November 20, 201113 yr Their label NEED to get this album release correct. - ANNOUNCE A FOURTH SINGLE (a good one! I haven't heard any of the album yet. It needs to be as close to Ego/Higher as possible) - PRICE CUT over the Christmas period - PROMOTE EVERYWHERE AND ANYWHERE - ALBUM SIGNINGS - DECENT RELEASE DATE FOR FOURTH SINGLE (none of this "oh let's put All Fired Up against Pixie and Leona, and then My Heart Takes Over against One Direction) This album really needs to sell at least 300K. Seriously. I can see us discussing this album in a few months and going "at least it sold more than Wordshaker" and then we'll be back to saying "hopefully the next album is huge". It's like a vicious circle. :(
November 20, 201113 yr They're not going to promote material in Europe that didn't even do well in the UK. Yeah. A good point! I think I just got a bit carried away with my rant haha!
November 20, 201113 yr I guess we should await the album's position next week, but I'm not hopeful and they're on shakier ground than ever before here. :( I think at this stage even top 15 would be a damn good achievement for this album.
November 20, 201113 yr the thing is its all well and good saying move on to the enxt album and do things right.. but isn't that what this album was all about. Headlines! was the tester to see if they still had a chance, they passed, and despite the proof that MY and Higher and Headlines all did well, theys till f***ed up OYR!!! :(
November 21, 201113 yr Author It was never going to do extremely well when they released singles like 'All Fired Up'. Dance does not sell albums. 'My Heart Takes Over' was meant to turn it around, being the "album selling single" but it's yet another change in sound compared to the previous two. They can't keep hopping between sounds. That's their problem. Too many changes in sound and image. I agree with progression, but there's a difference between progression and changing sound. Some of you need to chill out though, wait until tomorrow at least!
November 22, 201113 yr I guess this will be their worst selling single & the single with the least amount of Top 75 weeks.
November 22, 201113 yr Author Is it just me or is My Heart Takes Over a tad distorted in the chorus? It's a rip from my On Your Radar CD and the chorus just sounds squashed and a bit distorted. Steve Mac being Lazy? It's also the same on my My Heart Takes Over single CD too. Anyone else?

November 23, 201113 yr So it has this week and ANOTHER on the playlist on R1 and apparently was only just added to the Capital playlist this week. :o
November 23, 201113 yr Maybe this will only start to increase on iTunes with the weather getting worse. How weird that radio 1 have supported this song the most yet it's had less AirPlay than previous singles
November 23, 201113 yr Author This will be it's 3rd week on the A-List. They where 2wks A-List with All Fired Up, can't remember about Notorious. It did make the A-List though. It's funny, I had Capital on earlier and they where still playing All Fired Up! And then I thought, "ah maybe they only like to play up-tempos" and then JLS's 'Take A Chance On Me' came on.
November 23, 201113 yr Hopfuly if radio keeps playing it MHTO may stick around in the top 30/40 for a while longer.
November 26, 201113 yr Do you not think it says something, that Notorious and All Fired Up both got on to a second topic, and MHTO hasn't even reached 30 pages yet. Even as fans we are not buzzed by this single.

Even as fans we are not buzzed by this single. I agree. There's just been no major interest in this single compared to Notorious and All Fired Up. There's been an obvious lack of interest from radio stations, video stations etc, and fans as well I have to say. It's the same on PopJustice too. Having to come off the back of All Fired Up and Notorious is just sounds so boring. They need to stick to energetic pop imo. f*** this rubbish 'ballads sell albums' nonsense! Not the case for every artist it seems.
November 27, 201113 yr Don't think it was posted, but the single fell out of the Irish Top 50 from #31. Dreadful.
