Well, I CAN believe Till the World Ends missed the top 20, because as others said, radio just wouldn't play it. It was never going to be a hit really, due to that.

It would've been massive if it got played on radio though. It spent like 2 months in the top 10 in the US.

I also think Till the World Ends would've done a lot better if it had got into the top 10 on iTunes on release week. It got to #11, and got very close before it started falling. Most people didn't know Britney had a new song out at that time (since it was on air, on sale), so the top 10 effect would've really helped it I think.

Yasmin 'Finish Line' could have been a massive top ten hit with lots of radio support but it debuted at 13 and fell quickly. Nice summery vocals on that song and radio would have loved it (R1 was the only station who gave it support iirc)

Jeremih feat. 50 Cent 'Down On Me' would have been massive if radio ACTUALLY played it. Look at it's success in the US - they actually give lots of airplay to these types of songs there but we don't sadly.

Capital played Finish Line, but I only heard it at night time (they seem to play different music during the nights than during the day. They play more remixes, album tracks, older songs, future songs and current songs which are further down the chart during the night).

It should've been bigger though. It's a really good song, and is very radio-friendly too. It would've been nice if Capital played it more though. I could've even imagine Heart playing it. The only bit of the song that is really anti-Heart is the bit where the male vocals say "Finish Line" in the hook. On a bit of a tangent here, but I also realized it could be the same vocal that says "Frisky" in Frisky by Tinie Tempah's hook. Labrinth produced both songs, so maybe it's just something he likes doing.

I agree about Down On Me and Look At Me Now aswell. It's a shame those couldn't be big here. But it's difficult with Chris Brown, because I'm really glad Beautiful People got released here. I think Yeah 3x is a bit "meh" though. I think it would've been better if it went 1st, Look At Me Now, 2nd, Beautiful People, 3rd She Ain't You (which he's released as the 2nd single in the US). Although he probably wouldn't have been as successful in the charts if he released like that.

I think that "Hush Hush" deserved to be a huge hit!! It is an amazing song and Alexis Jordan's vocals are very strong!! Also, i believe that "Who Says" from Selena Gomez is one of the best pop songs lately and the videoclip is very suitable for the song!! Selena Gomez is so underrated in United Kingdom.. I think that "What the hell" was a very good choice for Avril's comeback and i was sure that it would be a Top 5 single easily..Finally, I think that the most unfair song in 2011 is "Can't make this over" from Pixie Lott!! Her best single to yet and i think that it was one of the best ballads ever!! She needs to release it again with a better videoclip and better promotion of course..

^ DEFINITELY agree about Hush Hush! That song is brilliant! I can't believe how unsuccessful it's been in comparion to her other two singles. :(

About Pixie Lott, I think Coming Home could've been a big hit, if they had been allowed to release it.

I agree with this post. Hush Hush deserved so much better.

Natalia Kills - Mirrors.

I know she done no promotion over here, but I really thought it'd do a Just Dance type of success. I was wrong. Has her album been released over here yet??

Two Door Cinima Club - What You Know and Something Good Can Happen - both been heavily supported by Radio 1, so both should of gone at least Top 40, but have spent ages in the Top 100 instead.

Alex Gaudino Feat. Kelly Rowland - What A Feeling - Great summery pop/dance anthem with loads of radio support. It's beyond me as to why this only spend 3 weeks in the Top 40.
