November 20, 201113 yr Oh dear, but like I said in the chart thread, glad it remained Top 15 at least. I don't think it'll out-peak #15. Maybe another week in the Top 20.
November 20, 201113 yr I'm glad it went Top 15 but I don't think it will get a new peak, hopefully it will hang around for a while and outsell Notorious!
November 20, 201113 yr I really don't see this making it to, what, 170k+? If it did that, it'd be a relatively big #15 hit. If this manages much over 100k in the end I'd be pleasantly surprised.
November 20, 201113 yr At least it's not their lowest peaking, lol. I'm guessing another 2 weeks tops in the top 40? :/
November 20, 201113 yr I want to know why they are no longer on Xtra factor after confirming they were
November 20, 201113 yr Author #15's not bad but not great either. I think we'll get a better picture as the week goes on. They're not on Xtra Factor now?! What?! Not only where they bumped for the main show, but now the spin-off too? ouch!
November 20, 201113 yr I'd say it's bad for an album launcher. I'm just glad from a fan's perspective that as far as chart positions go it was in the Top 15, but that's still bad. They're in a dodgy place right now. I shall keep my fingers crossed the album can do well though. :)
November 20, 201113 yr I think they pulled out of X Factor unsure if Frankie would be able to do it. Rather than getting shunnted to Xtra Factor
November 20, 201113 yr I hate to be pessimistic but this doesn't bode well for the album at all if a pre-album single misses top 10. It's just that ballads really aren't genre du jour right now so that could do a factor of why. Plus less airplay than normal (bizzarely, because radio normally eat up ballads even if they don't sell as well!)
November 20, 201113 yr I don't think the Saturdays are stupid enough to pull out the x factor tbh. Frankie managed to do children's in need. I fear majorly for on your radar. Such a shame!
November 20, 201113 yr I sincerely doubt they had an X Factor slot. Rihanna and Rebecca were always a dead cert to be on the show. Besdies, aren't Girls Aloud the only girl group to have performed on the show?
November 20, 201113 yr 2bh i feel that this time next week we will maybe having to face the fact the sats story has come to a end.......
November 20, 201113 yr Author 2bh i feel that this time next week we will maybe having to face the fact the sats story has come to a end....... Optimism at its prime here people! Edited November 20, 201113 yr by 2ndAdventure
November 20, 201113 yr It's hard to be optimistic following three lead singles from the album flopping/under performing, why would that give anyone home especially as they have never had album success and they have no promotion next week!
November 20, 201113 yr I don't really think they'll be dropped unless it does catastrophically. Which it won't tbh - it might underperform but it'll pass.
November 20, 201113 yr They're one of polydors biggest names, look at how much Nicole scherzinger has under performed recently!
November 20, 201113 yr I'm not *that* worried for the future of the group. I think worst case scenario is the album goes low teens/high 20s and there is no fourth single and they move straight on to recording album number five. Although I'm under no illusions that if that flopped too, that would without doubt mean the end of the Saturdays.
November 20, 201113 yr It's definitely not the end if this album flops. Let's remember they are signed to the same label that still had Sophie Ellis Bextor signed to it for a looong time ;) Edited November 20, 201113 yr by Scherz
November 20, 201113 yr Even if it does flop, which I don't think it will in the long term (If the right tracks are released), they should just go to Europe/Asia for a while and actually promote their music instead of expecting it to do well. If not, just make a new album, get the lead singles right, promote the hell out of everything and make more interesting music videos that people would watch even if the song was a bit boring or took a while to warm to. Example: I thought bad romance was painfully average and would never play it, the video came out I watched it many many times and because of listening to the song over and over for the sole reason of watching the video, I started to love the song! Also, the music channels don't want to play videos of people leaning on rocks with moody faces!!! Rant over.
November 20, 201113 yr They're not going to promote material in Europe that didn't even do well in the UK. Plus Una is going to be taking time off and what's the point of introducing yourselves to new markets when you're a member down? Not worth it. They'll never break Europe. They need to focus on breaking the UK frankly.
