October 6, 20168 yr Author Temen Oblak (Dark Clouds) as Séyetana turn to Tin GoRFOtdaHOA The Civilization spoof wasn't just a bit of fun, it was a subtle hint, the music of Civilization is some of Christopher Tin's best known work, most famously containing previous BJSC hit Baba Yetu. However, that is not all he's known for, to follow up the album Calling All Dawns, world music based on the day/night cycle, in 2014, he released the classical crossover album The Drop That Contained The Sea, nothing to do with Civilization this time, but a concept album based on the water cycle. Temen Oblak, a track sung in Bulgarian, is the third track on this album. And it did really strike me, so I decided I needed to get this heard for the people who loved Baba Yetu but probably didn't listen to anything after that. It's a choral rollercoaster. (also, if you like this AND Baba Yetu then absolutely listen to , a 12-minute epic where Christopher brings back the Soweto Gospel Choir to sing in Lango *.*)
October 6, 20168 yr Oh yeah this has reminded me I meant to read through your Civilization ramblings at some point. x Not a game that I am familiar with but tbh it sounds like something I'd probably enjoy *. Fear our Egabbaci catapults. x Anyway I look forward to hearing this song as 'Baba Yetu' is of course a thing of wonders and anything in such an interesting language as Bulgarian is bound to spark my interest. (Séyephonia both sending Eastern-ish European language songs *.*)

Ahem. I'll look forward to yours too then :o And Leww, yay at actually getting some hype from the start, it's been a while since I've had that. *.*
October 19, 20168 yr Author Ken Arai does respectably with noted Parasyte tear-jerking instrumental dezLzzu9QCE I never posted about Instrumentals here. That simply will not do. I'll post about my country entry when it gets revealed. So, we came a lovely 17th with 117 points in the spinoff of BJSC Instrumentals, a much better result than we had thought for this addictive soundtrack synth number. It's definitely one of my best spinoff entries, I really should update my table of those on the front page, I've been getting lazy there. But many thanks to all who voted for it. Now go watch Parasyte. That's an order. Temen Oblak gets us a strong top 20 result In what is still one of our better results but underwhelming based on pre-contest odds and predictions, Temen Oblak becomes my third-best performing entry this year as for once, Séyetana narrowly misses out on the top 10 instead of sneaking in there. For once. Like I said, fair enough. And that's, I don't want to be disappointed by an 11th place, because I'm very pleased to get the points from the people who did vote for me and this'll be valuable in my fight-back for EOY relevance but this does make that dream of another position on the medal table or even a win and a full hosting of this thing seem further away (as the top end of the scoreboard, while good, didn't feel like anything I could have sent once again). Never mind, eh. Always next time. So... what guitars do I have for the slaughter then? Well, these are my foremost potentials for now. This is not exhaustive, I may pick something else from somewhere but if you feel like getting a preview of what I may send, they're here. WAfYPtmYBEc 8-OzvIL4d2w 9rhp7SEQQFI 8Be2HJ8Rpxw
October 19, 20168 yr DIEMONDS - omg I love the instrumental part of this, idk about the vocalist's voice though I feel like its just kinda disintegrating into the backing, this would be so much more awesome if her voice was more powerful, same goes for the chorus tbh :( TWILIGHT FORCE - idek what to say about this its pretty stunning it sounds so medieval/fairytale-esque and then those guitar parts *.* Again, the vocalist is what's kinda letting it down :/ VISIONS OF ATLANTIS - I can tell I'm going to adore this just with it starting with a piano, is this gonna be a big rock/metal ballad? :o ooooh her voice is rather stunning and omg that violin too #goosebumps I hope it's building to something hella dramatic... not quite but omg that guitar  I think this could be a grower, I just wish the guitar bit came sooner Arion ft Elize Ryd - omg okay go with this one 100% it is the most stand out!! It's so dramatic and their voices together *.* INSTANT LOVE FOR THIS
October 19, 20168 yr Author Is that the same Elize from Amaranthe? Aye. So I've been excited since learning of this one's existence as it's already a Séyetana duet, kind of. And it's better than the Arion song I've entered in the past. Thanks Lindsey
October 31, 20168 yr Author Arion returns with nation's heroine Elize Ryd in tow 8Be2HJ8Rpxw I just couldn't go an entire year without bringing Finland into it. Séyetana's entry for BJSC XC sees our first self-recycle since Elize Ryd's last appearance in BJSC, that time under her second attempt with home band Amaranthe. This time, she's helping out Arion, aka incredible young Finnish band who I've entered before with Seven (not our Seven, the song was called Seven). Combined, they produce a duet which produces an energetic rip-roarer of a song that is currently being a glorious opener to this contest's semis. We hope you enjoy. and I hope I don't regret self-recycling when I've never succeeded with it before but eh, this song is most excellent and I definitely think it was the right pick out of my potentials this time
