Pretty amazing new single from Frank!

I really like Frankmusik but his lisp irritates me SO MUCH. This song/video is nice, but I wouldn't say it's anything more than that and definitely not a patch on Confusion Girl or Better Off As Two.

He has to be one of the most unlikable popstars in history. Just hideous. The girl seems nice, she should cut him loose. Crap song.

Tbh I quite like him. God knows why. This is better than Do It In The AM, but I miss Complete Me era Frankmusik.

This is SO . BAD. WOW. One of the worst attempts for a song which I heard for the whole year. And he was so promising in 'Better off as Two' times!

anyways, I love frankmusik, for being one of the only electropop male singers around right now (most of the other artists fuse pop with r&b or whatever), but this song is not one of his best. I much prefer 'do it in the AM' which I thought would break at least the top 100. it was really commercial, and I heard it a fair few times out of choice. :(

I agree with Doug that he's pretty unique amongst male singers at the moment, although Simon Curtis and even Will Young are on a similarish path. It's kind of the Natalia Kills situation now, either he has to go abroad to get a hit, or he may as well just go for broke and come out as bi.

Disagree. This could be a Colette Carr solo song and it would still suck. Bad autotune, tinny garage-band electro beats, no memorable melody = bad song.

The video is dreadful, he is quite an odd looking fellow, but I do rather like his music. Complete Me is V V good, Do It In The AM is awful, so I've avoided this for a while, but it's certainly very catchy stuff.

 

He really is very much like Simon Curtis and Ro Danishei, at least sylistically which is no bad thing as both of them have put out brilliant albums already this year.

Simon Curtis is also one of the worst people making music. Why do these people who take a DIY approach all, without fail, forget to include melodies in their songs? Endless series of electronic blips and bleeps do not a good song make. And autotune should never be attempted by an amateur.

Well melody isn't the BE ALL and END ALL you know. Although regarding Mr. Curtis, the majority of his music is ridiculously catchy stuff.

It's interesting Natalia Kills was mentioned in this topic, since they're the male and female popstars who have tried everything to try and break through but can't seem to.

 

I absolutely adored 'The Fear Inside', but 'Do It In The AM' was so bad that it put me off the project completely. This is fairly average, but not as bad.

 

It's strange, when he came on the scene at the end of 2008 with '3 Little Words' I thought he had a huge year ahead of him in 2009, but it was quite the opposite.

dreadful on all levels. I actually think he could have been a success, but through himself/the team behind him he's turned in to a complete mess. He's never going to get another hit. His label don't have a clue how to market him or what his USP is as an artist. He'd be better going off in to producing music, as he's no solo career.

This is not bad but I can't say it is great either. I guess the only song by Frankmusik that I've fallen in love with is "Confusion Girl". This new stuff like "do it in the a.m" and "fear inside" is pretty weak. It is a shame because this dude is actually pretty talented. Even if he tanks as a solo star, he will do very well as a producer.

Colette fecking Carr! Love that woman. I like this song, he mashed up the bridge with Jay Z's 99 Problems at Cherrytree London and I have to say he is much better looking in person. I almost didn't recognise him.

This. His Twitter is so cringeworthy and I'll always remember that moronic interview about his ex-girlfriend and her miscarriage (how he wanted to commit suicide or something ridiculous). Seriously, the worst. Colette Carr is bloody awful too.
