To pluck some posts from elsewhere that I feel are relevant here:

Trying to predict what Buzzjack will love is a near impossible task which can very easily leave egg on your face when you hit the shocking realisation that actually it's only you that likes it - and not that much anyway because you were just trying to get a good result (NOT the primary aim of the contest!) Just send what you love and at least you'll be happy with your entry - even if you do flop with it!

I always send something that I absolutely love. Because my taste in music is a bit out there when compared with most of the rest of Buzzjack, I don't have any idea what would be liked by most of Buzzjack.

TBH I thought I was taking a little bit of a chance with Video Games but after I confirmed it, it was building up a head of steam not just on Buzzjack but all over the net. I just ope it is a big hit when it does get a proper release.

Who knows, if we have an odd number of participants, you won't have to even worry about DNQ'ing as you can AQ!

 

It does seem odd that we've had even numbers for all of the past four contests, resulting in the host going into one of the seims each time.

 

I also always send something that I absolutely love, but luckily my tastes usually seem to be highly correlated to what does well - in the last 10 contests I've given top marks or thereabouts to all of the winners that weren't mine, and the top ten almost always resembles my own votes to quite a large degree :o

I had 4 choices as well. The one I chose I think is the best out of them, but it's also probably the most 'un-Buzzjack' (not that it's that un-Buzzjack, the other three were all so Buzzjack it hurts, but also quite generic, so I wasn't happy with sending them) so I'll be interested to see how well it does.

You seem to have a good BJSC head already! :lol: Even from my few contests of experience, I've seen how being too generic can hurt your chances.

For the first time since coming back I have picked something by someone who isn't Swedish :o

That's all I'm giving. :P I'm looking through their songs at the minute, but I have a few favourites already. Not 100% certain I'll send them yet....but they definitely have that something something.
