You make out performers suffer.

If anything, they benefit far more than the producers. I bet when Britney came out with '...Baby One More Time', everyone was saying things like "OMG Britney's song is amazing! She's just amazing!" when, actually, the producers are "amazing". The public always assume that a performer's song is actually their own song and the performers get judged on the material they are given. Loads of people say that Rihanna is phenomenal. I love her, but is she actually phenomenal or are Stargate?

Well, it's not an easy job really. I think they usually enjoy themselves. But what about Britney for example? I'd definitely say she's gone through very hard times in her career, compared to what Dr. Luke and Max Martin have gone through.

Stargate produced Black and Yellow, so yes, they are phenomenal.

I know what you mean. Infact, I do exactly the same. I go around saying "I love Rihanna", when infact what I mean is "I love 90% of the songs with Rihanna's name attached to them".

However, just like you and I might give the impression that we think Rihanna completely created all her songs, but we know really that she didn't, I think it's the same with the general public. I'm quite sure people are fully aware that Rihanna and Britney Spears don't compose their own instrumentals and write their own lyrics. Although I did hear somewhere that Britney composed the piano melody in Everytime! :o Although that could just be her crazy fans saying that, I don't know.

Are we sure this time? Last time, I got false information from here. Is it really #3?
Well, Fresh's lead over the #3 (I'm ignoring Loick here as he was also a new release) has managed to stay between 49% and 62% all week. Hopefully with the EP having also stayed top 5 all week plus sales of the remixes, its sales from other sites and its very small physical sales it's managed to do enough to sell more than Grenade did in week 1. But I highly doubt he has. :( He'd need a 2.4x multiplier from Tuesday mids to sell the 150k he needs to outdo Grenade.

I doubt Louder will sell over 150,000 this week too tbh.

Talking about Loick Essien, I'm kind of surprised he's still #2. Although I think The Wanted and Beyonce will push him down to #4 soon.

I wouldn't mind The Wanted getting #1 now. The song has grown on me. I think it's their best yet, even though I think it sounds quite like On the Floor and Don't Wanna Go Home.

I'd be very surprised if Loick is any higher than #5 next week. DJ Fresh, The Wanted, Beyoncé and Ed Sheeran will surely all be ahead of him. Probably Jason too and maybe also Example. And then there's also the possibilities of Guetta and SFG overtaking. I make that Loick potentially down to #9. He probably won't be that far down but as I say I'd be very surprised if those first four at least aren't ahead.

I assume you're talking about similarities in the instrumentals? As usual I don't get your comparison at all.

I see how Glad You Came sounds On The Floor/Stereo Love-esque, although I don't get the DWGH comparison

Yes, it's the instrumentals obviously. I think Don't Wanna Go Home sounds a lot like On the Floor too at parts imo. I might post a video comparison of the bits I'm thinking of (but I'm listening to Right There atm, so I might be a few minutes ).

EDIT: I think the beginning of Don't Wanna Go Home, up to 0:23:

sounds like On the Floor between 0:08 and 0:15:

So basically, I think both songs have parts that sound like Show Me Love.

Also, I've never been a big fan of RedOne, as I'm some people are aware, but the bit of On the Floor after 3:45 up until the end is AMAZING! Talk about totally epic! :o

The Wanted now number 2 on Itunes album chart, no other releases showing up yet, they'll probably show up soon

Shocked at how Love How It Hurts has started :o It's alright, pretty much Scouting For Girls by numbers though...
David Guetta at #393. I think this is sure to go top 10 then, as it's taken off quicker than Where Them Girls At already.

Go The Wanted! :yahoo:

Top 5 when I wake up please! ^_^

Hmm, perhaps SFG will go top 40  It might be another 'Foster The People' situation though, where it enters in the top 100 but never climbs higher than the low top 30...

I hope The Wanted can get to #1.
