How can I see the popularity bars in iTunes 9 & 10?

Use this link: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore...aultSeeAllSongs

Then select 'View' and tick 'popularity', alternatively, in the headings bar (Artist, Album, Time, etc), right click and select 'popularity'

The latest iTunes top 100 update (8pm GMT 20th August 2011)

Two new entries today. Maroon 5 enter at #96 with 'Moves Like Jagger' featuring Christina Aguilera. I'd love to say that makes it a massive flop but unfortunately another version of it is #2 (the two versions both being from 'singles', they will now be tagged appropriately to differentiate, though they are credited differently anyway). Nero enter at #99 with the album version of their second single 'Me And You', belatedly completing a set of three album track top 100 entries, one for each of their three hits. 'Me And You' along with 'Guilt' (#50) and 'Promises' (#7 and #84) are all from the dubstep duo's first album 'Welcome Reality' which seems likely to top the official albums chart, one week after 'Promises' entered at #1 on the singles. Re-entries come from Jessie J feat. B.o.B ('Price Tag', #79) and Katy Perry ('Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)' from Now! 79, #95). Joe Jonas, DJ Khaled, Charlie Simpson and Wiz Khalifa have entries dropping out to accommodate the 4 top 100 entries.

Funny that that Kate Bush song was performed on X Factor, because I heard the new Natalia Kills song on Capital the other day. It sounds EXACTLY THE SAME as Wuthering Heights.

I think it will be the first top 40 hit for Natalia Kills (as a lead artist), it's much, much, much better than Mirrors, and Capital are supporting it evidently.

Sorry but what are you on?????? NOTHING on Natalia's album sounds anything like Wuthering Heights? Was it Free, and did they play the version WITHOUT Will.I.AM? HALLELUJAH if so!

This is the song I mean, was it this?

And just HOW does it sound like this:

I'm very confused now

No, they played this version with will.i.am:

Listen to 0:32 - 0:49 of Free

and compare it to 0:45 - 1:10 of Wuthering Heights.

They're exactly the same melody.

:ne: 38. Jealousy (Radio Edit) - Will Young

Young loons out there, don't read too much into this high entry, it's just selling well on pre-orders at the moment and it's no guarantee it'll be massive... it's no guarantee it *won't* be massive of course but still.

:ne: 110. Heart Skips a Beat (feat. Rizzle Kicks) - Olly Murs

Now that IS an impressive entry as the pre-orders went to the EP for this one! (EP straight in at #2 behind Calvin as expected)

:ne: 188. Feel So Close (Radio Edit) - Calvin Harris

That's not too bad an entry either but it definitely looks like it'll play second fiddle to Olly. Hopefully some decent sales for both!

Edited by Bré

Olly Murs in at 110, I still fully expect this to be number 1 around the time I get up tomorrow

beaten to it, oh well - Calvin is also in at 188

Look's like olly is getting his 2nd #1 :) Good start for will probably end up top 20 officially!

Good start for Will, I know it's pre-orders but it should get top 40 - I was worried it'd miss it completely!

Oh my god, it actually does sound the same, I was singing Free over the top  You have a good ear for picking that out, WH is my favourite song from the 70s and among my faves of all time, yet I never noticed :o

Good to see Capital playing Natalia too, even if it is probably because of the Will.I.AM feature. I don't like that version personally, he was just tacked on for the single release (the album version is just Natalia) - though it looks to be working for her, she should have a minor hit!

Will Young - Jealously  29

Olly Murs - Heart Skips A Beat  67

Calvin Harris - Feels So Good  111

Yeah, I was talking about the melody rather than the instrumental (for a change.).

About the will.i.am thing, I was very shocked at first. For a split second when I turned to Capital and heard will.i.am singing, I thought it was Fashion Beats from the BEP's album. Then I realized it wasn't. I also thought he produced it at first, since I didn't know he was added on afterward, and usually when he features on a song he also has produced it. But of course, it sounds very different to most of the songs will.i.am makes, so it shocked me so much at first! :o

Olly  67

Calvin  111

seems pretty clear what the outcome will be, but I'm glad as both are great songs

Will Young doing pretty well even if it will be a bit front-loaded, could go top 20!

I think he was added on for the US release (which has either not happened or Free totally flopped) and they just thought adding him on will work here - which it probably will. Either way, he was 'tacked on' rather than him doing the feature because he produced. Apparently they've played the video intoducing it as 'Will.I.AM - New Video' on The Box etc. which is ridiculous seeing as it's just a tacked on feature :(

Sorry am I missing something ? Will's single was not available for pre order only the EP was ( I have been waiting to get it but it was only available at 12am tonight) The EP was doing well on pre orders then within hours it disappeared and never returned to the album chart.

Will Young - Jealously  27

Fantastic start from Olly Murs, more impressive than Will Young as if you add his Ep & iTunes he will be miles ahead.

I think Calvin Harris will increase tomorrow as it will be Olly Murs's fanbase downloading the singles at the moment.

11. Bruno Mars - Marry You

19. Nicole Scherzinger - Wet (Doing fantastic in Tv Airplay but getting NO radio airplay what is quite suprising)

27. Will Young - Jealousy

45. Sean Kingston - Party All Night

50. Ellie Goulding - Your Song

59. Olly Murs - Heart Skips A Beat.

91. Calvin Harris - Feels So Close.

iTunes PreOrders.

Singles.

54. Dappy - No Regrets (Released 18th September)

61. Ed Sheeran - You Need Me, I Don't Need You (Released 28th August)

66. Pixie Lott - All About Tonight (Released 4th September)

69. Leona Lewis - Collide (Released 4th September)

16. Will Young - Echoes (Released 22nd August)

367  Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds - The Death of You & Me (With video)

492  Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds - The Death of You & Me

quite a good move by Noel, releasing two versions and a bonus of a video with one! I think this could easily outpeak anything by Beady Eye, given their physicals should be pretty strong as well initially

Will Young - Jealously  23

Olly Murs - Heart Skips A Beat  46

Calvin Harris - Feel So Good  72
