Diamond was my favourite from her category. But I think the fact this is Arin's second time may have helped his case, and if he'd have gone there would have been two female-only categories (and it's not like the overs should be lasting long). I don't see why Carly is the current favourite, I did think she looked uncomfortable during her performance and it wasn't working for me overall. I think Jason is good but I don't see how he'd fit into the market, he seems more suited to Broadway.

As for last nights show,

YAY at the twist (though can they dress Diamond is something not so awful next week). After finding her a bit meh last week, Carly blew it out of the water this week, easily the best of the night imo. Fifth Harmony were a lot more in their element too. I disagreed with the negative feedback that both Jennel (I think the look really suits her) and Cece got and didn't get the love for Lyric 145 at all. It NEEDS to be a Tate/Jason bottom 2.

 

 

Can Simon make it not so obvious that he's turning Emblem3 into One Direction though, Demi was right. I think Britney is improving but she stole one of Demi's comments and her suggestion of Jason doing something urban made me laugh. :lol:

Carly blows everyone else out of the water.

 

I also enjoy Diamond, 5th Harmony and Diamond, a lot.

They removed most of the tension last night, absolutely no Louis Walsh style build-up to who they were sending home.

 

I did like the way they revealed the top 12 in order though!

That is until my least favourite happened to top the public vote! But very interesting to see two Overs in the top 3, Demi not having anyone in the top 6 and Fifth Harmony (5th :D) beating Emblem3

She won't do another series for two reasons

 

A) she's too expensive

B) she's not helping the show at all

 

Fox brought her in because they thought she would bring 12-15million viewers an episode and probably bring crazy to the table. She's a boring judge (well boring in regards that she's like a normal singing teacher, and doesn't do the drama stuff~). She can't say "I'm not doing another series", but I highly doubt she'll be asked back, but it will be spun in her favour.

I guess they thought she would be on there shouting "MERRY CHRISTMAS" at random times or coming across drugged like Paula Abdul, back in the American Idol days.

 

OMG. Watching this on ITV2 now, and I absolutely loved Lyric 145 for some reason. Batshit crazy performance, but worked SO well, loved it.
