Someone Like You out of the top 10 :( Fecking Glee. Should climb back in in a few days I'd imagine though.

Is 'We Are Young' not that song that was on an ad not that long ago? By The Beach Boys or something like that. (I could just look it up but CBA).

EDIT: Looked it up anyway - it is the 'Fun.' song. Huh. What a bizarre song to cover

EDIT2: And I have NO idea where I got The Beach Boys from. I was thinking of 'Alright' by Supergrass. Close enough

Didn't Travie McCoy sample that song (for his single after Billionaire, which flopped, majorly)?

I'm not sure how hard Katy and her managers trying for the #1. I mean, I'm sure they'd like to be #1, but there's so many other things they could be doing to boost its sales. I'm not sure how much they want it, since they don't seem to be trying that hard, if you get what I mean. I think they might kind of not want the #1, only because she'd get a lot of hate if she broke a record of someone like Michael Jackson.

Latest digital songs chart:

1 Bruno Mars - It Will Rain 166k (down 15%) - climbing 3-1 on a 10+% fall? Oh dear. Glad to see it #1 though.

2 Rihanna feat. Calvin Harris - We Found Love 164k (down 22%)

3 LMFAO - Sexy And I Know It 157k (down 30%)

4 Flo Rida - Good Feeling 126k (down 11%)

5 Jay-Z and Kanye West - Niggas In Paris 113k (up 68%) :D

6 Maroon 5 feat. Christina Aguilera - Moves Like Jagger 104k (down 16%)

7 Katy Perry - The One That Got Away 95k (down 31%)

8 T-Pain feat. Wiz Khalifa and Lily Allen - 5 O'Clock 95k (up 12%)

9 Adele - Someone Like You 94k (down 24%) - below 100k :(

10 David Guetta feat. Usher - Without You 82k (down 23%)

Rihanna managed a sixth week at #1 on the Hot 100 and I can't see anything stopping it from at least matching the run of Rolling In The Deep.

'21' has rebounded 7-2 on the Billboard 200 on just a 2% increase, just because everything else ahead of it was plummeting  Shame it had to break its top 5 run last week.

Strange that sales are so low both in the UK and the US.

Glee Cast have such a huge lead!! Much bigger than Rumour Has It/Someone Like You had. They're like double of Rihanna!

I don't think I've even ever heard the song they've covered.

Katy is hosting SNL this weekend, might give the song a bit of a boost (not performing though)

I love the HELL out of Fun. - can't believe theyre top 15!!

Red Solo Cup is hilarious, but awful. GTFO out of the top 10 please.

WFL needs to GTFO as well, 6 weeks at #1 is enough. Poor SAIKI and IWR are stuck at #2 and GF and TOTGA don't even stand a chance.

Also, Jay-Z breaks the record of most top 10s by a rapper this week. Watch the Throne.

Okay, why is this 'We Are Young' song doing so ridiculously well? It could even outsell RHI/SLY at this rate (although overall sales at the top of the chart are much lower this week than they were when RHI/SLY was released so probably not by much).

Good to see Jay-Z breaking the H100 top 10 record but he's just distinguished himself from Lil Wayne and Ludacris (both on 17) and they're both prevalent enough to overtake him again whenever they want to. Well, Lil Wayne is anyway. It's been a while since Ludacris last had a big hit in the US.

Ooh, so could 'We Are Young' actually go top 10 officially? I've already forgotten where RHI/SLY charted. I think this one could be doing so well maybe because of the way it was used in the show, at the end in a scene some found quite emotional. The fact many might not know the original could also help? But it's great if it helps the original chart too. :D

Rumour Has It/ Someone Like You charted at #11 Damn Airplay.

01. Glee Cast - We Are Young 100%

02. Rihanna & Calvin Harris - We Found Love 53.1%

03. Lmfao - Sexy And I Know It 50.6%

04. Bruno Mars - It Will Rain 49.5%

05. Flo Rida - Good Feeling 46.9%

06. Katy Perry - The One That Got Away 44.3%

If I was Katy Perry I would be attempting to promote anywhere and everywhere! She has a magnificent chance of going number one on US iTunes as Glee will start dramatically dropping sooner than later.

RHI/SLY got #5 on the digital chart (IIRC) and #11 on the Hot 100.

Lil Wayne has a new song with Ke$ha out next week, so maybe he'll catch up with Jay-Z again. His song this week with T-Pain isn't really doing that well tbh.

Is it a Lil Wayne song featuring Ke$ha or a Ke$ha song featuring Lil Wayne?

It's a remix of Sleazy, it has other rappers on but I don't remember which. So it's a Ke$ha song featuring Lil' Wayne.

Ah. I doubt that'll do much to be honest.

Ke$ha ft. Lil Wayne and also T.I., Wiz Khalifa and Andre 3000. It's a remix of Sleazy, which was a promo single from previous album, so it's actually quite an old song. It would sound amazing as a posse cut though! The beat is amazing.

I remember at the time I thought Sleazy would be her 2nd single, and everybody on here was like "Nooooooooo. I hope not. It's awful. It has no tune".

Has SLY gone up at all today? Melanie sang it on X-Factor last night - I know it won't have much effect but still...

They cut the price majorly which is already trying A LOT. Plus, she's the host of Saturday Night Live this saturday, just in time for the price cut. To me, it seems like they want it A LOT. In the US market, there isn't much you can do besides airplay and there isn't any major X Factor-like show to boost song sales so there isn't much more she can actually. Cutting the price is already more than 90% of the artists, topping that off with two extremely high-profile TV appearances (SNL and AMAs) and the song being used in the TV commercials for the A Week with Marilyn movie is certainly waaaay too much above the usual.
