Ok, varying in terms of quality for the goddamn awful to the absolutely brilliant, but on the whole I like this set.

ETA: Actually, I've just remembered that my Dad's a massive Meatloaf fan, and that was a week where he did the double... so I'd hope that that was a good week for him.

I did this before, but anyway:

19th November

1996 The Prodigy - Breathe

1997 Aqua - Barbie Girl

1998 Cher - Believe

1999 Robbie Williams - She's The One

2000 LeAnn Rimes - Can't Fight The Moonlight

2001 Blue - If You Come Back

2002 Christina Aguilera feat. Redman - Dirrty

2003 Busted - Crashed The Wedding

2004 U2 - Vertigo

2005 Madonna - Hung Up

2006 Akon feat. Eminem - Smack That

2007 Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love

2008 The X Factor Finalists 2009 - Hero

2009 The Black Eyed Peas - Meet Me Halfway

2010 Rihanna - Only Girl (In The World)

I think a site I did this on a while ago actually got at least one wrong - it definitely said 2010 was JLS rather than Rihanna anyway.

This year will only be the second in my life (after 2005) where my birthday is on a Sunday! 2000 would have been one too (also shifting the other two to 2004 and 2010) if it weren't for it being a leap year.

May 5th so practically identical to Jack's - I've bolded the ones that I like a la Dandy*

Starship - "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now"

S'Express - "Theme From S'Express"

The Bangles - "Eternal Flame"

George Michael - "Fastlove"

Beyonce & Shakira - "Beautiful Liar"

Madonna featuring Justin Timberlake - "4 Minutes"

Calvin Harris - "I'm Not Alone"

Roll Deep - "Good Times"

LMFAO - "Party Rock Anthem"

Not bad by all accounts, yes I even liked Westlife's debut single - it was all in the strings :drama: Tony Christie was fun but the joke was well and truly over by May. Oxide and Neutrino and Eamon were awful and the George Michael EP was only ok. I was so pleased in 2003 when Tomcraft overtook the DREADFUL Rise & Fall by Craig David & Sting in the dying seconds to be a great birthday #1 instead of a dire one

My birthday is December 5th

Wham! "I'm Your Man"

T'Pau "China in Your Hand"

Will Young "Leave Right Now"

Band Aid 20 "Do They Know It's Christmas?"

Take That "Patience"

Leona Lewis "Bleeding Love"

Take That "Greatest Day"

Peter Kay's Animated All Star Band "The Official BBC Children in Need Medley"

The X Factor Finalists 2010 "Heroes"

There's some songs I like here (in bold), but there's a lot of (bad) charity/novelty records at the end of the 4th quarter.

Interesting that Daniel Bedingfield was #1 in 2001 & 2002, exactly one year apart.

15th August

Will Smith 'Men In Black'

Boyzone 'No Matter What'

Westlife 'If I Let You Go'

Melaine C 'I Turn To You'

So Solid Crew '21 Seconds'

Darius 'Colourblind'

Blu Cantrell feat. Sean Paul 'Breathe'

Robyn with Kleerup 'With Every Heartbeat'

Katy Perry 'I Kissed A Girl'

Tinchy Stryder feat. Amelle 'Never Leave You'

Flo Rida feat. David Guetta 'Club Can;t Handle Me'

I can't say it was very good, until later years. The Sats v Flo Rida battle was 10x more interesting for me because I didn't want Sats at number one on my birthday :puke:

Ones I like in blue (because bold looks ugly as hell):

