Oh I forgot about Spain...theirs is also very good obvs, as are Bosnia's and Slovenia's. Lol...I'll just retract that last comment. It's good though.

You also forgot Albania, Finland, Iceland, Azerbaijan, Estonia and Macedonia :kink:

This year's ballads are really top-notch, in my very opinion.

I think it's good classic song but most important: He is an excellent singer!

There are so few good male singers and he is clearly one of the best.

Britain may not win with this act but can participate with elegance and grace - salute!

Can see it doing very well with the juries, I predict a low top 10 finish for us.
Keeping a close eye on Oddschecker atm...our odds are beginning to shorten with a few bookmakers now that it's been released. :D

That is really classy. We can get back into the top 10 with that. It sounds really good.

Oh Englebert, why did I ever doubt you?

I honestly don't know what to make of it. It's all very nice, but the song doesn't really go anywhere. If we're drawn early on in the final, or after something like Russia, we'll be completely forgotten about. Fingers crossed the juries get behind it, as I can't see many televotes coming in for it!

It could do with a gradual build up through the song like 'Why Am I Crying' had. The vocals build up nicely but the backing track just stays flat and they don't bounce off each other the way a really epic ballad does.

It's pretty good though and should do reasonably well for us.

This is quite nice. Although it's a bit... normal? France had a much more dramatic ballad last year and the juries didn't exactly love it. I'd say 11-15th is on the cards!

Yeah they should end it with a 40 piece orchestra and a gospel choir.

The name of this song sounds SO SO cheesy.

I'm going to listen to it now.

Edit: The song sounds nice....but I wouldn't get too carried away. There are quite a few strong ballads this year.

It's not actually that bad :o Nothing amazing, but it's 'nice'.
This is NOT the Anti-Crisis Girl remake I'd been expecting

I was hoping Englebert would give us another taste of dancing lasha tumbai. :(

When I heard the name of the song I could imagine some terrible Europop pastiche but it's actually quite pleasant, if a little underwhelming. The fact that it avoids the predictable big ballad finale could work in our favour, actually.
Well I LOVE it. It's very Hollywood, it's like Kiss From A Rose or something. Very classy, well written and SURELY top 10 at least.
