Posted August 1, 200618 yr Recover :o This was their debut single and according to their official site they're going to re-record it as well as the original "didn't do the song justice". Â Glad they're releasing one of their better ones ^_^
August 1, 200618 yr I'm glad their releasing this as its a decent song and is better than Monster, which has being massivley over-played IMO, and I hope they release track 10 of the album as well, but the name of track 10 escapes me at the moment.
August 1, 200618 yr It's not that good really - then again, I had it in my head for months. At least they're re-recording it...but really, when are these 'major indie' bands gonna stop re-releasing records?

August 1, 200618 yr Is it another case of SEVERE EAR DAMAGE ala Monster? Â SEVERE EAR DAMAGE??? why have you been playing it loud? or do you have a 4 year old kid come round to sing the chorus over and over again?
August 1, 200618 yr Doesn't a 4 year old kid already duet on the chorus (they keyboard player with the annoying high voice)?
August 1, 200618 yr I was hoping for Raoul, I like that one alot, and it could do much better that it did.

August 1, 200618 yr I was hoping for Raoul, I like that one alot, and it could do much better that it did.  Far too recent. I just don't see why they can't release another album track. It seems bands these days are recording their albums too quickly. Debut albums used to be full of potential singles, now it only seems to the be the Arctic Monkeys who've bothered to do that...and since they're not on a major they haven't had to re-release 'Fake Tales' which another band in their position would have done by now...or released 'Mardy Bum' or 'A Certain Romance'. Are there seriously only three singles on the Automatic album? Jeez....
August 1, 200618 yr I really loved 'Monster' at the start, but it has been horrendously overplayed now. I like 'Raoul' and look forward to hearing this. I'm also planning to pick the album up at some point. :P
August 1, 200618 yr team drama. anyway thats good that its not one of the songs that comes straight after monster, as the album dips then before peaking up towards the end.  I've just realised that I was on about the wrong track  I mean track 11 (By My Side) which IMO the best track on the album and I hope it gets released as a single.
August 2, 200618 yr Not a bad choice but I would have actually liked them to re-release 'Raoul,' as a proper single this time. ;)
August 2, 200618 yr Not a bad choice but I would have actually liked them to re-release 'Raoul,' as a proper single this time. ;)  You seriously think re-releasing a single 6 months after its initial release is a good idea? Also, I think it did have a reasonably big release, just cos it only made 32 doesn't mean it hasn't been steadily bought in the aftermath of 'Monster'.Â

Jeez....  at the most there are only room for 3 singles on any album. look at michael jacksons list in the hit singles and album books. in the 70s and 80s, about 53 singles per album, last album 2

I mean 'Raoul,' was an EP, they were selling it for £6.99 in HMV the other day. I'm saying I think they should re-release it with a 2 track and a maxi. ;)
August 2, 200618 yr I gave this a listen, and I like it a lot. Not sure if I like it as much as 'Monster' or 'Raoul' yet, but I can see this doing very well. Edited August 2, 200618 yr by Aly
