Mutya already HAS gone solo, and she has way too much bile towards Heidi for a reunion. PLUS, Keisha wants to do her solo thing first.

I WANT MY NEW MUTYA ALBUM.

wotyougot:

update : the MUTYA has won the right to use the name on anything cardboard and paper, however she has not won ownership of the SUGABABES names itself.

someone got a lil head of emselves there. oops.

Bizarre. Does that mean that they can't print the name on their album or something without her permission?

Certainly it's just a starting point for bigger things to come I suspect and maybe this was the first thing that got approved? Seems a bit odd if she went after all rights and just got... cardboard and paper?

I'm going to guess that this is far from over yet.

The High Court was mentioned earlier, that would have been the place for an appeal. Especially given that the paper thing was decided like a month ago and she'd have had the paperwork for that WEEKS ago.
Ooh god forbid more drama  So she hasn't won the name after all?

I hope so :( But it seems to be all over the Internet now. Freedom isn't going to be released is it? MUTYA! :nono:

Why would she go back to 2.0? Firstly, I doubt Heidi would leave 4.0 for a 2.0 'reunion', that would make her publicity awful. Secondly, I doubt Keisha and Mutya would want to work with Heidi again considering Heidi got Keisha out of the band and Mutya defended Keisha.

Heidi didn't even get Keisha out of the band did she? Just all seems petty to me  Mutya left on her own accord just shows how much spare time she has

This bit actually made me laugh out loud!

Personally, I'm happy if the group can just change their name and move on, because Sugababes have become nothing more than a simple brand name. Hats off to Mutya for going about getting it done, though. I would have thought that Keisha would be the first member to try and get her hands on the name, considering that she was unfairly kicked out and Mutya left on her own accord!

If there is a reason why Heidi isn't going to be in 2.0 it's Mutya. You can assume how bitter she was in 2006 when Mutya left and broken any contacts with her. And there are the rumours that Heidi was massively standing against possible Mutya return in Sep'09 saga.

Keisha and Heidi are pretty fine, especially when they were hugging for a minute and were full of tears the other week at some event.

But with Mutya firstly ignoring Heidi and now (making attempts of) kicking her out or at least massively causing some problems to the band she was co-building with Keisha and Mutya for ten years now, I just can't see them working together. There is so much bad blood between them. But at the same time, even Keisha and Siobhan are getting on! So even stranger things have happened, and the Sugababes area is just a pure bizarre non-stop.

That's the thing about the Sugababes. You never really know what will happen next. Just strap yourself in and enjoy the ride

TBH i don't think she'd won the rights to the name completely, otherwise surely the website wouldn't be up.

Well, if she got confirmation today, it would take a while for everything to fall into place, surely?

Yeah, if she only won her appeal today then it wouldn't come into affect immediately. 4.0 would get a small period of grace to appeal the appeal and to change all the names etc.

Mutya is pathetic

SHE LEFT THE GROUP ON HER OWN and now her solo career hasn't exaclty been brilliant she wants the Sugababes back. seriously...

This is the biggest promo yet for the sugababes this Era.

If she would not continue with the sugababes why would she want the name is it just to get rid of them?

Maybe she'd want to own rights to the name because it's the name of the group which she formed along with Siobhan and Keisha? I can definitely see where Mutya is coming from, the name Sugababes is a joke now and I don't think she wants the name of her group to be remembered as a huge joke.

Yes but atm she currently owns it therefore shouldn't all ventures under the name of Sugababes be stopped or frozen until the appeal is done?

No, normally they don't come into effect instantly. They will be given an amount of time to comply before they are in violation of the ruling.
