I thought The A Team was pretty plain when I first listened to it, I shall go and listen to it more to see if it grows on me :D

Oh dear, not just Enrique but Jason Derulo and Chris Brown are benefitting from this too :drama: What a sad day for music. I just wish they'd lower the price of Ed Sheeran next week so he can really embarress JLS and steal their number one  I'm not a fan of TAT - but anything's better than JLS' new single :puke: I would be happy with a 3rd week atop for The Wanted - as they're clearly gonna have longevity while JLS drops like a stone

Ed really is this years Eliza Doolittle in that he didn't get nominated in Sound Of Poll but did better than most that did. He's guarranteed a number one album and TAT will sell 600k+

Well, I like Beautiful People. It's generic, but I think it's brilliant at the same time, and I always find it funny that an urban artist has a better pop song than all the pop artists.

I would also prefer Ed Sheeran to get #1 over JLS. I like JLS, but they don't deserve #1 with a song like that.

I hope Beautiful People keeps rising! Such a great song, didn't really like it at first then it grew on me so much. ^_^

I love it too. Such an anthem. However, I was different in the sense that I loved it from first listen though. I used to listen to it on repeat for ages when it first got uploaded to Youtube. I'm so glad it became a hit.

JLS would 100% get #1 unless something very unexpected happens... shame because the song is rubbish. It'll go on my rubbish #1 songs of the year list I guess :P

Pre Orders

Singles

#44 - Cher Lloyd - Swagger Jagger (31st july)

#69 - Maverick Sabre - Let Me Go (24th July)

#101 - Calvin Harris - Feel So Good (21st august)

#161 - Wretch 32 - Dont Go (14th august)

#196 - Nero - Promises (7th August)

Still no sign of JLS

Top 100 update coming. Annoyingly iTunes has refused to update properly and Ed is still #3. So sorry about that. :P

You should be, because it's #2! :P

How will the album give him a #1 single? :kink:

I didn't feel the need to put 'be #1' at the end of the sentence, that much seemed obvious -_-

For me personally, it's by far the biggest grower of the year. It had this run in my personal chart so far: 67-40-29-28-23-19-8-1-1-1-1-1

Obviously a lot of people still find it 'bland' and it's taken a LOT of criticism in the indie forum but each to their own.

I was surprised to see Beautiful People suddenly climb so high, then I noticed it was reduced, lol

I don't mind BP climbing because it's a good song, however the same can't be said for Enrique with Dirty Dancer, I hope that doesn't climb into the top 10 just because it's 59p because it's awful.

:o Cher Lloyd is quite high, I thought with Swagger Jagger she would only just about go top 10 but top 5 is looking likely now.
I hope TAT can become one of the highest selling songs of the year to not hit #1 - I don't think it'll overtake Rolling In The Deep or S&M but overtaking Born This Way certainly seems achievable at the rate it's going.

Me too tbh. My list so far would be:

Grenade

The Lazy Song

She Makes Me Wanna

The rest have been okay imo.

Hence the :kink:. I know what you meant :P

Surprised JLS aren't showing up on pre-orders. I see the b-side is a cover of Nobody Knows by The Tony Rich Project - I guess that song was long overdue a resurrection

She was #29 about two weeks ago, She's holding up well in pre order's, #1 looks more likely for her now not just top 5 :)

The only JLS song I can remember appearing on pre-orders on Itunes was Beat Again - which was top 5 IIRC before release. The Club is Alive didn't as I remember commenting at the time that they may not get to number 1...

Maybe their fans aren't into pre-ordering from Itunes? Bit odd really.... maybe they're Amazon/ HMV/ Play pre-order type fans :D

I'll go with top 3 to be on the safe side, has she got any competition that week of release at all..?

you would be right in that - they're number 1 on Amazon's list and number 2 on HMV's pre-orders (behind the Now album), it seems odd that they're getting hardly any on Itunes

No competition at all for her, only thing she need's to do is knock JLS off #1 (If they get #1 which they probably will)