November 24, 20168 yr Author Séyetana End Of Year Celebrations First off, I can confirm I will be doing my BJSC End of Year in the same format as I did last year, country by country and ranking their entries, only this time I'm going to go in reverse alphabetical order so we can finish strongly with Aelandor and get Yehesi out of the way early to make it fair and reassure people that they don't need to stick an 'A' onto the front of their country name to get first dibs at everything. Oh, and my own self-evaluation of my own entries first because I will always do that. And then a ranking at the end. Secondly, some people on Skype already noticed that I uploaded a BJSC 2016 nightcore. Which I did to kick off the process of my EoY, I picked 10 entries, one from each contest that I both really liked (so they're a hint as to where my EoY is going, not necessarily my favourite from each contest but all good songs) AND thought they would sound good sped up a bit. Or in the case of Colorblind Cruisin', to see how fast those bars could be spit out while still being understandable. SZ-MhGVqEkY Finally, one of my biggest regrets about the contest this year was that with all the plug sessions, so few of my entries had videos at the length of song I wanted to send, and several had great videos but they were too short, particularly Mirror Mirror whose video is incredible. In fact, only Eluveitie, Beware Of Darkness and Arion had the exact video and Kalafina had a good video albeit not the one that got me into the song. So what I've done, I've collated those shorter videos + made videos out of AMVs for the anime ones + Temen Oblak (because there was no other option for that one so I used something that kinda works) and have 2 minutes of each of my entries in the below video. And at the end I thought I might as well shove in some of the entries I came closest to sending this year, all songs that will be featuring high in my normal EoY anyway and I would love to share through a contest if I hadn't already used the artist this year in most of those cases, including why I chose not to send them. SSWGafxvv0o i.e. if you ever wanted some clips to put to Requiem, which I think I actually did quite well at finding the right clips for, are curious about the LSD video or want to see my inexperienced editing skills at work in putting together some clips from Assassination Classroom and Fate/Zero for Jiriki and To The Beginning, this is the video to watch!
November 24, 20168 yr Colourblind Crusin' and 10000 Luchtballonnen sound so much better in nightcore omg. lovin' the Monody opening too~ :dancing:
November 24, 20168 yr Well, I just listened to all of that video (how self-indulgent to include clips 4x as long as most of these recap videos!!1) - really highlights how consistently great Séyetana were this year, with the exception of 'Dope' which is still decent but could never really get into it properly. Keep up the Séyetana formula xo ('Ichiban No Takaramono' is never happening though)
November 24, 20168 yr Author Well, I just listened to all of that video (how self-indulgent to include clips 4x as long as most of these recap videos!!1) - really highlights how consistently great Séyetana were this year, with the exception of 'Dope' which is still decent but could never really get into it properly. Keep up the Séyetana formula xo ('Ichiban No Takaramono' is never happening though) Indeed, it is indulgent. But it indicates how much I struggled to cut down to 30-35 seconds when making recaps for my own entries for the TBO recaps - it's much harder when you know and love the song and want all the good bits in, that was part of the reason I did this :kink: But yay anyway, I have some good plans for next year, hopefully they fit in my formula. (you're probably right but I have a plan, I'll just force all BJSC entrants to watch Angel Beats then I'll send it :magic: and subsequently get it justifiably vetoed before it wins) ~~~~~~~~~ Séyetana さやたな Alright, alright, alright, now I've got that video up, let's talk about the entries in it. Right at the beginning with Requiem, an absolutely perfect start to the year for me I think, I had been so excited to send it in a way I'm not sure I've quite been with any entry before or since, and that's due to the circumstances in which I found it, off of a nightcore channel that sometimes uploads/shares original hardstyle and trance songs, which said that it keeps getting better the more you listen to it. I got really into it (and discovered a pretty good anime show from it after the fact). I think in January it was all I was listening to. Or nearly all I was listening to, I felt so excited about being able to listen to the song such that I can't really believe how obsessed