December 28, 201014 yr She most certainly isn't a "cunt" :P. She's lovely in interviews and stuff, she just knows what she wants to do and so far, from what i've heard, she's doing it fantastically. Getting her name out there, with a buzz single as successful as 'Do It Like A Dude' (which has got people talking about her and basically doing well at getting her name out there) I think people will be surprised that someone "who made the vile 'Do It Like A Dude' could make something as good as 'Price Tag', 'Who You Are' etc..." I think she'll get a few of those comments come the release of her next single. I'm personally still loving DILAD, but strangely I can see why it may not be to everyone's tastes. One things for sure, whether you hate her or love her, she will be big next year. I will be incredibly shocked if she "does a Little Boots". You present it all in such a naïve manner. Her label have spent a BOMB already selecting the right video/publicity/image/press training her etc. So much time is going to have gone into her. And that's the general issue I have with these 20XX sound of artists. They're manufactured to "fit through hoops" at the turn of the year. An entirely staged push for the big time. No organic natural flow or development. Little Boots and the rest are all the same. There is nothing "honest" about Jessie J on the basis of what we've seen so far. 'Do It Like a Dude' is a bizarre fakery and 'Price Tag' is bland mimicry.

I think you really have got the wrong end of the stick of what she is about and you don't yet understand what she is about, but I do get what you are saying as this impression can come across with the material she has released. How you can call 'Price Tag' ''bland mimicry'' I have no clue though..
December 29, 201014 yr Price Tag is a fantastic song. Shows her off as more of an artist then Do it like a dude. Do it like a dude is just a silly fun song. All artists have those songs that don't show them as a whole as an artist. B.O.B's appearance on Price tag sadly ruins it a tiny bit and very pointless.

It's totally akin to 'Billionaire' or some such...
December 29, 201014 yr She most certainly isn't a "cunt" :P. I can listen to the song, it's not that bad (not as good as everyone is making it out to be!), but when I see her in that video, JHEEZ. She just needs a smack. It's like, love, chill, plz - you're just making a tit out of yourself and it's not cool. trolololol
December 29, 201014 yr 'Price Tag' isn't that similar to 'Billionaire', yes it's similar in vibe, but it's actually FAR better than that song imo ... it doesn't have Bruno's whiney vocals on it for one.
January 4, 201114 yr Theres a new version of Price Tag with Devlin. Not too keen on him though 45rM_xgxYxw
January 4, 201114 yr Theres a new version of Price Tag with Devlin. Not too keen on him though 45rM_xgxYxw I'm not that keen on that version, sounds more like it will be a remix to be put as a b-side on the single, at least I hope so. The version with B.o.B. is brilliant!
January 4, 201114 yr Woo get that Top 10 smash Jessie! :D Think this will have a very impressive chart run now ... probably pushing it a bit, but maybe like 'In For The Kill' or/and 'Rockstar'?!
January 6, 201114 yr she been nominated in the brand new 2011 poll quite a big award i think she is currenlty 2nd vote for her http://www.mtv.co.uk/events/brand-new-for-2011
January 6, 201114 yr Does she remind anyone of Cher Llyod? Of course not, dont insult Jessie J who can actually sing, rap and write songs Cher cannot do any of that.

I completely agree with this, although, even though Little Boots, Marina, Ellie Goulding etc had their mainstream promotion designed for the turn of year list makers, their development before did feel pretty natural, each building their own little fan base. This year it feels like the artists they're pushing on us are artists that no one really cares about. Jessie J's success so far just seems like the result of being the best of a bad bunch.
January 6, 201114 yr Really suprised at how this has suddenly climbed :o Should make Top 10 this week then :D JLSofficial jessie J "do it like a dude" sikkk..cant get enuff of it, go get a copy if u havnt ..lovin it! Great UK talent! Oritse x
