December 9, 201113 yr That clip is LIFE ITSELF. There are so many moments: 1) Nicole's BLUBBERING like a baby. 2) The girls delayed HYSTERIA 3) The girl falling to the floor in TEARS 4) The girl yelling MOMMY, YOU PROMISED 5) Nicole's shock realisation it's all gone TITS UP 6) Steve Jones being a ALMIGHTY c**t *and breath*
December 9, 201113 yr OH MY GOD this is all too much: Okay. So we've established that a pop star judge is generally brought onto a show for their 1) familiarity, 2) authority as a successful performer, and 3) likeability. By all three of those counts, then, Nicole Scherzinger, at least in the United States, is not a pop star. Nicole Scherzinger is not a household name. Nicole Scherzinger is best known for singing in a pop ensemble that hasn't had a song chart since 2008. Nobody cares what Nicole Scherzinger wore to the VMAs. But why? Nicole Scherzinger has been a glorified footnote of popular music for more than a decade, why has she never been permitted to graduate to the level of a Britney or Katy or Beyonce? The answer lies in point number three: There is nothing likeable about Nicole Scherzinger. And this is not an opinion, it is an objective truth. Lest you think this is devolving into some kind of $l*t-shaming rant, please let it be known that, in the immortal words of Michael Showalter, I love sluts. Sluts are great. It's just gotta be the right $l*t–and ideally one who takes on that image as a form of liberation, rather than in a desperate bid to please some imagined lowest common denominator. I guarantee you that if Nicole Scherzinger was a less-than-successful pop star with a “slutty” image who also happened to have really smart and cogent things to say in her role as a judge on The X Factor, then we would not be having this conversation. Hell, if she showed up to a single taping not looking zonked out of her mind, she might get by just being ignorably dumb, but certainly not hateable. When I joke and say that Nicole is an empty, person-shaped void, this is all that I mean to say. But it's that emptiness that has tripped her up in her quixotic mission to take over the pop charts, and it's that emptiness that makes her a lousy judge on The X Factor. Simon & co. have already made loads of tweaks to The X Factor since debuting it on our fair shores; it turns out, for example, that American audiences are less forgiving of lipsync-ed performances than UK audiences are, and that American audiences don't respond as strongly to groups. Maybe Simon should take his admirable willingness to do whatever it takes to get to 20 million viewers and apply it to his judging panel. After all, who knows how many people aren't watching The X Factor because they understandably don't want to be reminded that Nicole Scherzinger exists?
December 9, 201113 yr X Factor USA fans have vowed to boycott Nicole Scherzinger's new album following a controversial result on the show last night. 13-year-old Rachel Crow was eliminated from the contest by Deadlock after Scherzinger refused to choose between her and Marcus Canty, who was in the sing-off for the third time. Crow broke down in hysterical tears following the announcement, and Scherzinger was also distraught as tears streamed down her face. When host Steve Jones asked her for a few words, the Pussycat Doll was too emotional to speak, and was met by deafening boos from the studio audience. Zap2It reports that, once the show went off air, the audience continued to chant "Nicole sucks!" and "Fire Nicole!". Fans took their rage on to Twitter, where many threatened to boycott her album Killer Love, which is still awaiting release in the US. Other messages included "Can we vote @NicoleScherzy off#xfactor? Perhaps producers should've been more clear abt job requirements. Judges judge. Not cop out. #FAIL" #FireNicole also became a trending topic, according to Examiner.com, whilst some fans jumped to the star's defence, pointing out that Crow's followers should have voted for her. The star, along with Paula Abdul, came under fire last week following the decision to send home Drew Ryniewicz, again keeping Canty in the running. She was also met by a negative reception from critics at the start of the series, with many claiming the decision to replace Cheryl Cole with the 'Poison' singer was "pointless". This is patently a good thing though. When Killer Love enters the US album charts at #199 with 800 copies sold there's a valid EXCUSE. YAY Queen Nic, thinking outside the box *.*
December 9, 201113 yr That clip is LIFE ITSELF. There are so many moments: Steve Jones being a ALMIGHTY c**t Steve Jones isn't as big a one as Dermot (childish) O'Dreary :puke2:
December 9, 201113 yr It was painful to watch the poor girl so upset but I seriously can't stop watching it, the way Nicole is just like 'oh for f***'s sake, why give me the hardest decision of the series?' and the (obviously) fake tears and OTT drama and simply having to choose. If she can't simply have the balls to go 'right, you're going home' to the person she obviously wanted to, then she's not cut out for such a big judging role. 'Yeah... I... I.. can't.... I can't... I don't wanna say it...' It is CoL (clip of life) tbh! Highlights being Nicole's fake tears, Josh's murderous look when hearing them booing his mentor, Steve's geniune bewilderment at what to do in the midst of such high drama! Also lol at how she was fine like 5 minutes after!
