July 27, 201113 yr Up next is another new entry who failed to alight the new list, yet at least Ronan managed a vote! http://i780.photobucket.com/albums/yy90/Matthew_Bridgehouse/RonanKeating.jpg 99 Ronan Keating (4pts) Stats Votes: 1 (Charli) Highest Position: 22 (Charli) Top Ten Finishes: 0 LastFM Plays: 3,152,846 (Solo), 1,762,292 (with Boyzone), 4,915,138 (All together) Karate Kicks: None BMAS History: X-99 Personal Opinion: Decent enough singer, and enjoyed his music at the time, not my sort of thing any more though. "Bio: Ronan Patrick John Keating (born 3 March 1977 in Swords, Dublin, Republic of Ireland) is an Irish recording artist, singer-songwriter, musician, and philanthropist. Keating debuted on the professional music scene alongside Keith Duffy, Mikey Graham, Shane Lynch and Stephen Gately, in 1994 as the lead singer of Boyzone. " AuJrEBtmM1Q  That's one of my guilty pleasures.
July 27, 201113 yr Come on Plan B. :D (wow at John Legend being so low. I know he's not had any proper hits here but his material is absolutely fantastic)
July 27, 201113 yr Author And back we are to our countdown to somebody else with more than one vote and another new entry... http://i780.photobucket.com/albums/yy90/Matthew_Bridgehouse/Devlin.jpg 89 Devlin (15pts) Stats Votes: 2 (Liam, Eyes) Highest Position: 12 (Eyes) Top Ten Finishes: 0 LastFM Plays: 798,153 Karate Kicks: none BMAS History: X-89 Personal Opinion: Not really done anything I like yet. Bit generic IMHO. "Bio: It’s taken a handful of years for Dagenham resident Devlin to take his deep, dedicated lyrics out of the confines of East London and prove his worth across the North/South border. It’s now not unusual to watch Devlin causing carnage on stage in Northampton or booking shows in Amsterdam. At 18 years of age Devlin has what can only be described as a cult following of supporters that value his intelligent and evocative lyrics, in a pool of MCs that all too often spawn monotonous and lacklustre rappers. A diamond in the rough, Devlin’s road to success began at O.T. Recordings where he still currently resides with label-mates Dogzilla, Shotz, Syer, Rachet, and Deverlish amongst others. Devlin was first brought to O.T’s attention when he hit the airwaves on a local radio station at jus 13; even then it was easy to see he had real talent. Devlin would go up radio as much as he could with whoever would let him on, he was also writing and recording songs with friends and local producers at a very young age. " Fq1kqC07S_0
July 27, 201113 yr I don't care much for Devlin, but Runaway is so good    deserved a much higher peak than it got!
July 27, 201113 yr Runaway and Let It Go are both amazing hip-hop tracks. And I love Devlin's verse on Game Over. So yeah, pretty much, I love everything he's done. I love his rapping style as well. It's different enough to stand out, and it's always quite poignant. I expected him to be quite low though, so I'm glad he's done this well.
July 27, 201113 yr Author At 88 we have the lowest placed artist to be in somebody's top ten, he did however get a KK http://i780.photobucket.com/albums/yy90/Matthew_Bridgehouse/MatthewMurphy.jpg 88 Matthew Murphy (16pts) Stats Votes: 1 (Eyes) Highest Position: 6 (Eyes) Top Ten Finishes: 1 (Eyes) LastFM Plays: 14,241,372 (with the Wombats) Karate Kicks: 1 (Troylovesmusic) BMAS History: X-88 Personal Opinion: Not heard any of The Wombats stuff either yet...perhaps these Personal Opinions are becoming slightly redundant. Bio: The Wombats are a three-piece indie band which formed in 2003 in Liverpool, England. The band consists of Matthew Murphy (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Tord Øverland Knudson (bass, vocals) and Dan Haggis (drums, vocals). Murphy and Haggis are native Liverpudlians and Øverland-Knudsen is Norwegian. The members met while they were students at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. The band has released two albums, “A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation” (2007) and “This Modern Glitch” (2011). lv773plAGuM
July 27, 201113 yr Devlin should be a bit higher imo, if only for the amazing Brainwashed (his best track so far imo) and Runaway! His album was decent too.
July 27, 201113 yr It would be me, wouldn't it :manson:! I love Matthew's work as a vocalist. I'm not joking when I say that Tokyo (Vampires & Wolves) got me into music again proper. And they have several other gems in their back catalogue. Indie landfill? Not for me.
July 27, 201113 yr Author Next is another new entry with the frontman of a band.... http://i780.photobucket.com/albums/yy90/Matthew_Bridgehouse/GuyGarvey.jpg 87 Guy Garvey (17pts) Stats Votes: 1 (Chart Wizard) Highest Position: 9 (Chart Wizard) Top Ten Finishes: 1 (Chart Wizard) LastFM Plays: 14,927,285 (with Elbow) Karate Kicks: none BMAS History: X-87 Personal Opinion: At last, some insight! July 27, 201113 yr Well, losing 2 of my top 10 in such a short time! And Devlin! :drama: Looking at the other 8, though, I'd hope that I wouldn't be seeing them for a while. :) Basshunter's tunes are just so catchy. Really catchy. And lovely to dance along to.
July 27, 201113 yr Author At 85, another new entry for an artist who's been popular years, although Katy Perry & David Guetta might have given him a bit of a boost from last year...... http://i780.photobucket.com/albums/yy90/Matthew_Bridgehouse/Snoop.jpg 85 Snoop Dogg (17pts) Stats Votes: 4 (DanieLMFAO, ukscf11,Troylovesmusic, NickF1) Highest Position: 16 (Nick F1) Top Ten Finishes: 0 LastFM Plays: 22,415,955 Karate Kicks: none BMAS History: X-85 Personal Opinion: Before I heard his material I thought I would hate it, but I actually do like most of it, he's one of the better rappers. "Bio: Cordozar Calvin Broadus Jr. (born October 20, 1971 in Long Beach, California, United States), better known by his stage name Snoop Dogg, is a Grammy award nominated rapper, producer and actor. Snoop is best known as a famous MC in the West Coast hip hop scene, and for being one of producer Dr. Dre’s most notable protégés. He made his rap debut in 1992 on Dre’s debut album The Chronic, and then released his debut album, Doggystyle, to much critical and public acclaim. His mother nicknamed him “Snoopy” as a child, and he took the stage name Snoop Doggy Dogg when he began recording. He changed his name to Snoop Dogg in 1996 when he left his original record label, Death Row Records, and signed with No Limit Records. He has been affiliated with the Crips, a U.S. street gang. Several of his cousins, including RBX, Nate Dogg, Daz Dillinger, and Warren G are also hip hop artists and often collaborate with Snoop. In 2000, Snoop (as “Michael J. Corleone”) directed Snoop Dogg’s Doggystyle, a pornographic film produced by Hustler. This film, combining hip-hop with X-rated material, was a huge success and won “Top Selling Release of the Year” at the 2002 AVN Awards. Driven by this success, Snoop directed Snoop Dogg’s Hustlaz: Diary of a Pimp in 2002 (this time using the nickname “Snoop Scorsese”). As a rapper, he is perhaps best known for his “lazy drawl” — a slurred, distinctively calm, laid-back, and rhythmically-complex lyrical delivery. " GtUVQei3nX4
