Posted September 15, 201113 yr Right so I had asked what people thought about this in the MissInc You thread before, and it's no appeard in an Irish tabloid persons twitter. Here http://twitter.com/#!/paulmartin_bizz So feel free to speculate on how true this is. If it's true what does it mean for The Saturdays? Edited September 15, 201113 yr by Martyn
September 15, 201113 yr If true, surely that would mean at least a year break for the Sats, I don't think they would carry on as a 4-piece... would they?
September 15, 201113 yr I was close to putting a thread regarding this but didn't in case the story is a false. I would be happy for Una, but I have no idea where that leaves The Saturdays are would no doubt rule out 5 singles from the next album, I think they will have to take a break, maybe do a lot of radio promotions around Europe? I am worried to what Una will do in the arena tour as I doubt she will have a lot of dancing to do, thankfully the next single is a ballad what means their will not be a lot of dancing. September 15, 201113 yr Author Thankfuly she would be at around a similar stage to Natasha Hamilton was (although maybe slightly further along) during the Right Here Right Now tour, and she managed to get two music videos done when pregnant (It's Ok and The Tide Is High (Get The Feeling)). So hopfuly the other four would just do what Liz and Jenny did and carry on promoting and Una then can rejoin the band.

Nah but in all seriousness though I am happy for Una but it will effect The Saturdays majorly. Edited September 15, 201113 yr by lee wallace
September 15, 201113 yr I don't think she's pregnant. She still seems to be partying (not Vanessa type parting, but still going out drinking anyway) and at such a crucial point in her career? I'm not convinced. Plus i'm sure she would announce it to the fans first before the media find out. If she IS pregnant though then i'm estatic for her. :D I remember on 24/7 Mollie said "we all wonder who'll be the first to get married, and who'll be the first to have a baby" and it was quite a really joyful emotional moment because you just KNOW the other four girls will be so happy for her and there'll be no animosity or jealousy amongst them.
September 15, 201113 yr It really wouldn't affect them that much. If it was true, she could still promote and perform until she is around 6 or 7 months gone. Plus once she has had the baba, the girls can record and do other behind the scens things. Hope it is true, she'd be a fab Mum and that baby is sure to be a real cutie.
September 15, 201113 yr I actually think this would be good for The Saturdays! Atomic Kitten managed to do it fine as a 2-piece (even in performances). The tour may be an issue, but thankfully it's only 12 dates. But let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. I would be thrilled for her if she is, but nothing is 100% confirmed. Lets just wait and see. I don't think she's pregnant. She still seems to be partying (not Vanessa type parting, but still going out drinking anyway) and at such a crucial point in her career? I'm not convinced. Plus i'm sure she would announce it to the fans first before the media find out. Not at all really, maybe she actually isn't that far gone and hasn't anounced it officialy yet. The media may have just found out.
September 15, 201113 yr Thinks is really sad when the entertainment world ruins something that should be so special & PRIVATE by opening its big fat mouth!!!! From one of her friends on Twitter. (got it from Popjustice)
September 15, 201113 yr From one of her friends on Twitter. (got it from Popjustice) :o If so I don't think they'll be friends for much longer
September 15, 201113 yr I get the feeling this might be true. We all know who quick that WeLovePop etc deny any sort of rumour. This has been going on for a while and they've said nothing! I'm quite worried to be honest. I don't think they could sustain having a gap that big from releasing etc. I mean, some people do still do the job while pregnant. But then it's if she will want to come back after having the baby..
September 15, 201113 yr http://www.mirror.co.uk/celebs/news/2011/0...15875-23423380/ It's true!
September 15, 201113 yr YAYYYYYYY!!! So thrilled for her and Ben. She's incredible, I think she'll make a great parent. As for the career, The Sats can continue as a four piece while she's away. Just because she's pregnant doesn't mean the full group need to stop.
September 15, 201113 yr See, I knew I had a feeling haha! What if she doesn't want to come back though :( Una's really into the whole family thing, she talks about her family and her values all the time. She strikes me as someone who would want to spend loads of time with the baby.
September 15, 201113 yr Delighted for her and I hope The Saturdays continue releasing singles while Una is expecting her baby. I am delighted for her and I do agree Scherz she does seem like a type of person who will want to spend a lot of time with the baby... Hopefully The Saturdays get a boost from this news!
September 15, 201113 yr Author Changed the title of the thread. Very happy to get our first Saturdays baby.
September 15, 201113 yr See, I knew I had a feeling haha! What if she doesn't want to come back though :( Una's really into the whole family thing, she talks about her family and her values all the time. She strikes me as someone who would want to spend loads of time with the baby. I wouldn't put it past her of wanting time off, or maybe wanting to leave the group once her sprog drops, but it's up to her and at the end of the day we gotta respect her decision. The sad thing is they've said recently numerous times (infact it was Una who said this last week!) that if one of them left then they would be irreplacable - whether or not that questions a split is open to interpretation. Atomic Kitten survived on just 2 members for a while so I don't see why The Sats can't manage for a while with 4 when Una is ready to pop. They'll be able to promote the next single and album with no bother, however I am slighly worried for her during the tour. It's only 12 dates but she'll be restricted as to what she can physically do on stage. Very happy for them both and I wish her a healthy pregnancy :)
September 15, 201113 yr Author It's going to be a very pretty child as well, the parents are both fit!
September 15, 201113 yr I'm just happy for her, it may end up putting the group on hold for a bit but this way they have a break to work slowly on material at their own pace and come back with a killer album!
September 15, 201113 yr I am actually so happy for her, she's one of the most genuine and honest people i've seen on television.. she's always buzzing etc and you always get a good vibe from her. I think she will be an excellent mum and I think she will come back to the band and still promote. I just hope we get single four!