I got with it looking back now, it feels almost as from someone living another life, and it was only from the start of this year. Indeed I had convinced myself that it would smash much harder than it did, and of course it should have, but at least it was a final entry and it performed well enough, for something that... spoilers for the end of this paragraph, is easily my favourite entry of this year, that's good. And it's really outside my norm as well, I was so pleased with that. Mirror Mirror, again, had a feeling it would do better than it did and I wanted it to do far better than it did, because of the classical-pop-rock crossover sound that sounds so epic to me, but again, no hard feelings because it was a good qualifier. And a pretty essential entry for me this year as I think I'd have sent something from the RWBY soundtrack no matter what at some point this year so I'm glad I picked one of the great ones. The shock and brashness it had, for a ballad, really made the reactions to it nice to see and like with Requiem I got a couple of really strong 18s which made the whole thing seem worthwhile. Shock value and changing tacks definitely worked for me with Tanz Mit Mir, and here, I wasn't expecting a top 10 out of the deal at all. Ironic that the first two entries of my year I was thinking I had top 10 or something at least top half locked down and then this one came out of nowhere. Again, one of my favourite entries of the year, I got them really strong right out of the gate. Because this, medieval and German, played to some of my other strengths I hadn't really shown on the BJSC field before and that I could get a top 10 for a completely left-field entry was pretty awesome. And more 10th places, yay woohoo, sorry Ultraviolenceland, I'd feel super bad about victory-dancing this if Aria hadn't made it now. #taahinoneedsatopten On the other top 10 of the year, this time joint in 10th place but annoyingly I was one place higher here so I couldn't continue my goal of getting the most same place finishes in a final. And Eluveitie, as wonderful as it is, is definitely in the lower half of my entries this year, so it's not the one I'd choose to be my best performing of the year. Like, it's pretty great symphonic metal and it has that wonderful Germano-Celtic sound so it's a song I still love but compared to some of the others I had at the beginning and end of the year, it's a bit more of a 'normal song' and so I have to rank others above it. But you can and should never complain at a top 10 with the contest at this size so I'll take it and it keeps up my run of top 10s on contests ending in 4. LSD, I got a little sick of it by the end of the contest and I haven't been back that much since, if I'm completely honest. It shouldn't have come higher than Requiem. That's not me disowning it, I don't do that to my entries, I'd still rank it 9/10 or so because the initial obsession to send it was obviously there, and what I do like about it is that it's one of the few times where I've managed that sort of sound and I had some great fun with the juxtaposition of the band name and the song title. It just is the weakest of my entries I've sent this year (although I imagine there's a portion of BJSC that sees it as my strongest). Still own and love Jiriki Hongan Revolution and all of the songs that 3-Nen E-Gumi Utatan have done. I ended up entering it because at the time I was a) thinking way too much about how I'd rationalise being cheap and doing the anniversary thing with options like Tuomas Holopainen and Nightwish proper (yes I know they're not THAT cheap but work with me), and b) I was absolutely head-over-heels obsessed with Assassination Classroom at the time. Including the opening themes. Especially the opening themes. Once I got the idea to send them there was no way back. It was a great way to mark my summer, is still one of my favourite entries of the year, and in the end, how it did didn't matter in the slightest. (still want it to not be completely embarrassed when Rejects shows up though) Beware Of Darkness, I was kind of short on great ideas that month, but I thought it was good I managed to send a more indie-leaning rock band in the year and those guitar chords are pretty awesome. It doing as badly as it did, with a few calls to qualify, did leave me questioning my faith in BJSC a little because I thought it had stood out but sometimes you do get those entries that everyone misses (or just ends up in the wrong semi). Kalafina qualifying is probably my favourite moment in BJSC this year, I had convinced myself it was out, I was prepared to weep over yet another anime opening left in the dust and yet it scraped through. I'd been playing it for many months up to this point and it represented a very epic show for me, so I was very invested in its result, well, invested in it not failing, so that was excellent, even at a 33rd and scraping through the semi, that was a true BJSC miracle. Temen Oblak was pretty much my bid for the win this year, and the odds made that aspect of the contest