Reasonable? For customers maybe yes. The industry would fall flat on it's face.

I think that's quite an exaggeration. Each individual download doesn't need to be as much as 99p, but that's as much as they think they can get away with.

Completely agree, Jonjo!

92. Leona Lewis - Collide

I think The Saturdays will climb especially with the 59p should start to run down during next week. Lets just hope All Fired Up gets reduced soon as their losing a lot of airplay.

This hasnt sold as well as I expected, given it sold more than any of their other singles did in its first week. Its dropped pretty quickly.

6wks Top 40, urgh :( They shouldn't have to reduce it to 59p, but they need to stay in the charts to build hype for On Your Radar. Two singles that look like are going to sell less than 200k isn't boding that well so far.
It's #49 on iTunes, The 59p songs should start to drop off, I think they might snatch top 40 this week.
I think this week will be it's last week top 40, It's currently #48 but should climb above Maroon 5 & Nirvana tonight as both have increased to 99p. All 59p songs are dropping as it's no longer being advertised on iTunes. Lets hope All Fired Up is included in the new 59p to continue the promotion for On Your Radar.

I'm not sure this will climb back up. It might overtake some 59p songs but Example and Beyonce's new songs are just below them and will probably climb rapidly over the next week.

Yeah they're out the Top 40 now unless they reduce the price which they shouldn't have to, but they need to be in the charts for the exposure. The tour and album isn't going to sell itself!

Oh dear, 6 weeks isn't very good going, after such a promising start. :( 6 weeks is their second worst length of time in the charts. Their Top 40 runs:

08-13-19-25-36 [if This Is Love] (5 weeks Top 40) [#08]

05-06-07-13-18-22-26-29-35-xx-35-29-32-33-32-37-37-27-40-36 [up] (19 weeks Top 40) [#05]

36-27-06-04-05-09-12-16-26-27-32-35-39 [issues] (13 weeks Top 40) [#04]

02-03-04-14-20-27-39 [Just Can't Get Enough] (7 weeks Top 40) [#02]

38-31-29-22-35-37-36 [Work] (7 weeks Top 40) [#22]

02-08-14-23-37-39 [Forever Is Over] (6 weeks Top 40) [#02]

35-30-20-17-09-14-11-13-19-24-26-34-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-36 [Ego] (13 weeks Top 40) [#09]

03-07-11-16-26-24-33 [Missing You] (7 weeks Top 40) [#03]

22-25-24-22-25-22-10-15-20-20-31-35-xx-xx-35 [Higher] (13 weeks Top 40) [#10]

08-21-33-26-21-18-21-28-31 [Notorious] (9 weeks Top 40) [#08]

03-05-15-21-22-31 [All Fired Up] (6 weeks Top 40) [#03]

Mabye people don't want dance tracks from The Saturdays? I mean don't get me wrong I LOVE Notorious and All Fired Up, and I love how they are experimenting with different sounds and genres, but mabye the general public don't want that from them, I guess we will see with how My Heart Takes Over performs, seeing as how it is more like 'Classic Saturdays'
Yeah they're out the Top 40 now unless they reduce the price which they shouldn't have to, but they need to be in the charts for the exposure. The tour and album isn't going to sell itself!

I guess it's a good job they're releasing another single before the album, eh?

I think The Saturdays will sneak top 40 this week. They're #45 on iTunes (#44 minus Coldplay) They have multiple versions top 1000 aswell. I also think Example & Beyonce will not challange for top 40 this week, it's been left too late and they will drop with the weekend effect.

Much as I like them trying new things, I hope this makes them realse All Fired Up was a step in the wrong direction. It's certainly not what I want from The Saturdays and it seems the general record buying public have spoken too.
To be honest, I think it was a good direction, it dropped out of the top 10 cause of Xfactor and new releases, It would be more stable had it spent even one more week top 10. It's promotion hasn't been the best either but at the same time it's going to outsell Notorious, I wont hold my Breath for the album or single doing amazingly well.
I'm not worried about the chart run really, it's more the fact that over 1/3 of its sales came in its first week ie. fan based. I would rather it peaked at #9 and sold 300k like Ego than peaking at #3 and selling 180-200k.
#45 on iTunes (#44 if you take out Paradise). Looks like it'll fall from #31 to #45 or something which is quite bad but i'd imagine it'll still sell about 7/8K.

It wont fall to #45 on the Official Chart. It will fall to #38-42 nothing below that.

Excluding Paradise (Moving Everyone in iTunes Up 1)

39. Beyonce - Countdown 6.8%

40. Adele - Someone Like You 6.7%

41. Example - Natural Disaster 6.4%

42. Florence & The Machine - Shake It Out 5.8%

43. Katy Perry - Last Friday Night 5.8%

44. The Saturdays - All Fired Up 5.7%

I think Beyonce, Example, Florence have left it to late to come top #40 imo and The Saturdays will have the weekend effect benefiting them.
