Nicola has scored her first solo #1 single! :D

On the physical singles chart

I'm surprised the exclusive bundles managed to get it to #1 there, although I guess that's where the majority of its overall sales are from there too.

Oh how I wish it was only physical singles again.

This is such a shame as everything about this campaign has been perfect... why is she flopping when cheryl releases shit and does so well? I hope there is at least a 3rd single! plus i hope the album does well and she's just not a single artist...

Forgive me if i'm wrong but wasnt/isnt Cheryl considered the "nations sweetheart"? she always had the most publicity, solo and with Girls Aloud (or Cheryl & Co. as they were called by some) and i'm sure appearing as a judge on X Factor as well as getting performance slots on it definitely helped shift a few extra sales her way. It's a shame though as from what i've heard I love Nicolas stuff so much, it deserves to be top 10 :(

Yep, she was. And that is probably why she did so well, as you said all the publicity. I'm sure she'd still have done better than Nadine and Nicola without her as her material was the most chart ready, she just wouldn't have been so successful. I wouldn't say she's the nation's sweetheart any more because it was with her X-Factor slot that the label came. Now we don't really have a nation's sweetheart. It's definitely not Cheryl anyway, with the US XF drama.

Offically number 40, i know it deserves higher but i was so happy when i saw the charts and seen she stayed top 40, she can now say she has 2 top 40 hits to her name, i know the album isnt going to be huge but it would be lovely if it could even sneak into the top 20.
I was so pleased, and a bit proud, that she managed to hold in there! Hopefully it won't bomb straight out of the top 100, but unlike 'Beat of My Drum', nobody really knows of this, so I wouldn't be surprised if it did :(
I'm so disappointed - I REALLY wanted to see this Top 20. #40 is abysmal (though I guess it's better than most expected - but disappointing nonetheless.) I hope her album does well but I can't see total sales of 100k at this stage.

Well I honestly thought it would have fallen out of the Top 40 so I'm glad it just managed to stick in there. And like Aphrodite said she now has 2 top 40 singles to her name.

Really hope the album goes Top 40 though, was a shame when Nadine's failed to do so.

Nadine's was only available in Tesco to be fair. This will be available everywhere, I think it could surprise people and go top 20 if not top 10.

She's at HMV Oxford Street tonight from 6pm btw :w00t:

The album doesn't seem to be available to buy properly on iTunes which is concerning, it's up as a 'partial album' although all of the songs are available for individual download :drama:
Just like what happened to Cheryl's album then which resulted in every track debuting in the official top 200 - somehow I can't see the same repeating here.
Do music video sales count for anything? The video is #4 on Itunes.
