Dear me, this new Wretch 32 song is dull as dishwater!

anything without a generic pop/dance beat and doesn't appeal to 12 year old girls = dull

right?

right?

Well considering he is in fact a male, that theory is entirely irrelevant here.

Just the fact it goes nowhere.

And as a rap song, Don't Go probably appeals to modern 12 year girls.

The current top 10 on iTunes is pretty varied which is nice and I'm glad its looking likely that we will get an all new top 3 :) hopefully Moves Like Jagger can reach number 1
Dev is now at #83 (radio edit.) I don't know why she's been snubbed. Bass Down Low went top 10 and this new one is a lot less irritating. I wonder if it's an OA/OS release and will get playlisted this week, but I don't think it is.
Team Aguilera and Maroon 5! I really hope they catch up the rest of the week! :D

Why doesn't the entry at #2 on iTunes credit Christina? :(

Dev's not OA/OS unfortunately, she's been played a bit on Capital :(

And the top 10 IS very varied atm (thank god!) we have:

A standard rap track (Don't Go)

A 70s/80s disco-pop track (Moves Like Jagger)

A 90s sounding R&B/Soul track with UK garage influences (Heaven)

A dubstep track (Promises)

A piano ballad (Jar Of Hearts)

A generic R&B club banger (Little Bad Girl)

A generic RedOne club banger (She Makes Me Wanna)

A fun and bouncy uptempo rap track (Down With The Trumpets)

An acoustic pop track (The A Team)

A slightly generic Romanian sounding dance-pop track (Glad You Came)

Good to see a big shake up in the top 6. It was getting a bit stale. Should increase sales.

The oldest thing in the official top 6 is 5 weeks old - if you think that's 'stale' just be thankful you don't live in the USA...

Dev isn't on air, on sale, but neither was Bass Down Low, to be fair.

I agree there's more variety in the charts than even a couple of months ago. Apart from rock music, I think all of the mainstream genres have good representation at the moment (RnB to a lesser extent).

I couldn't agree more, it's brilliant to see so many different types of songs doing well after having the top ten clogged up with the same couple of genres for the majority of the past year. Four or five of the songs in the top ten are completely against the grain of what usually does well these days!

I bought the Heaven single earlier and have been listening to the instrumental and it's definitely VERY 90s, it's like Massive Attack's Unfinished Sympathy or something...

guess i was right about wretch 32...wonder how it will sell!!
I'm loving the variety in the top 10, something for everyone nearly! :)
Lady Antebellum? We really don't need them to be getting another top 40 thanks.

It's probably getting snubbed because Dev is a talentless annoying wannabe rapper. She just hasn't done anything to earn my respect musically. I mean, collaborating with JLS? Releasing a single that is basically a LAG6 demo? :puke:

Didn't notice Just A Kiss by Lady Antebellum doing so (relatively) well :o
If MLJ can't get to #1, I'd be happy for Emeli to overtake Wretch 32.

I really want heaven too be #1, Hopefully it can overtake Wretch! :)
