Unovia's (me!) BJSC entry, Drop It by That Girl With Dark Eyes climbs 20 places to 36 following the opening of voting and revelation of entries earlier this week. Dog Days (Are Over :P) is LUSH :wub: It's probably my 2nd favourite song of hers so far! I've always loved Florence, I can see how she's winning new fans with this though, as it's 'softer' than the likes of Cosmic Love, Dog Days Are Over etc. 11. I charted it over a year ago, back in July 2010 :o It was used on So You Think You Can Dance in the US and got hype, so I listened and loved it! Then obviously, as you do, I grew out of it as a song in my chart and then all these months later, there's the Glee revival which made me chart it as well as Lea Michele's version, and then that wore off. Then we have the UK release, which baffingly took a year! It came back for a week, then fell out and as it gained hype in the UK it climbed back up! :o 35. 'Til Death doesn't feel like it's been out that long, I look at my chart run and feel shocked! :lol: 36. It's my least favourite entry of mine so far :( I prefer a few songs in my semi to it actually, but I think it should do well. But from next contest on, I'm sending songs I really love, regardless of whether they'll do well! It makes sense, my amazing chart (:P) gives you positive vibes, great!

I still prefer The A Team but it's definitely an amazing start to his career quality wise with these two singles. Agreed about Example :( 49. Same here, although strictly pop country usually. Listening to some of the country songs in the top 100 sometimes I think 'nah'. There was a week in my chart last year that had Sugarland and The Band Perry top three at the same time though!

Both moving slowly on iTunes, I thought Ed would definitely win but it looks it could be neither, especially if one/both are frontloaded :o Just hope Ed somehow gets a number 1, after A Team missed out but how outlasted the past few number 1s in the top 10 :( 49. I'm up for anything (female) country :lol: I'm not bothered with gender usually obviously (of course I prefer female music but I don't strictly listen to only female music in other genres, only country) but male country is just bleh. Whereas with females I just love Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert (both in my top 5 singers ever :o), Kellie Pickler, Martina McBride, Sugarland, Shania Twain, Taylor Swift and I'm even partial to Jolene by Dolly Parton :blush: None of her other stuff though :P

He'll definitely sell shedloads of albums, I wouldn't be shocked if it sold close to, or in excess of, a million :o 49. They all just sound the same, I can tell Miranda Lambert from Carrie Underwood, and Martina McBride from Shania Twain, but Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Eric Church and the others all blend into one :( I doubt you'd like Miranda, she's more 'proper' country than country-pop, Martina is pretty much Carrie in despressive mode (Temporary Home, Just A Dream etc.) - I only have her Greatest Hits from 2001 and a few tracks after that and 4 I own are about abuse (in one of them a girl is beaten by death by her abusive mother, serious stuff!) and her new single is about cancer :o But she has some 'happier' songs, like 'In My Daughters Eyes'. August 28, 201113 yr Not country but 0304 is my favourite Jewel album, it's when she attempted to go pop but surprisingly she pulls it off surprisingly well!