exciting enough. Maybe I'll strike something gold next year, if I'm very very lucky, I think I must be one of the nations doomed to never win though, if this couldn't get top 10. Though I suppose its length and it being eclipsed in quality by Ilumbarada a couple of contests before may not have helped, it was still a pretty great swerve for me to do. Especially, as like with Mirror Mirror and Tanz Mit Mir, the reactions to people listening to it for the first time were something to behold, and it made me feel not so bad about seeing entries that have some form of cheapness about them in the contest once I'd sent one myself. And finally, I closed off the year by breaking a minor duck, qualifying with an act I'd sent in the past, and crucially, not sending an act to DNQ twice. Arion with Elize Ryd was a pretty epic way to finish off the year and it exceeded the expectations I had for it with finishing in 15th so that's left me feeling very positive about the next BJSC, let's hope that gets maintained when I send my next plan to shock and awe hapless BJSC participants and maybe do well in the BJSC. The official ranking that I've done for my own entries then is as follows (hiding remix tags and featured artists because we all know what they are): Nao Hiiragi - Requiem > Kalafina - To The Beginning > 3-Nen E-Gumi Utatan - Jiriki Hongan Revolution > Faun & Santiano - Tanz Mit Mir > Jeff Williams - Mirror Mirror> Arion - At The Break Of Dawn > Christopher Tin - Temen Oblak (Dark Clouds) > Eluveitie - Call Of The Mountains > Beware Of Darkness - Dope > Trippple Nippples - LSD So, that's enough talking about my entries, I talk about them a lot. On to everyone else's. And I mean all of them. ~~ Z-W (we're starting slow) Zanmatony ざんまとに So, with a name that's reminiscent of a medieval West African state, we start with possibly the newest country in BJSC. Hi Andrew, hope you're ready to feel the pressure. Two entries so far, and neither qualified. I was in both semis I believe and I didn't actually help either along, but then lots of us needed time to figure out the sort of sound that does well here. Sexual was actually kind of interesting and suffered from being in a good semi and a bit of a grower, I didn't think much of it on first listen. Chasing Sunrise was a bit more 'seen it before' and not really my thing, a bit too much oversinging although it's the sort of thing that I'd expect to qualify now and again. Keep at it, you'll be relevant soon. Ranking: Amber - Sexual (Li Da Di) > Metrik - Chasing Ghosts Zaminton ざみんとん One entry, and that one entry was Rykka, who submitted a terrible Eurovision entry and Movies wasn't really much better. The chorus just falls so flat. Of course, if Zaminton want to come back I'm not stopping them but bring something I'll enjoy more thx x Ranking: Rykka - Movies Yehesi いぇへし The only country that's entered more than two contests in this section and it's my ultimate rivals at the moment, Yehesi, if I'm deemed relevant enough for that. I was scared they were going to eclipse me and get a boost to power projection but their latest failure was delicious. Erm. Right, shall we get the stuff I didn't like out of the way first or the stuff I did like. Hmm. Prepare yourself for some honesty Tim (not that you didn't know already that these were my opinions). Well Mariahlynne was obviously dreadful, probably the type of entry (like with Important) that I hate most in BJSC, Bonbon would be taking the title of most horrifically overrated track this year if the thing that beat it to second place that contest wasn't just as bad, Rochelle was okay but in no way worthy of anywhere near 2nd place, and the worst thing about Blushgate was the extra attention it gave to a pretty meh and boring song. PNW was also not my thing while Where Are You was quite anonymous. I think that covers that. Lots of the time, Yehesi, particularly Yehesi pop, is not my thing and so I have not been cheering their successes this year. Most of it. However, if you've forgiven me for the above paragraph, believe it or not, there were Yehesi songs I liked, though, I'm either hot or cold with them. Which has to be better than being mostly 'meh these are all alright', as you then get longer paragraphs. Except for one that was 'meh this is alright', Give You All I Got was a really weird and out of the blue 5th place, but I didn't think it was bad per se, just a bit alright, not that good, but alright. Emerald was actually pretty great, although not quite good enough to point. It was the other two that I could really understand and point, and actually, probably put right towards the best of the best entries this year. There is something really joyful about K3 that I could fall in love with it and bop along in the way that I couldn't with the other pop entries, and it has to be the lifting instrumental. And the juxtaposition of Germanic language singing. That at the same time as Tanz Mit Mir. But a really wonderful and timeless winner, I think definitely one of the best Yehesi entries ever. But not quite the