February 1, 201114 yr Do It Like A Dude was absolutely the right decision. This is her Bulletproof/New In Town. DILAD was supposed to be her Quicksans/Stuck On Repeat. The buzz single that wasn't expected to dent the charts but was designed to get people talking. DILAD just became a hit. Price Tag wouldn't have built any hype at all.
February 3, 201114 yr They've brought the release date forward a month! It's going to be released on Feb 28th! :w00t:
February 3, 201114 yr NICE MOVE :o (A week or two after The BRITS ). I think this album is going to be huge.
February 3, 201114 yr NICE MOVE :o (A week or two after The BRITS ). I think this album is going to be huge. From Jessie's Facebook: Jessie J HQ: Newsflash! Due to phenomenal demand, we are going to let you have Jessie J's debut album a month early!! Yesss! You'll be able to bag a copy as of Monday 28th Feb! Jessie is currently approving final mixes and racing to get the album done: "I'm in a whirlwind right now I'm loving every minute of it. Can't wait for the world to hear the album that I've been working on for the last six years. Bring it on!” I think Price Tag is in for a long haul at #1 long overdue, with all the Brits hype as well.
February 3, 201114 yr Yep. I can't see anything preventing this from being a 4 weeker number 1... it seems to be getting more and more popular...
February 3, 201114 yr YES! Buzzing, desperate for the album, and already pre ordered my signed copy a week or so ago! :)
February 3, 201114 yr Yep. I can't see anything preventing this from being a 4 weeker number 1... it seems to be getting more and more popular... Its also clashes with Beady Eye's and Clare Maguire's debut albums all out the same week, its getting very competitive in the album chart that week.
February 3, 201114 yr Author I'd be very shocked if Jessie J got the #1 album when Clare Maguire is out that week. Not a chance.
February 3, 201114 yr I love Clare but no way will she get a #01 album LOL. She'll probably have similar success to Marina and Little Boots unfortunately .... Jessie J will have huge opening sales, the hype around her is huge and everyone will be curious to listen to it .... same could've happened to GaGa for her opening week if she released it after 'Poker Face'.
February 3, 201114 yr I'd be very shocked if Jessie J got the #1 album when Clare Maguire is out that week. Not a chance. Don't make me laugh, Jessie will walk it.. Claire will get top 5 at best.
February 3, 201114 yr Don't make me laugh, Jessie will walk it.. Claire will get top 5 at best. As much as I hate to agree, it's true. Claire will be looking at a "rumer" sort of chart run...
February 3, 201114 yr Thrilled they moved it forward! I hope we get previews soon. Even though I've heard most of the songs I'm intrigued if the studio versions have been changed at all. Is there any hype about Clare Maguire? I've barely heard anything about her so I think Jessie will walk it.
February 3, 201114 yr Author Radio 1 is hyping Clare Maguire in the same manner as they have been doing for Adele. Constant talk of album release dates etc and lots of play on the specialist shows, records of the week etc. I honestly don't think Jessie J is going to have a huge album. I like both singles but they're too frothy and lightweight to convince the masses to rush out and buy her album.
February 3, 201114 yr I'd be very shocked if Jessie J got the #1 album when Clare Maguire is out that week. Not a chance. Who's Clare Maguire?
February 3, 201114 yr I'd be very shocked if Jessie J got the #1 album when Clare Maguire is out that week. Not a chance. Seriously? Beady Eye will be more of a threat to Jessie than Clare, what with the Oasis fanbase...I can see Clare having a Hurts style top 5 debut and quickly falling, maybe recovering later on in the year - but I can't ever see her being as big as Florence et al. I guess we'll see but she just doesn't strike me as the next big thing - although neither did Jessie and look what happened there
February 4, 201114 yr Love her or loathe her (I genuinely haven't made up my mind yet so this isn't a fan being blind here), Jessie J will walk it to number 1. Clare Maquire? Not a chance of number 1 now, like someone said earlier she will probably have a Hurts-like run. I actually think Beady Eye will provide Jessie J with her stiffest competition (but she will still walk it). Edited February 4, 201114 yr by bellboys
February 4, 201114 yr I think Jessie will crack america. Her music is very american appealing and i think she is likeable. Plus she established herself over there in a small way before she did over here by appearing on a few soundtracks. I think her album will sell very well but could be a small seller at the start. Two hit singles doesn't guarantee you straight success. She could be a slow grower like Florence and Pixie. Edited February 4, 201114 yr by David John
