This is fair both Alex and Jessie are too new to be higher.I think Jessie is really good but her first album was rush released she is far better than much of its content.Alex better bring it for album 2 which is still out this year and Rico Love better have more influence than Autume Rowe.

I adore both Jessie J and Alex Burke ... I think both have got success ahead of them actually, well at least I hope so! Jessie's best is easily 'Who You Are' imo, never gets old and I'd LOVE it to be a single so we get more performances and a video for it. I went off Alex a little with the so-bad-it's-good 'Start Without You' and sometimes her personality annoys me a little, but her debut album was surprisingly consistent and 'All Night Long' and 'Bad Boys' are amazing.

Ah Kelis. How good it is to see you making progress. Can you believe that she has yet to attain a UK #1 hit? Not that she hasn't gotten close on three occasions with 'Trick Me', 'Milkshake' and most recently 'Bounce'. Albums wise she's never been much a seller, which is a shame because she is capable of putting out some masterpieces. I always found 'Kaleidoscope' to be her best but last year's 'Flesh Tone' blew that out of the water. It's strange because I find Kelis' music to be likeable whatever style she's invoking. She's an extremely underrated singer in the music world, barely getting a mention amidst the far more popular singers, yet her hit potential still hasn't died down after over a decade since she first released 'Caught Out There'. In addition to that angsty beauty and her three #2s I've already mentioned she's also bombarded our top 5 with 'Millionaire' (#3, 2004), 'Lil Star' (#3, 2007) and 'Acapella' (#4, 2010).

Next up we have the BIGGEST CLIMBER on the countdown. Soaring up 39 places we have resident drunk/sleaze/ex-hooker/cannibal/icon Ke$ha. My opinion of Ke$ha shifts constantly. I won't deny that she makes pretty awesome pop tunes, as evident with her entire 'Animal' LP being one of the best pop records of the past year or so. The EP that followed it 'Cannibal' was pretty dire though and merely just a rehash of everything she's already done. I do admit that her style is very one track. She evidently has a trace of talent but prefers to throw her outlandish personality, autotuned goodness and risque lyrics about getting drunk, having sex etc etc out there instead. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that as it clearly captures the hearts of the youth of today (the gays ADORE her), but I just don't see it creating a long career for her. Hopefully, her next feature length album will show some sort of progress. Still say she should've released 'Kiss & Tell' or 'Blind' -_-.

I love Alexandra Burke  She's easily as good as Leona! Jessie is great as well!

EDIT: Kelis! The epitome of underrated! And I love Ke$ha, with the (undeserved) hate she gets, I thought she'd be lower!

I do kinda feel bad for giving Amy Winehouse my bitchslap now  although I've never been a fan of her music personally
Why should you feel bad? You can't help it if her material isn't for you. :P

Has 'Maneater' passed you by? :P (Even though I find it awfully overrated personally :puke:) but it's surely her most remembered track? Far more so than (the superior and her best for me) 'Promiscuous'. Such an underrated gem

Florence. Oh dear lord. Do people really find her screeching to be "singing"? :( It's awful. Even more so live! :puke:

Jessie J is amazing. I really, really do love her and her album and she seems to be able to put on a live show, even with a broken foot! I'm pleased she made it this high (whether she deserved to after just a short time in the spotlight is subject to opinion) but lower than Ke$ha? I like Ke$ha, but her material seems to be great when I first hear them, but then they don't really last. I get bored of them quickly. (Bar 'Hungover', 'Kiss N Tell', 'Harold Song', 'C U Nxt Tuesday', 'Dancing With Tears In My Eyes' & 'Animal') but whatever. She's been huge so it's no surprise really.

