I presume this is UK only... Elsewhere people don't even remember these songs exist, except Loverboy, which everybody wants to forget.

GREATEST hits indeed :P

The trouble is, she has too many hits for one CD, but not really enough HUGE hits for a double-so a lot of Disc 2 is filler.

A strong Mariah Carey "Best Of" would be...

Vision Of Love

Emotions

I'll Be There (feat. Trey Lorenz)

Dreamlover

Hero

Without You

All I Want For Christmas Is You

Endless Love (with Luther Vandross)

Fantasy

One Sweet Day (feat. Boyz II Men)

Always Be My Baby

Honey

My All

Heartbreaker (feat. Jay-Z)

We Belong Together

Shake It Off

Touch My Body

*1 new song*

Hasnt't there been at least two Mariah Carey hits collections already?

Beyonce Greatest Hits

1 Work It Out

2 Crazy In Love

3 Baby Boy

4 Me Myself And I

5 Naughty Girl

6 Check On It

7 Deja Vu

8 Irreplaceable

9 Listen

10 Beautiful Liar

11 Green Light

12 If I Were A Boy

13 Single Ladies

14 Halo

15 Sweet Dreams

16 Run The World (Girls)

17 Best Thing I Never Had

18 Countdown

19 Love On Top

20 New song

Love on Top is not a single AFAIK so I'd replace that with 03 Bonnie and Clyde and include Telephone.

But otherwise that seems pretty decent. Beyonce indeed should release a singles collection.

I agree-Telephone should be on it (if Lady Gaga's record company alows it-or are they on the same label?) But according to Music Week, Love On Top is the next single after Countdown.
videos have been filmed for both "countdown" and "party" but maybe "party" will just be a minor/limited single release... i can see "love on top" performing better, especially given it's top 20 debut in the US based off just one performance

Rihanna has to do a Singles Collection rather than a Greatest Hits. I'd love to have a 2CD+DVD deluxe edition

That's one of my favourite Kanye tracks! How could someone not just  at those utterly gorgeous synths/strings.

I don't think Kanye is ready for a Greatest Hits yet though. If he did do one I think I would prefer one tailored more to the fans (maybe voted for by them, like Björk did with hers years ago) as his biggest hits are some of his worst tracks IMO.

By the way, Mariah always releases country-specific compilations. She practically has to more than any other act as her hits in some countries are so drastically different. Against All Odds would definitely be on the UK/European version but no way would it make the US release though. This was the case for her The Ballads album. I would quite like another Greatest Hits from her though as her last one was a very impersonal contract-ender and released with no personal input from her as it was in 2001 when she was at the lowest point of her career of course.

Countdown was sent to radio instead of LOT in the US but the '4' era has been one big mess after BTINH so nothing surprises me...

LOT was sent to radio stations along with Countdown, it's just radio stations have platlisted Countdown as that was the A side to the single, but it seems the record company have scince changed their mind, and gone to put LOT as the fourth single from the album instead of having it as a B Side.

Can't remember if anyone's said it yet but a Kings of Leon GH could be MASSIVE.

1 Red Morning Light

2 Molly's Chambers

3 Holy Roller Novocaine or Wasted Time

3 The Bucket

4 Four Kicks

5 King of the Rodeo

6 On Call

7 Fans

8 Sex on Fire

9 Use Somebody

11 Revelry

12 Radioactive

13 New song

14 New song

My list is possibly a bit too heavy on their first two albums - add an extra track from OBTN and COS; maybe just have 2 off YAYM (so 15 tracks total).

Potentially a UK million seller? Then again, could be a relative flop. If handled right (great new track, X-Factor appearance, etc) it could be a massive 3rd quarter hit - potentially Christmas #1? I think it could do as well as Bon Jovi's Cross Road - KoL haven't had THAT many big hits, but neither had Bon Jovi, really.

^ Yeah, maybe. Doubt it would be a million seller though, unless the new songs are big. Wasn't Bon Jovi's Greatest Hits promoted off Always - which was a HUGE hit? So not sure if it's a good comparison, as it would have naturally driven people to check out their older material and snap up that as an easy route in that case. But it would do well probably.

Since everyone is making potential tracklistings, Usher Greatest Hits:

01 You Make Me Wanna...

02 Nice and Slow

03 Pop Ya Collar

04 U Remind Me

05 U Got It Bad

06 Yeah! (feat. Lil Jon & Ludacris)

07 Burn

08 Confessions Part II

09 My Boo (w/Alicia Keys)

10 Caught Up

11 Love In This Club (feat. Young Jeezy)

12 Moving Mountains

13 OMG (feat. will.i.am)

14 DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love (feat. Pitbull)

15 More (RedOne Jimmy Joker Remix)

... then x amount of new songs. Can't believe he hasn't done one yet considering he could make a hit-packed single disc GH like this. Not sure if it's worth adding any of his featured songs apart from maybe I Need A Girl...
