I'm not quite at the point where it's my favourite of their singles, but it's definitely not far off Higher at this stage.

It deserved better :D

It's gorgeous. The chorus is kind of anthemic. Never understood how it flopped. Probably my third favourite single behind Missing You and All Fired Up. With What About Us unexpectedly hustling for a top 3 position after me thinking it was shit for months!

What's is gonna be are you willingly walking away from this....?
What about us has always been fantastic. Prefer the Sean Paul version cause it sounds a little more full than the solo version but the solo version has that amazing Bridge. Anyway, MHTO = pure unadulterated awesomeness!
The Video is pure beauty!!
This song is amazing, can´t believe this flopped
It wasnt any worse that If this is love, Just cant get enough, work, Forver is over!!! Better than them :D

I always thought My Heart Takes Over was like Issues Part 2, probs because them + Wish I Didn't Know are my fav songs haha XD

Edit: I think it would do really well if they re-recorded it (giving all the girls a bit to sing) and put it on the new album. I remember many being angered by the fact Una, Mollie and Frankie didn't even get a solo line

It was kinda weird that they didnt have a solo line. Still an amazing song though :)
It's stunning. It's definitely in my top 3 Sats singles! I agree with both Jark and John who have both said the chorus is really, anthemic. The lack of airplay for it (especially for that time of year) was baffling. Heart & Capital should have been all over it. :( This is definitely the 'Whole Lotta History' in their singles campaigns. It's my favourite vocal from both Vanessa & Rochelle and the video is just as stunning as the song.
This is one of my favourite singles from them, if no the best. It's one of their songs that I can just go back to at anytime and it still sounds top notch.
I agree. It's just like I can go back to If This Is Love all the time.

It would have sounded better with more of a piano based sound, like Mollie was playing on a flip the other week. Anyway I love MHTO it's lovely.

It was also most likely chosen as a single as it features no solo vocals from Frankie or Una, both of whom were potentials for missing promo slots during the release, due to their depression and pregnancy respectively.

I really liked it (in my Top 20 favourites of 2011)! Didn't think it would chart as low as #15 though, and as for only spending four weeks in the Top 200...

It's really beautiful. I think The Saturdays are one of the few girlbands that do ballads really well, and not necessary because of the emotions, the lyrics or the melody. I don't know, they just got it right.

It's a nice track, definitely. It wasn't a good single, though. It doesn't punch you enough as a ballad.

Although I'll agree that I'm surprised it flopped. I mean, I wasn't expecting a hit, not even something ala Notorious, but I thought it could have done 160k actually...

I find it hard to compare MHTO and Issues (although I do prefer the former). Issues is so different, it's mellow and almost folk-y whereas My Heart Takes Over is beat-driven and power-pop-ish.

Its bloody brilliant!!
