If neither Example or Ed Sheeran got to #1, I think Maroon 5 is more likely to get it than Olly, since Olly's sales are decreasing, and Maroon 5's aren't (as much).

But I think they can still get #1, and I'm sure one of them will be #1 in the Tuesday midweeks.

I am sure Nero was going at a much slower pace at this time. I think sales for a number one this week will be around 60,000. Which is perfect for Saturdays & Pixie Lott the following week. It's going to be scary how much One Direction will sell in their opening week I honestly think it will be around 140,000.. It's unmissable at the moment.

The top 4 is going to be really tight this week isn't it? I can imagine them all landing within 55k-75k.

01. Olly Murs - Heart Skips a Beat 100%

02. Maroon 5 - Moves Like Jagger 89.9%

03. Example - Stay Awake 73%

04. Calvin Harris - Feel So Close 72.2%

05. Ed Sheeran - You Need Me, I don't Need You 60.7%

I think Sunday is too early to tell whether there'll be a "chart battle" anyway. I mean, there's been SO many times in the past couple of years where you you're not entirely sure who's going to be #1 on the Sunday, but by the middle of the week, all of a sudden it becomes really obvious who's #1.

Well said, this is exactly what I think. I can see them both going top 3 but I'm sure one of them will pull away by the middle of the week and it'll become clear. It's quite rare to get a proper chart battle and you definitely can't tell if there'll be one from just Sunday.

IMO I think example will take no.1, he will be around 80% by the end of today and I think he will be able to make up 20% tomorrow to get no.1 on iTunes plus he has got his EP selling well
It's weird to think a couple of months ago the top 10 was flooded by American artists. 7/10 are British then next week Leona,Saturdays,Pixie will go top 10 aswell! :cheer: I think Pixie will get number one though..
I'm expecting about 60k, maybe 70k for this week's number 1, 80-90k for Pixie next week and 150k (probably more :() for One Direction. I'm honestly horrified at the thought of putting the music channels/radio on, as I know I'll see/hear it loads of times :(
I hear and see One Direction everywhere, it's on the music channels non stop.. Radio1 B listed it straight away last week :/ I do think OneDirection will get sales off 150,000+ and have one of the highest opening week sales. it went on iTunes for Pre-Order (before the track debuted) and went straight to iTunes number one (albums)

yeah one direction will be massive but i think its actually a good pop song, theyll probably have a follow up ballad in november and perform on xfactor and sell even more!!

their sales will be 120k imo, they should release next week so its not held back too long...that would really shake up next weeks battle

JLS >>>>>>>>> The Wanted >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>x100 One Direction

I hate Boybands I really do, saying that She Make Me Wanna, Glad You Came are very, very good songs.

01. Calvin Harris - Feels So Close (It got number one on the Scottish Charts) this shows how poor the sales in Scotland must actually be.

03. Maroon 5 - Moves Like Jagger (It got number one in Scotland last week

09. Bruno Mars - Marry You

13. Sean Kingston - Party All Night

15. Nicole Scherzinger - Wet

I love the Scottish Chart

I think Maroon 5/Christina could well get number 1 this week, they are catching up to Olly quite quickly and have other versions at 73 and 113!

The Wanted >>>>>>>JLS>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>OneDirection

EDIT: Off Topic but 1,000th Post!!

It'd be a turn up for the books if Maroon 5 were to grab their first UK #1 by the end of the week. It'd be quite strange to see a track go 03-03-01 but it would prove that the track has grown in popularity as I doubt many people would've heard 'MLJ' when it first charted. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Maroon 5's sales increase again this week.

I've just been looking at the iTunes from other countries.

Moves Like Jagger is seriously dominating, like EVERYWHERE!!

Out of the David Guetta tracks that are released tommorrow, it seems the Nicki Minaj one is getting downloaded the most in other countries.

'Turn Me On' was at #12 in Ireland today, which is shocking as it's no way near the best thing on the album :o

'Without You' ft. Usher was around #80 somewhere....

(Changes since 4pm today)
