Meanwhile, the Wanted look set to spend a second week at the top of the singles chart – with Glad You Came a strong 6,000 sales ahead of DJ Fresh Feat. Sian Evans at number two.

David Guetta Feat. Flo Rida and Nikki Minaj moves up from 18-15 and Island signing Rizzle Kicks’ Down With The Trumpets leaps from 44-25 in a week where the singles chart reflects the sluggish behaviour of the albums.

Beady Eye’s The Beat Goes On and Blink 182’s Up All Night, provide some variety. They are the only new entries in the top 75 - the former at number 29 and the latter at 32.

Albums

Adele’s 21 looks set to keep its hold at the top of the UK artist albums chart after a return to number one last week – as LMFAO angles for a spot within the top five.

Sorry For Party Rocking is the second album by the relatives of Motown founder Berry Gordy and features the number one single Party Rock Anthem.

But while the Polydor released record is currently resting at number five in the midweeks according to the Official Charts Company, it is just 61 sales ahead of Bruno Mars’ Doo-Wops And Hooligans at number six, signaling a skirmish between the two acts for a space within the top five as the week goes on.

Sorry For Party Rocking is the only new entry in the top 20 this week to date, however this could well change with the unveiling of the Mercury nomination shortlist this morning – which could prompt a flurry of sales for the nominated albums.

One record which is splitting opinion as to whether or not it will be nominated in the shortlist is 21. Having now spent 17 weeks at number one, the record has already opened up a lead of around 6,000 sales over the rest of the market at this early stage of the week.

Adele’s album was last at number one in May. Since then the top spot has been taken by Polydor acts Lady GaGa and Take That, Domino’s Arctic Monkeys and RCA’s Beyoncé, whose 4 spent two weeks at number one before settling as runner up for the second week running.

Other changes within a rather stagnant top 10 include Arctic Monkeys dropping from 6-7 and Rhianna’s Loud slipping from 9-10.

Elsewhere, Kylie’s greatest hits, The Albums – 200- 2010 looks set to debut at 23, 3 Doors down poise themselves to make an appearance at 45 and music from Ghost The Musical enters the album chart at 45.

PLEASE READ THESE RULES BEFORE POSTING

[01] Any member that is caught spamming, or trying to cause an argument to get a reaction will be severely warned with a ban for 7 days from posting on the forum.

[02] This is a mid thread for every artist do not go on and on and on about a certain artist to bring the board into disrepute.

[03] Please be patient when you are asking for a request, as you might not get an answer straight away.

[04] Any member asking for information that isn't in the updates we don't have, always read the topic before you post, I do not want to see questions like Where is Britney? repeated several times on every page of the thread, once is enough, bookmark the page if you don't have time to read all of the topic. Its not that hard.

[05] Do not use BLOCK CAPITALS when posting a sentence its considered as shouting and rude.

[06] Do not use Text Talk.

[07] Do not use a light colour font when posting please its hard to read the topic, not everyone has 100% vision.

[08] Please give a mention to who posted the chart info or the site name where you seen the mid info if you are copying and posting the chart info elsewhere, it takes forever trying to re-edit all the information up for you to see.

[09] Please do not post lists, or sales info unless you are told to by myself or a chart mod, if you do have sales info that you wish to share round them off to the nearest thousand and name your source, do not post precise sales figures.

[10] Regarding chart postions when posted when you see a sum/substraction for example 22+4, 40-7, if you add/subtract both figures together it gives you the actual position for the track. Its just simple addition or substraction. Go Figure.

The Chilis will be practically 2 days behind... ugh, they need a good lead on itunes

Yawn at this week. Looks like LMFAO's album could do surprisingly well, top 3 on iTunes, #1 on Amazon MP3...

As a big fan, I hope Kylie's boxset does well but I won't be buying it - I just don't have the tenner to spare at the moment on a pretty box

Potential No.1: Wanted

Singles/Download Releases: Chase & Status ft. Tinie Tempah, Laidback Luke & Steve Aoki ft. Ludacris, Blink-182.

Potential climbers: Rizzle Kicks, Eminem, Tinie Tempah ft. Wiz Khalifa, Adele [RITD].

Album Releases: Kylie Minogue, LMFAO, Billy Ray Cyrus.

For now make your own predictions, chart info will be posted when available.

Lil Jon is featured on 'Turbulence', not Ludacris :P Anyway, it won't go near T40 :( :( Would like to see Rizzle Kicks get some good midweeks for they are now number 20 on iTunes :D Really pleased at LMFAO's album success too.

Hopefully the Mercury nominations later will result in some good albums getting a boost...

Metronomy, The Horrors, Ghostpoet ?

Adele [sFTTR] is going to struggle to rise any higher, considering her album has hogged the top 2 for the past 5 months plus. The Chilis will probably push her single down a place whenever they chart.

Beady Eye will drop out of the 40 pretty sharpish come tomorrow.

Never expected LMFAO's album in the top 5 :o

Question: What single artists have fallen from last week's top 40 singles chart.

What on earth is Kylie charting with? Another greatest hits?

Edited by tommie

Is the entire top 13 non-movers on the singles?

Not quite. There's a bit of a reshuffle in positions 7-9. Apart from that, the top 14 is static. Stand by for a riveting commentary on Sunday

Thats poor for LMFAO considering how low the album sales are.

Oh well, boring week.

Not quite. There's a bit of a reshuffle in positions 7-9. Apart from that, the top 14 is static. Stand by for a riveting commentary on Sunday

Precisely why I stopped doing the commentary. I did it every single week during 2008 which was famed for it's 20+ week runs for songs dropping 1 place a week or remaining static, there was honestly never anything to write about sometimes  The chart seemed to speed up a bit again in 2009/10 but nobody of note seems to be releasing new music at the moment - there seems to be one major release ever two or three weeks. And there aren't even many songs making their way slowly up the charts at the moment, they all seem to get stuck at #11!

Rolling in the Deep back in top 40 :o :w00t:

I guess SFTTR will have to settle for a peak of #11 (for now). VIDEO?!

I'd love all 3 Adele singles top 40 come Sunday, with 21 at #1, incredible!

Not quite. There's a bit of a reshuffle in positions 7-9. Apart from that, the top 14 is static. Stand by for a riveting commentary on Sunday

The top 20 is going to be really riveting come Sunday, unless the Chilis make some sort of an impact.