Alexandra Burke I seem to like more and more. In X Factor she was never my favourite until Diana left, although I still like a lot of Diana's stuff, I'm finding myself to be liking Alexandra's material far more and I'm quite surprised that I've had such a turn around  But I'm a sucker for a genuine pop classic like 'Bad Boys' and my personal favourite Alexandra song/single 'All Night Long'. I am also the only fan of 'Start Without You'. I am genuinely not bored of that song and still love it just as much now as I did about a year or so ago. My only wish was for her to record 'The Map', 'Turbulence' and 'Before It Explodes' (with Bruno Mars) for the Deluxe edition of her album! :(

Oh and Kelis? ignoring 'Millionaire' & 'Lil' Star'... I find her awful. 'Caught Out There' & 'Milkshake' are a couple of my least favourite songs ever. 'Acapella' is awfully overrated, especially on here. :puke:

OH JONJO! How you can call Florence's voice 'screaching' while applauding Jessie J so much boggles my mind! :P
Jessie warbles. (Even though I like it as it adds something to her songs for me :( I can't help it. I'm in awe of her haha) Florence genuinely hurts my ears and it's not warbling or singing. It's definitely screeching to me :puke:
Florence is a million times the vocalist Jessie could ever dream of being.
-_-

Cheryl's days on BuzzJack are well and truly over unless she releases another FFTL type hit which will have BuzzJack at her feet once more.

Oh well she always has a place in her Soldier fans hearts

The army keeps marching .

Florence is great, Lungs was a stunning debut imo - I hope the follow up does more of an Adele than a Duffy - i.e. actually worth listening to. I love her style of singing, it's powerful and atmospheric without being bellowing and out of control like Clare Maguire for example who could have had a Florence type career if she learnt some restraint.

Jessie could grow into somebody that I love and has showed promise with Price Tag and a few of the album tracks but so far I'm not looning for her. Nobody's Perfect and Who's Laughing Now are only 'good' and the album sounds a little dated in parts.

really enjoying the thread !

No doubt the two underperforming artists are Mary J Blige and of course Whitney! They both deserve to be top 30 !!!

What always saddens me is that the hideous 'It's Oh So Quiet' is the first thing people think of when you mention Bjork. That and her penchant for beating up paparazzi in a psychotic rage of course. Whilst ISOSQ captures everything she is about perfectly, she has far better songs on offer. CONVERT TODAY.

THIS FOREVER

Oh Rich, you just reminded me of Duffy's downright awful 'album' Endlessly there! :P Sorry to go a bit off topic but it was absolutely dreadful. Well Well Well is quite possibly the worst choice of lead single I've ever seen, and it was one of the worst songs of 2010. The only listenable songs were Endlessly, My Boy, Girl and Don't Forsake Me. The latter being by far the best. Aside from those, it was shameful to call that any sort of follow-up to the amazing Rockferry, which is one of my worst albums ever. I looned over her SO MUCH in 2008 it was unreal. Rockferry barely left my CD player and I bought all her singles. I couldn't stand her in 2010 though :(

Rant over.

EDIT: Oh, and I love Florence & The Machine! Lungs is STUNNING  Particularly Cosmic Love.

No real surprise to see Nelly falling that much, I'm inclined to say she's probably left it too late for a return to 'Loose' type success whenever she decides to bother making an English album again but I could be wrong, judging by how well Jennifer's done recently I suppose. The second album was always her best though, 'Try' in particular.

Love Kelis aswell, hugely underrated artist.

I think Jessie J being this high up should not really come as a surprise, I'm not a fan though and I think the Pitchfork review of her album got it right on the mark.

Glad for Ellie and especially Diana, I didn't think she could manage that high. And Florence deserves to be higher than that IMO. Florence is an amazing singer, and "Lungs" is my number 2 album of all time.
Good god... Kelis and Jessie J above Mariah? Have you people even listened to Mariah's music? Her writing, her voice. I think I'm gonna leave this site for that voting ALONE!
I love Ke$ha :( I think her personality is absolutely amazing too, she's just so care free and doesn't take herself seriously at all which is so refreshing to see. Her debut album was surprisingly strong too and one of my favourites of 09. I've honestly loved all of her singles ... I do wish she'd release a slower song like 'Blind' or 'The Harold Song' to show some versatility but it's not the end of the world. Excited for her next album!

Clearly Björk should be higher than fucking Ke$ha. OH AND NELLY FURTADO. The laziest woman in music. :D

Isn't Kate Bush the laziest woman in music? Or possibly Shania Twain.

I don't think Ke$ha is exactly the worst example of fickleitis on this list anyway! No moreso than anybody else who's only done one and a half albums, and besides she's had a pretty terrific run of singles which Jessie bloody J cannot claim or Pixie Lott cannot claim.
