I'm a bit biased as I'm a Saturdays fan, but I am suprised how well they've done on iTunes! I thought they'd just free-fall down the chart after Tuesday (and hope for that #1 anyway, haha) but they've been quite consistant sticking around at #3 on iTunes. Last years' 'Missing You' just quite l litrally dropped down the Top 10 all week, ending up at #6 by the end of the week, (don't want to jynx it) but 'All Fired Up' so far has got off to a firey start

OMG.

All about tonight's popularity - 0.750910 :(

Hope she is number 1 tomorrow.

Lol at Pixie starting to freefall. She'll still be #1 though.

She can do so much better than All About Tonight.

A long shot, but I hope One Direction don't make number one. Makes me angry how they have had so much attention. If people cared about the UK as they care about these w*n**rs, we'd not be in the mess we are today.
I still haven't even heard One Direction's song yet. Considering I listen to the radio so much, that's a bit worrying. They should promote it more (not that they need to, but still...).
Horrific performance from One Direction on Red Or Black tonight, they are horrific live (and I'm a fan before anyone jumps down my throat). Despite this, I predict them to be no.1 on iTunes by 2 tomorrow.
Collide  #8

Use Somebody  #51  Still sounds epic after this long!!

Use Somebody deserves to be King's of Leon's million seller, it is miles better than sex on fire, although hopefully with the increased awareness of the song, it can help the song get to a million at some point in the next year or 2

I was listening to Radio 1's Request show this afternoon, and they said it was the most requested song before they played it. That's probably the fans being, well, fanatical, but maybe it isn't getting enough airplay, and everyone's desperate to listen to it. :o

I reckon by 8am, they will be incredibley front loaded.

That's exactly what I'm thinking. They'll definitely be #1 on iTunes by 12pm with a big lead I'd imagine. Will be interesting to see just how big a lead they can get over the next few days, and how strong their lead is this time next week. They've got a very good chance of having the fasting selling UK #1 of 2011 in its first week of release (currently 'Grenade') too.

I think One Direction will sell 100,000 first week. I doubt it'll beat Grenade though. Bruno Mars has much broader appeal than One Direction, and his song was more well-known before its release.

And how frontloaded the song is will depend on how much promotion it gets. If it stays like it is now where no radio stations play it, then I think it'll fall down the chart fast. If Heart, Capital, etc. start playing it now, it should hang around for a while.

The radio stations are all over it? I have heard it a good couple of times on Capital, and only listen to it occasionally. Plus, it is getting massive play on both Radio 1 and all music channels - in once instance, I saw it on 4music three times in the one hour. Plus, it has over 6 million views on YouTube, which is madness for a UK release, 'Stereo Hearts' only has 6 million views aswell, and those views are spread thoughout the world (and its a big hit in the US), while 1D's views will be mainly from the UK, it is going to be massive, and I can see it most certainly topping Grenade's total.

It will be interesting to see how high up 1D are on the first update off all the pre-orders!

It might do. But I don't think it will. Some people thought Cher Lloyd would sell 150,000, and she sold like 65,000 in the end. And the 6 million views on Youtube are likely the same people watching it again and again, like happens with some other videos aswell.

I don't really watch MTV, so I can't comment on that, but the radio airplay really can't be that much. I hear it less than Collide even! And certainly much, much less than songs like Lick Ya Down (although I doubt that got much play on MTV).

I probably shouldn't be commenting on it anyway, until I've actually listened to the song. Perhaps it is really good, in which case it might beat Grenade's sales.

Yeah, but those people who said that about Cher were just being ridiculous. I always thought she would sell around 80k at the most on first week. Also Cher was never at #2 in the album chart for pre-orders alone was she? 1D have so many more fans than her. I hear it an awful lot, the airplay for it has been incredible imo.

Didn't like Grenade when it was released so you can tell how pissed off I was whenever it got the highest first week sales @_@ And now this! I don't mind the song, it's them really ...
So what is officially available to buy this week? I see they've moved MSP