best. Well, there's Windfall. But I think, challenging for that, was the absolutely dark beauty of Dead V, one of the ventures out of pop that turned out to be incredible for Yehesi, I will cheer this forever, because it's right up there with the best sort of Jadakissnia entry and haunting dark entry. If I were to make any requests for next year, it's that to keep their relevance (because obviously next year is the year of Séyetana so y'all need to listen to what I say), Yehesi should send beautiful masterpieces like this. I could use them. Ranking: Nightcall - Dead V > K3 - 10.000 Luchtballonen > LYRA - Emerald > Maan - Give You All I Got > Nakita - Where Are You? > Rochelle - All Night Long > TP4Y - Blush > Era Istrefi - Bonbon > Shay - PNW > Mariahlynne - Once Upon... What をと Obviously, the world needs more What entries if Blake ever feels like obliging us again, using up a band that I'd deemed too risky to enter and miraculously getting a top 10 placing with it, that's one of the best BJSC results this year. Sock N Doll is awesome, thank you for that Ranking: Kontrust - Sock N Doll
November 24, 20168 yr Oh Izzles!! I am already adoring the effort put into this and I shall be following every step of the way *.* Paragraphs <3 Where do I start? Oh, here... I will cheer this forever, because it's right up there with the best sort of Jadakissnia entry and haunting dark entry. Tim receiving the ultimate honour here!! :kink: but seriously, 'Dead V' annihilates all of Yehesi's entries this year (as good as a few of the others are), it is just so incredibly special. I gave it 10 points in the contest but it would get more like 13/15 now ('$ORO' ofc being untouchable)! So bloody good! I am also pining for more What in BJSC!! 'Justice For Saint Mary' was top 3 in my 2015 EOY and I gave 15 points to Kontrust, so they started off on an incredible foot! Oh and Séyetana rank! Why not x Tanz Mit Mir > Temen Oblak > Call Of The Mountains > At The Break Of Dawn > Requiem > Mirror Mirror > Jiriki Hongan Revolution > To The Beginning > LSD > Dope 'Tanz Mit Mir' and 'Temen Oblak' have really been your standouts this year  and I could also really get into all the songs up to 'Jiriki Hongan Revolution' too. The bottom three aren't necessarily bad either! Very good year for Séyetana  (Ps. marvellous recap video! Loved the anime bits that you made for the music video-less songs. And that BJSC nightcore video is spectacular! Massive love to you for including 'Toccata' Plus the 'Monody' intro sounds cool and also a big thumbs up to the 'Hateful Love'/'Einstein' transition *.*)
November 24, 20168 yr I think I may take a page out of your book for this :P (Also nothing is beating "Requiem" as your best entry so far)
November 24, 20168 yr I love that you've found your own niche this year in particular Iz, there's a definite Séyetana sound nowadays and it isn't always to my taste but it does always make for an interesting listen. Tanz Mit Mir sticks out the most for that exact reason, not sure I'd listen to it out of choice but when the semis/final can often get quite samey, that's the perfect type of song to break it up a bit. Keep up the good work Iz, and I love the video, so well made!
November 27, 20168 yr Author Much love for all of the comments guys, especially about my sound and my standout entries  , I'm taking this slow so it goes up alongside the TBO contest (including Rejects when that shows up), so it's not dead if I don't do it every day. V-U Vülkyria ぶるきゅりあ As I hinted in Yehesi's description, You Got Me Baby was pretty awful. And it was a shame because I gave the other Lushington entry 12 because that was so slick and fun and I hoped I'd like this similarly. But that sort of harsh soulful voice really cuts through me and I don't like it, apologies to Joss Stone but man, that was quite unbearable, even the decent beats couldn't save it, so thank goodness it didn't win. LU2VYK was a bit poor too. And Cruels was very anonymous. But Vulkyria are certainly capable of providing some tunes so like with Settle Down, there were two I really liked. Game Over, not many people seemed to be a fan of but I found it a pretty invigorating creepy dance bop. But the clear highlight of Vulkyria this year was Shosholoza, flying a dance-world flag with some beautiful chants and beats, that was a huge Vulkyria hit I could really get behind. Ranking: The Flavor - Shosholoza > Debris - Game Over > Cruels - Give It Up > LU2VYK - 90s > Lushington - You Got Me Baby Varakë ふぁらか Only appearing with Deja's Lustruck this year, I think it was the least good Deja entry so far but still a very good song that shouldn't have DNQed, I feel like I might not have helped that much, semis are just too tight these days. But yes, Varake is still good value, please come back. Ranking: Deja - Luststruck Utopia うちぴあ I only really started appreciating Sour Candy really after the fact, that would have been a great tune to qualify, and if it hadn't had that deduction it could have done rather well. Good song. Average White Band were also very good, so