

57. San Francisco - Cascada

69. Hitz - Chase & Status & Tinie Tempah

110. I Want You - Cee Lo Green  (Hope this can go top 75 officially at least, its too good to miss out on a top 75 placing at the very least)

135. Take Off (feat. Trey Songz) - Chipmunk

146. I Wanna Go - Britney Spears  (C'MON BRIT!)

179. Till I'm Gone (feat. Wiz Khalifa) - Tinie Tempah & Wiz Khalifa

Also OUCH at how much these have fallen:

82. Perfume - Parade

92. Monster - Paramore

114. Beat of My Drum - Nicola Roberts

The Mack doesn't have a music video yet, and has only just been added to Radio 1's playlist, so it's doing incredibly well as it stands, and I'm sure it'll go top 40. I really like the song tbh, and it's very different to the rest of the chart.

I heard I Want You for the 2nd time on the radio today (although I imagine in a few months I'll be complaining that I've heard it for the 2000th time). I really, really don't like it. The only of his songs from this era that I've liked is Bright Lights, Bigger City tbh. It's a really good song. I can imagine it ending up on a lot of movie soundtracks.

Cee-Lo is AWFUL :puke: F*** You is one of the worst songs of 2010 imo, and It's OK is even worse. Not heard IWY, nor do I want to - I'll try and avoid it for long as possible. His best song so far is BLBC, which I still despise and would give 2/10 to a push...

F*** You is a bad song and I agree

19. The Saturdays - Notorious

49. SoundGirl - Don't Know Why

82. Parade - Perfume.

I agree. Well, I'd give BLBC more like an 8/10, but Forget You is one of the worst songs I've ever heard. It honestly could've been made 30 years ago. It's generic. The song goes nowhere. It's not interesting. It's old-fashioned. It's boring. :puke: :puke:

I hate it so much. All I remember is a bunch of 11 year-olds at school running around going "OMGOMG I discovered a version of this song and it has swear words in. :w00t:".

Absolutely pathetic. :puke: Total joke and a poor excuse for a song. So watered-down, so cheesy, so yuck.

Rant over. This is all just my opinion obviously.

U2 top 300:

64. I Will Follow (Live at Glastonbury) - U2

85. With or Without You - U2

117. Beautiful Day - U2

143. I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For - U2

172. One - U2

247. Vertigo - U2

287. Where the Streets Have No Name - U2

292. Stay (Faraway, So Close!) - U2

Them releasing a Live at Glastonbury song is a very good idea. More bands should do this, it seems like an easy way to make even more money off festival appearances (albeit probably not that much)
