where do you find this kinda info?? I am rather curious

REALLY hope the song and video isn't shelved though. What a waste that would be!!

It was mentioned somewhere on the last page (or it might have been the page before) so I don't know

I don't think Collide has a chance of challenging for number one, her fanbase should be enough for top 10 but her airplay is beyond awful at the moment. On the other hand the song might not get released.
The airplay is awful probably due to restrictions with the whole legality thing.

Personally I do think if they do win the case, they should release Collide near the end of septemeber, because it will only end up being like I Got You, where the video was released about a week before the single, and will do barely anything for the song. The new Sugababes video is out now, and that's not out until the 19th of september I think?

It would be silly to go ahead with the original release date. Barely any airplay, and video airplay, it won't get very far. If they don't win, I think they should just get David Guetta on the case  and come up with an amazing club song that will not have any claims against copy right and go straight to Number One.

If only...

& all you keyboard warriors out there, bore off. Some of us do want to come on here to find out about the single, and any news on whats happening, without having to scroll through argument after argument. :)

Leona is the Hot Shot Debut at #32 with 'Collide' on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart.

There is no way "collide" will get to no1. Its not a bad song but top 10 at best I think.
It's absolutely not a #1 record, if she couldn't get Happy to #1 with an X Factor perf I highly doubt this will. I'm expecting a chart run/sales pattern similar to 'Forgive Me'.
I agree, I can see it charting lower than All About Tonight and All Fired Up, it'll be at about 6/7 I think.

With the way this release is being handled, I wouldn't expect it to be #1 at all now. I did when everything seemed to be going smoothly.

If any other record label managed Leona and 'Collide', this would have been a dead cert for #1. -_-

By the way, Leona is getting annoyed on Twitter:

Camrons looking nicely tanned
Saw the most horrendous image of a boy bleeding and some guys stealing stuff out of his back pack. So disturbing and evil, karma will get u

So sad, thoughts are with those affected by the London riots
Can c a stand off outside the empire on the news. This is so mindless & needs 2 stop u r ruining our area wrecking people's homes & business

Im all for peaceful protests but dragging innocent people into violence is just wrong.
So upset by the riots last night. So close to my home and people's homes and small businesses trashed for the wrong reason. It's so wrong!

Feel really sorry for her. Her home town is being ruined.

Yes, Karma, get them!
Did I read somewhere that the Collide court case is now next Tuesday? I think they'll have to delay the single anyway even if they do win the case :(

Of all the people you feel sorry for, you feel sorry for Leona? Her buisness or home hasn't been destroyed

C-Listed on Radio 1. :)
Oh well that's a good sign I guess, then if she does get to release it she's had some airplay behind her.

Well obviously I feel sorry for the people who have been directly affected by the riots.

It's the Leona Lewis forum, why would I start talking about anyone else?

Its just because of the way you said it, as if it effects her the most because shes Leona. I just didn't see the point in talking about how its going to effect Leona, and how upset she must be, when people have lost their homes and buisnesses, so how its going to effect her is nothing in comparison.

I know that you don't mean that though, so just forget about it.

I think their using this court case scenario as publicity. If it turns around and says their not in the legal right for ownership, the promo costs will be a waste to the label?

I also think that the song will be eventually released by Leona.

But for what it's worth, it's Leona herself firstly to blame. It's her bloody career. SyCo will have so much more X-Factor cash-in cows (most would be for 1 album and then be dropped), while Leona is in big danger of fading into obscurity. Hopefully this situation will teach her not to be such a puppet in SyCo's hands. I geniunely think that if you want a successful long-lasting career you shouldn't relate yourself with Syco, and get out of them as fast as possible. Look at Alexandra Burke! If I were Leona I would definitely be curious where the hell that instrumental came from, and try to arrange everything with Avicii before releasing the song.

Leona isn't a producer. Why would she contact Avicii? She will have assumed that Sandy Vee had got it all sorted beforehand.

Yes look at Alexandra Burke, currently flogging watches on the Argos channel.

'Fading into darkness' would've created such a great PUN

Leona needs to be more pro-active and not let herself be a puppet controlled by Cowell which she basically is at the moment.