as a year with no qualifiers for Utopia I think, possibly the first of those we've had for RFC, they didn't deserve to have it so bad. Although only entering 2 contests in a year doesn't help with that cause. Ranking: Bleached - Sour Candy > Average White Band - When Will You Be Mine Usfland ゆすふらんづ At least Usfland are qualifying more than once a year because they've sent some truly incredible entries this year, which still got underrated in the final but at least they got there. The two I am referring to are Midnight To Monaco, a beautiful electropop midtempo that I'm sure would have captured several more hearts if the singers weren't male, it resonated so very strongly with me in 87, one of the strongest contests we had this year anyway. Blackbeat by Apollo 440 the contest was also a lovely hit and The Brevet just now was an excellent way to get me some Mumfords tiding over. Really underrated country when they bring some of the stunning male pop or rock that they can do on occasion. Surviving, their big return to the final was also rather good. However, their DNQs were mostly obvious ones that you would see coming, except for Autobahn, a big risk that didn't pay off and that I sadly couldn't help. But definitely not short on highlights and got way better in the latter part of the year, I hope they get even stronger in 2017. Ranking: Midnight To Monaco - One In A Million > The Brevet - Moving Mountain > Apollo 440 - Blackbeat > Sondr - Surviving > AUTOBAHN - Society > Sonny J - Can't Stop Moving > Andrew Luce & Graves - Up To You > Leon - Treasure > Chromatics - White Light Unovia うのびあ Very successful this year in keeping a top half final place reserved for themselves in nearly every contest, but I haven't actually been a huge supporter of these Unovian entries this year, although I wouldn't say any were particularly bad. It's kind the same thing I have with Hushkanukia, they're often decent pop songs that I think aren't too bad and then end up pushing down and out of my votes. Unovia does seem to send quite a bit of foreign language stuff which I'd say I'm on board with but as it turned out the two songs I pointed from them this year were English ones. Ali Barter is pretty obvious, that's the occasional slightly rocky Unovian entry and I really liked that vibe, and Mirage really stood out above the pack as a better than average pop song. TAL is a girl I'm not so often on board with but Are We Awake was decent enough. Capsize hasn't really grown on me that much, it's okay and comes about the middle of this rank but I preferred the other Frenship entry. Anna Wintour was fairly cool I guess, Annalisa was actually pretty good and I think I commiserated that without checking, that's the big foreign language rule coming in even though it didn't quite get into the points bracket, and the exact same goes for Atiye, that was very close to points I remember. Jackie Tech was alright, Rachel Bloom, good meme but song ranked up against all of these isn't that good. So to summarise, no real misfires, a few songs I really liked, all pretty much rank in the 'listenable good stuff' for me. Ranking: Ali Barter - Far Away > Ricki-Lee - Mirage > Atiye - Abracadabra > Annalisa - Se Avessi Un Cuore > FRENSHIP - Capsize > Baby K - Anna Wintour > TAL - Are We Awake > Jackie Tech - You Can Have It All > Rachel Bloom - You Can Touch My Boobies Ultraviolenceland うるたらびおれんせらんづ A few great indie and pop entries from Ultraviolenceland this year, opening up some new horizons for this country, I really liked and supported that, particularly SKIES, as well as NIMMO to a lesser extent. And Ana Mena was a pop Ultraviolenceland entry I really loved, probably almost entirely because it was in Spanish but it was also a very cute fun song and if that sort of thing hits me in the right way like this one did I can never turn it down. ARIA was a great song to get your first top 10 with, it was a strong contest so it didn't come near my points but it's a pretty lovely song anyway and one of the better UV entries for sure. I guess I'll have to address it at some point and I didn't think Lucy Hale was that bad all told, it was really weird to me how it nearly got a top 10, I didn't see that coming at all, although with the success of other similar songs since I've gotten used to calling them, I called Road Less Travelled for sure, but I guess it's a pretty decent country song. Casi was a pretty good pop song of the Hushkanukia/Unovia sort, Liv Dawson and Lauren Aquilina didn't really hit me too much, a little too slow for my tastes, the Paulina DNQ was a bit unfortunate but not one of her stronger songs, and finally didn't like that Fletcher song at all. Occasionally, if they delve into the right genres, can be right up my street, staying in 'pure pop', not so much. Ranking: Ana Mena - No Soy Como Tu Crees > SKIES - Drone > NIMMO - Dilute This > Aria - Maze > Casi - Lion > Lucy Hale - Lie A Little Better > Liv Dawson - Still > Paulina Rubio - Mi Nuevo Vicio > Lauren Aquilina - How Would You Like It > Fletcher - Over My Head
