October 30, 201113 yr Apparently Rumour Has It is the third single in the States so we might get a video on time this time. I hope they release SFTTR fourth there so we finally get a video for it :P
October 30, 201113 yr I think we will get the video on time this time. Well it depends when Rumour Has It goes to US radio. We might get it about a month or so after the "official" UK release.
November 23, 201113 yr Re-entered the Hot 100 at a new peak of #60 after its use on Glee, selling 42k (up 171% week-on-week), also a best sales week for it :D Still hasn't charted in the top 100 yet in the UK :( But the Glee version (/mashup with Someone Like You) is #35. December 4, 201113 yr Finally top 100 :cheer: #85 this week. Really hope this can still go top 40 but after how much the album has sold even #85 is a pretty decent achievement, especially as it's not getting much airplay.
December 16, 201113 yr Rumour has it did chart previously a few months back in the top 75, did it not?
December 16, 201113 yr Rumour has it did chart previously a few months back in the top 75, did it not? That was Turning Tables
February 13, 201213 yr This has just been confirmed as the 4th US single (it was previously 'confirmed' as the 3rd before sensibly being changed to SFTTR of course but it's for real this time) and is going to radio in mid-March :D Hopefully they'll give it a(nother) proper push in the UK at some point in the near future, #85 is a ridiculously low peak for it. Although I think 'Turning Tables' will do better anyway - well, it already has I guess  http://www.billboard.com/#/news/adele-s-ne...006182752.story I guess we're never getting a video for Set Fire To The Rain then if she's already moving on in the USA :( Edited February 13, 201213 yr by Bré
February 13, 201213 yr I hope a video is released, as that will give it a boost over hear too, as I'm sure TV will pick up on it :D
February 13, 201213 yr I think she has another US top 10 in the bag, not another number one though. Although with Adele, anything is possible. If she sings this at the Brits well then we possibly have another top 20, maybe even top 10 as the the Live version will sell loads. I will buy it for one. Edited February 13, 201213 yr by jkac
February 13, 201213 yr The BRITs performances are completely different to those at the Grammys. It's acceptable for an artist to perform a brand new/future single there, but less so here - think of when Lady GaGa did her 'Telephone'/'Dance in the Dark' medley in 2010 and nobody that was a fan had any idea what she was performing. Adele will perform 'Rolling in the Deep' at the BRITs, as it's obviously "easiest" for her to sing of her three big singles; one of which she won't do anyway.
February 13, 201213 yr It was already relatively well known though (making the top 40 for two weeks before the performance, and being performed on other well-known programmes), and to be fair, Adele was a completely random inclusion of performer seeing as she was nominated for a total of 0 awards. February 13, 201213 yr I get you. But then Rumour Has It had A-list airplay on Radio 1 and Turning Tables had Glee (and it's been hanging around on iTunes for like forever) so I would say they're both about as well known as Someone Like You was last year or at least some of the public would recognise them. Maybe if she performed Lovesong or something it would be different but I don't think Rumour Has It or Turning Tables would cause any problems.
February 14, 201213 yr Considering how well this album has done, I don't Adele performing 'Rumour Has It' would be terrible. Certainly don't think it would have the same effect Gaga's performance did.
February 14, 201213 yr If she performed Rumour Has It or Turning Tables many people will recognise it. Don't forget nearly 4 million people own her album plus the trickle sales of each individual song which has given them the #85 and #66 peaks.
February 14, 201213 yr It seems Smash (the new Glee rip-off) are covering this soon, a preview is going round online.
February 14, 201213 yr It seems Smash (the new Glee rip-off) are covering this soon, a preview is going round online. Wow, they're even doing the same SONGS as Glee... (Although not in a mash-up with Someone Like You I guess).
February 14, 201213 yr So Smash is a rip off of a rip off? Oooo I wonder what the next rip off will be. Ambrosia perhaps? Supernoodles?