December 9, 201113 yr I'm watching at UK pace, but saw a spoiler on DS that Rachel had gone! From what I've read, this results show is car-crash TV - can't wait!! :D
December 9, 201113 yr I'm watching at UK pace, but saw a spoiler on DS that Rachel had gone! From what I've read, this results show is car-crash TV - can't wait!! :D Oh it so is, easily more of a car crash than anything on the UK version. I mean there's 4/5 minutes of just pure pandemonium, it is amazing! Painful to see her so upset but Nicole's actions and the tantrum post-result is GOLD.
December 9, 201113 yr The US show is just a DISASTER from top to bottom. There is no chance whatsoever that Nicole or Steve Jones will be there next year. I wonder if the Americans think it's as terrible as the British fans watching it do... I mean the judges hardly even critique the performances, they just spout crap about how 'inspirational' all of the contestants ever, and you know that if Melanie pulled that shit she does every week of giving a speech before the judges have even commented, the British public would have got RID. The whole show is just so joyless and mechanical, it's weird.

The whole show is just so joyless and mechanical, it's weird. Have to agree. Also L.A Reid is as pointless as he can be on the show. Simon should keep only Paula for next year tbh. I quite like her. And yeah Nicole career in the US is officially over. Not that she had one to lose it, but still... If you are a judge you HAVE to make a decisions. I clapped when she got booed :kink:
December 9, 201113 yr Well I for one think Marcus is amazing. And it was so over the top, Nicole has nothing to be blamed for, the public voted for Marcus over Rachel. Rachel will clearly get snapped up anyway. I agree people will get over this like they did with cheryl-gamu gate drama a few years ago. Rachel will be good for walt disney
December 10, 201113 yr Why keep Paula? She is the worst judge I've ever seen, I've heard rumours of a Nicole/Kelly switch next year and I pray to god that doesn't happen. I like L.A. and I'd like him a lot more if he could actually get rid of his own acts. Steve Jones is safe I've heard which I'm happy about, I love him and Dermot but maybe bring in a second presenter for next year though.
December 10, 201113 yr I don't understand WHY they would want to keep Steve Jones on. The reception to him has been nothing short of terrible and it's well deserved... he comes across completely cold and brutal. It's not like he's even big in the UK, why export him? It's just another ego trip for Simon Cowell to be able to say he made somebody's career happen.
December 10, 201113 yr Nicole has to be the worst judge of all time, talk about a weak air head with nothing to say! And how many times has she saved her favourite Marcus now? Bin Paula and LA Reid as well. And Steve Jones. In fact sack it all off and get Simon back on the English X Factor, even with the ratings drop more people are watching our version anyway!
December 12, 201113 yr Can't believe no one posted these GIFs on here:  http://lh3.ggpht.com/-hgo3KAb-nRQ/TuMW01A0F_I/AAAAAAAAAEQ/jG4T1hRh_7w/s427/NICOLEARRASANDOCOMRACHELCROW.gif http://lh5.ggpht.com/-_eyOFee9Ok8/TuJU6MXeiVI/AAAAAAAABCA/Kxhb4DjTaMc/s500/flop2.gif Edited December 12, 201113 yr by Jason
December 14, 201113 yr Author This is patently a good thing though. When Killer Love enters the US album charts at #199 with 800 copies sold there's a valid EXCUSE. YAY Queen Nic, thinking outside the box *.*LMAO. Just caught up with all this. I don't watch US X Factor, but seeing Jason's sig had me delving into google to find out how it all happened and stuff. LOL at the over reaction! Poor Nicole! :( If the Americans liked Rachel THAT much, why did they not vote for her and put her in danger in the first place? I genuinely feel sorry for Nicole. There's no way she's going to make it now and it's a shame, really. If Nicole, genuinely couldn't make a decision for herself, why shouldn't she go to deadlock and let the public decide? It's all just a bit of an over reaction. Why is the age limit that low in the US anyway?
December 14, 201113 yr I do feel bad for Nicole moreso than Rachel, at the end of the day it's not Nicole's fault that Rachel Crow can't deal with being sent home. If Rachel couldn't deal with it then she shouldn't have been there at all. Sure you might say she's young....but again that isn't Nicole's fault is it? If Nicole is to be ridiculed for anything it's for being a big wuss and making a blubbering fool of herself on live tv. She should have made the call straight out and stood by it. December 15, 201113 yr lol at Steve Jones calling L.A. Reid 'L.A. Rude' yesterday in the semi-finals  Steve Jones is probably the worst host ever of the Reality TV shows history -_-
