Nope, the BBC are too scared to ask current acts and I think that they don't think the contest is suitable for them either :mellow:

 

By the way the Mechanical Man thing was a joke one of my friends started, that's definitely not true :lol: Not that I believe Atomic Kitten is either. Are BBC REALLY that clueless?

I would have been happy with Atomic Kitten, I was a big fan back in the day - but in terms of getting a good result, I don't think AK would have done too well :)

I'm not fussed one way or the other. I love Atomic Kitten, and they genuinely are one of my all time favourite acts, but I'd like us to send an act that has a chance for once and I just don't see an ancient girlband doing well in the contest.

 

The Star is such crap, half if not more of their stories are fabricated, I won't believe anything until the BBC announce it. And I bet everyone it's somebody ten times worse than Atomic Kitten would have been :drama:

Of course the fact Jenny hadn't heard about it could be that Liz and Tasha could have been secretly reuniting with Kerry! :o

 

It's a good job Kerry left AK though because Jenny was a key to their eventual success!

Yes, their TV guide is also to taken with a pinch of salt. They once listed BBC2 as showing a film called 'To Be Announced' with Channel 4 showing the same film two hours later. :D

It wouldn't be the BBC if they actually gave a shit.

The news that it's not Atomic Kitten THRILLS ME. They were a genuinely lacklustre girlband with limited vocals and average songs (except 'Whole Again' of course), successful only because girlbands were the 'in thing' at the time. I don't hold out hope for a better choice to be made but at least there is at least some chance we'll do fairly with Atomic Kitten out of the running.

Digital Spy Forums are reporting that someone who claims to know who the representative for the UK is may have accidentally confirmed it is Meat Loaf, before removing the tweets.

 

It'd certain fit the surprise and ancient descriptions we've had so far!

 

Obviously 99.9% unrealistic, but you never know with the BBC!

Meat Loaf has been pretty awesome in the past, but his recent songs have been so mediocre. Paradise By The Dashboard Light will forever be an epic track though!

Oh my lord :lol: Actually I did have a lot of love for his cover of It's All Coming Back To Me Now, mainly thanks to Marion Raven though, if he could get her on board for another duet I'd be for it.

 

I'd actually far prefer him to John Barrowman if I'm being brutally honest, it would be strangely intriguing to see him in the contest.

Rumours are saying that we're entering someone 75 or over. But then, rumours have said everyone from Adele to Barrowman by now.