1991 Color Me Badd - "I Wanna Sex You Up"

1992 Erasure - "Abba-Esque (EP)"

1993 Gabrielle - "Dreams"

1994 Wet Wet Wet - "Love Is All Around"

1998 Baddiel & Skinner & The Lightning Seeds - "Three Lions '98"

1999 The Vengaboys - "Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom!!!"

2000 Black Legend - "You See The Trouble With Me"

2001 Shaggy feat. Rayvon - "Angel"

2002 Elvis vs. JXL - "A Little Less Conversation"

2003 Evanescence - "Bring Me To Life"

2004 Britney Spears - "Everytime"

2005 Crazy Frog - "Axel F"

2006 Nelly Furtado - "Maneater"

2007 Rihanna feat. Jay-Z - "Umbrella"

2008 Coldplay - "Viva La Vida"

2009 David Guetta feat. Kelly Rowland - "When Love Takes Over"

2010 Shout For England feat. Dizzee Rascal & James Corden - "Shout"

2011 Example - "Changed The Way You Kiss Me"

Looking at this list makes me :o at how fast time has gone - I vividly remember listening to the chart where Black Legend was announced as the new #1 as we were out in the park for the afternoon and I bought my radio walkman with me like I typically did on those occasions. 11 years ago now... :/ Probably one of the most forgotten #1s of the 21st century too, that.

I figured I would like more in the 90s than the 00s but my birthday #1s in the 90s seem to be some of the worst in their respective years - talk about unfortunate! I hadn't realised how fabulous the last 10 years had been for me though, two dodgy ones aside. I HATE the song that was #1 when I was born so much - although if I had been born only one day later I would have had Jason Donovan instead which isn't much better.

Born September 29th 1992

1992 - The Shamen - "Ebeneezer Goode"

1993 - Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince - "Boom! Shake The Room"

1994 - Whigfield - "Saturday Night"

1995 - Simply Red - "Fairground"

1996 - Deep Blue Something - "Breakfast At Tiffanys"

1997 - Elton John - "Candle In The Wind '97 / Something About The Way You Look Tonight"

1998 - B*witched - "Rollercoaster"

1999 - Eiffel 65 - "Blue (Da Ba Dee)"

2000 - Mariah Carey & Westlife - "Against All Odds"

2001 - Kylie Minogue - "Can't Get You Out Of My Head"

2002 - Will Young & Gareth Gates - "The Long And Winding Road / Suspicious Minds"

2003 - Black Eyes Peas - "Where Is The Love?"

2004 - Eric Prydz - "Call On Me"

2005 - Pussycat Dolls featuring Busta Rhymes - "Don't Cha"

2006 - Scissor Sisters - "I Don't Feel Like Dancin'"

2007 - Sean Kingston - "Beautiful Girl"

2008 - Kings Of Leon - "Sex On Fire"

2009 - Taio Cruz - "Break Your Heart"

2010 - Bruno Mars - "Just The Way You Are (Amazing)"

:D

77- WHEN A CHILD IS BORN- Johnny Mathis

78- MULL OF KINTYRE- Wings

79- YMCA- Village People

Quite a load of rubbish really!

2008 The X Factor Finalists 2009 - Hero

2009 The Black Eyed Peas - Meet Me Halfway

2010 Rihanna - Only Girl (In The World)

Bandwagonning I guess :P

As I've made perfectly clear on many occasions, Breathe is my favourite song of all time so absolutely the best possible day-of-birth #1 for me. Since then my birthday #1s have been mostly a load of shoite. Things looked up a bit in 2003-5 - I have some good memories about CTW, Vertigo is easily U2's best song and Hung Up is Madonna's second best after the stunning 'Frozen'. But then it went terrible again, with 'Smack That' being my second worst birthday #1 after the puke-inducing 'Believe'. And 'Hero' and 'Only Girl (In The World)' are very unsatisfactory birthday #1s, the former because it's crap and the latter because it's probably Rihanna's worst non-ballad. BL and MMH are passable.

bandwagoning, songs I like

2010: X Factor Finalists 2010 - Heroes

yeah, I know I shouldn't like some of them but I do :P the Cliff Richard song is listenable, if incredibly tacky, Band Aid and Heroes are a bit dull, Stickwitu and Peter Kay are decent as well, in fact the only one I truly dislike is Bleeding Love
