March 11, 201510 yr Oh gosh this is actually really good isn't it (like, a lot moreso than 'Love Is In Bloom', as much as I quite liked that). Pony repping for sure this month.
April 5, 201510 yr Author Against The Current - Paralyzed PvVhUo-PvVI Séyetana have been swimming against the current recently and we feel rather paralyzed by our bad luck of late. I'm so funny. But it's time to change all that with a BIG CLASSIC SÉYETANA TUNE. :music:
April 5, 201510 yr Perfect choice Iz! I love this band, it's one I've recently gotten into so I'm really happy it's made it into BJSC  Good Luck!! :cheer:
April 5, 201510 yr Author Thanks Lindsey, had a feeling you'd approve! :D I think your entry is very impressive again (from that one time I heard it), so I'm very happy we're in the same semi actually haha. Good luck yourself!
May 6, 201510 yr Author I managed to sneak Jay-Z into BJSC xHQZMMUa0q0 Well, not exactly, but that is what some people have thought at first glance. I don't know who Goodbye Tomorrow is but he has a brilliant flow, more reminiscent of Kanye or Kendrick than Jay, and a very strong message in this song and video (seriously, watch the video as well guys, it paints a trip through racial history and is a 'dissertation on the diaspora of the black soul' which is a very interesting way to describe it!). Also, yes, I have entered my first male rap song, and second rap song after the completely different charisma.com. Let's see how this works out for us. Hopefully quite well. (NSFW language :o)
May 6, 201510 yr This is a BRAVE entry and I rly hope it pans out for you. Could easily pass for a Kanye song, amazed to find out this is his / their first song as well :o
May 7, 201510 yr Very much another layer to Séyetana that I wasn't aware of! This is so full of swag, and yes very much like something Kanye would've released maybe during 808s and Heartbreaks. Very brave and so cool!
June 28, 201510 yr Author CHISU - SABOTAGE jOsW6BHzrD8 Marking our 40th entry (yeah, we've been in this thing for 4 years WHAT), we've taken a return to Finland. For all I keep going on about how I love their music, this is my first entry from there since my 26th, Arion's Seven. That wasn't Finnish language but I've entered two Finnish language songs before that too. None of those three qualified. In fact, my only ever Finnish qualifier has been the glorious Nightwish. Which might have been what put me off for so long. In any case, since Sanni proved that there is no Finn racism anymore I've been looking for a good gap to bring that back, and Sabotage has crept back-up on me, leaving me realising just how amazing it is and what a perfect landmark entry it would be for me. It's cool, it's a bit different in tempo for me, it exudes the best qualities of the Finnish language, and I'm very much looking forward to seeing how it does.
June 28, 201510 yr Author If I'd sent that to the main contest it would have been a Finnish qualifier I'd hope! I thought someone would pick up on that :kink: hoping there are no sabotages for my chances this month
June 29, 201510 yr If I'd sent that to the main contest it would have been a Finnish qualifier I'd hope! I thought someone would pick up on that :kink: hoping there are no sabotages for my chances this month Yeah I actually thought this WAS Sini Sabotage when I first saw it in your PM haha. This is a really lovely song anyway, get that Finnishness.
August 2, 201510 yr Author Stellar - Vibrato pOmTdFpIDX8 I'm on a real Asian high this month. So have my poppiest entry since... Porcelain? Probably Porcelain. Also slightly risqué video. But we're cool with that in Séyetana.
August 6, 201510 yr Good song there. Quite a sexy music video in my opinion. Looking at the comments on YouTube that it has caused controversy but I don't mind that at all.
August 6, 201510 yr Author Thank you Mack! Nice to have a fan in my semi (Yu, shoo with your Girls Day talk)
August 6, 201510 yr Mack there's a better song there, called my entry and also Girl's Day :D Stellar is good, but they are purely 'selling' on their provocative dance routines and poor hens can't even get Top 50 with their efforts.
August 23, 20159 yr This sexy number was why Usfland gave this 11 points. Fantastic piece of K-Pop there. All the best for the next contest.
August 24, 20159 yr Author Worldvision: Mexicans are Kinky 0MtE1lm-KYQ Tasked with Mexico for the exciting spinoff Worldvision, and after sifting through a number of latino ballads, we have settled on the decidedly not-a-latino-ballad 'A Donde Van Los Muertos', translated as 'Where The Dead Go' by eclectic Monterrey alt-rock band Kinky. While not the trashiest we could find, Mexico was rather sparse on that front, we've gone for a slightly more refined sort of entry, and it's very good. We wish Kinky all the best. Rumours for BJSC LXXVIII in Aquafina Séyetana are currently on their second-longest qualification streak ever which means excitement and anticipation is high for a second contest in Aquafina. While nothing is currently set in stone for an entry, rumours are rife that some songs have been shortlisted that will allow Séyetana to return to its home territory of the rock genre this month. Having not done so since our last top 10, Against The Current's Paralyzed, and with rock and rock-influenced songs doing well currently, the pressure is on for the BJSC committee to find a song that can bring the country success again.
September 8, 20159 yr Author Scandal bLJHbKqYcqw Continuing on my tour of 'countries whose culture I really like', Séyetana returns to Japan for the first time since charisma.com. With probably our most 'babymetal-esque' entry since Babymetal. Although less actually metal. Scandal are instead J-pop-rock girlband. Well, they're normally more on the rock side of things, but this release is the most happy and summer-esque I've ever seen them. So I have gotten absolutely obsessed. It progresses so well and those chords are adorable. We shall be hoping to keep our streak and do as well as possible with this one, rock and Asians aren't to everyone's tastes but I hope I can convert a few with the overt happiness of this tune.
September 12, 20159 yr Author QvONtGgtI20 I haven't uploaded a nightcore video for a while and I have been meaning to do this, so here are the first 20 Séyetana entries, up to and including Tonight Alive all nightcored. If that's of any interest to anyone. They all come with my personal recommendation. Nightcore does help me get to 'know' a song quicker anyhow and noted Séyetan classics 'Love Stuck' (32:55) and 'Sonsick' (47:17) really turned out spectacular I think. I'm doing the next 20 whenever I feel like it.
