The reason I included 'Never Leave You' was because the song is DULL DULL DULL with DULL vocals from Amelle (is that her name?) and embarrassingly basic lyrics.

I know it's just opinion, but that was honestly one of my favourite songs, so how did you find the vocals dull? :o They were amazing imo! I listened to the song over and over again. And also the beat was incredible too.

And I thought the lyrics were great too. Quite emotional actually.

I almost managed to be able to watch Tinchy and the Sugababes perform a few months after the song came out aswell, and I was so excited, but it got cancelled, due to crazy JLS fans. :(

I just find it horrifically shit but each to their own.

lol. Fair enough. I guess it makes a change anyways, as usually Number 1 is the one that gets all the hate.

Not the worst but:

I am another one that cannot stand 'Bleeding Love'.

The vizual image that 'bleeding' is evoking ...better leave it at that... And to see millions buying and listening and applauding something that evokes periods in women/ wounds on soldiers etc., sorry , I can't bear. And that 'keep-keep bleeding' was my 'WTF'? moment. Really couldn't stomach it - pity Leona is better known for that song... ( Please don't come with the explanations re: lyrics, I know them. I still see other things when I hear those verses). And the ridiculous praise it received from the public made it even worse.

I'm not a fan of vocal stunts a la Leona and Mariah , but I can actually enjoy some of their songs as I think their voices are very good, I just hate the vocal acrobatics (I find them mostly unnecessary, diminishing a song's value for me). Both have better songs that deserved to be at the top. I actually loved Leona's 'I See You' , 'Run' and 'Happy'. I also like her new one, 'Collide'.

Worst songs for me are anything that's based on talking (instead of singing), warbling unnecessarily, poor musical composition and/or poor lyrics, too much autotune or lack of vocal ability, too much ripping off other well known songs. I know that's a big chunk of the recent music but I don't care for it.

Gimme Dusty, Gladys and Adele any time - I suppose I'm a retro at heart.

3 of a Kind - Babycakes!!!! :puke2: :puke: :puke2: :puke: And it was number one of the week of my birthday!

I agree.

Its my worst song of all time! :puke2:

Please tell me you're being sarcastic?

Nope. Sure it's cheesy as hell but if you compare it lyrically to say, Teletubbies Say Eh-Oh it's a masterpiece.

Blobby, oh Mr Blobby, if only you could make us understand

Blobby, oh Mr Blobby, your influence will spread throughout the land

Let's hear it for Mr Blobby

(Blobby, blobby, blobby)

His philosophy of life will steer him through

And as far as he can see

He's the same as you and me

There's nothing in the world he cannot do

No hill too high, no desert too dry

No road too long, no tide too strong

No bridge too far, he's got a car

No slope to steep, no thought too deep

No star too bright, no squeeze too tight

No tale too tall, no cat too cool

No bass too low, he'll give it a go

No end to his talents, no sense of balance

Blobby, oh Mr Blobby, when disaster strikes you never get depressed

Blobby, oh Mr Blobby, you'll always prove that Blobby is the best

Although he's unconventional in hue

His philosophy of life will steer him through

And despite the limitation

Of his poor co-ordination

He knows he'll show the world a thing or two

(Blobby, blobby, blobby)

Blobby, Mr Blobby, you're the guy who puts the do in do or die

Blobby, Mr Blobby, your deeds are guaranteed to stupefy

No ride too rough, no test too tough

No act too slick, no race too quick

No shot too hot, he'll hit the spot

No style too chic, no joke too weak

No chance too slim, no fate too grim

No foe too strog, no odds too long

No price too high, he's put some by

No dodge, no doubt, no backing out

Blobby, oh Mr Blobby, if humanity's a question of degree

Blobby, Mr Blobby, stay loyal to your Blobby pedigree

Blobby, oh Mr Blobby, you're the one who bears the pink and yellow crest

Blobby, Mr Blobby, you'll always prove that Blobby is the best

Yeah it's a novelty, but some are those lyrics I do think are very clever.

The worst in my memory was Cascada. Oh my god what and absolute load of noise. And the fact it kept Michael Jackson off...... I really liked the song.
Done expect anyone to agree with me but

Lady Gaga - Pokerface

I hate that song aswell. Probably not my least favourite ever, but probably one of my least favourites in 2009 (along with Islands in a Stream, Break Your Heart and Killing in the Name).

But Poker Face was worse in the sense that it was so overrated. The other #1s from 2009 I hated weren't very critically acclaimed.

Bryan Adams - Everything I Do (I Do It For You)

I dislike Bryan Adams, but I hate this especially because it was number 1 the week I was born. Worst of all, it was the last week it was number one and I was born a week earlier than expected

Cliff Richard's Millennium Prayer, however, I think is more of a contender for the worst song ever, let alone no. 1.. Was it a charity single or something? Because I cannot, for the life of me, think of any other reason any sane and/or reasonable person would want to buy it...

My avatar pretty much tells you my reaction to this ._.

I like that song a lot... haha #1 the week I was born as well.

And you were practically crawling by the time it left #1?

It was Fatman Scoop's 'Be Faithful', easily. Awful awful awful, and was my least favourite song of all-time before I heard 'Single Ladies'.

I remember somewhere that "Be Faithful" looked unlikely to make #1, but for some odd reason there was a huge surge of sales (remember this was before downloads) and it shot to #1? I reckon that was rigged for it to make #1.

I think the song probably just grew on people tbh.

I imagine half the population of the UK was born when it was #1.

In recent years, "Pass Out" by Tinie Tempah. From earlier eras, "Billy Don't Be A Hero" by Paper Lace and "The Tide Is High (Get the Feeling)" by Atomic Kitten.
Baby Cakes - 3 Of a Kind abhorrent in every way :puke2: there's loads more but I thought of that one first.

The competition would probably include:

Usher - Burn

Black Eyed Peas - The Time

Timbaland/Furtado/Timberlake - Give It To Me

Nelly ft. Tim McGraw - Over And Over

Lady Gaga ft. Beyoncé - Telephone
