Well, you could probably look at what album tracks do, since they get no airplay either (well, they get a few spins, but I'm sure Lights is getting played a few times somewhere aswell), and then compare.

What I'm curious about is whether it'll chart as the album/single version credited to Ellie, as the Bassnectar remix credited to Bassnectar feat. Ellie, or as the remix credited to only Ellie as it appears on iTunes.

Well, it'll chart as which version sells the most, which looks like it'll be the Bassnectar remix. I don't know how that'll be credited though. Maybe the same way it is on iTunes?

Iirc it was credited as the original version, which makes me wonder about this one. I hope Bassnectar gets credit.

I hope it can go on ellie's discography though so she can atleast say she's had one american hit... 'Rumour Has it' by adele is on the billboard 100 and thats an album track and its been sat at 80 for ages, so im excited about the prospect of ellie making the billboard!

I agree, I love Ellie's music and she deserves a BBH track. So does Bassnectar, however. :P

But I think Ellie can make it. About the crediting, I imagine it would just be credited to Ellie then. Although I'd be more than happy if Bassnectar got credited too.

Not true at all. It climbed into the top 10 BEFORE they performed on America's Got Talent. Have a look at the US radio airplay it is exploding at the moment, amongst the songs with the most spins. The performance did help push it into the top 5, correct. However, it was at #7 before the performance which truely shows the song is doing well.

 

It already went to #1 on US iTunes last month and it's back to #2 now with US airplay increasing everyday and all this without the music video released yet. This has so much more potential to grow. Music video is planned either this week or next week according to VEVO.

I hope katy drops now as her songs don't deserve to be #1
