I totally forgot to post about this but I got the album for Christmas and it's not as good as Turn It Up anyway. The songs themselves aren't bad per se but the tracklisting is awful. "LET'S PUT ALL THE UPTEMPOS AT THE START AND THEN HAVE A NEVERENDING STREAM OF BALLADS" is not a good way to arrange an album. I got the deluxe so if I delete the filler and re-arrange some stuff it should be a cracking album but I shouldn't have to go to that much effort. There aren't too many singles either are there. Kiss The Stars, Nobody Does It Better... what's left after that? I don't know if she'll even reach Platinum.

The main problem with Turn It Up was the sheer amount of filler. It was honestly a joke at how "obvious" the filler tracks were. :o Saying that, the album still had five great singles and two decent album tracks (Jack and Here We Go Again), this album doesn't have any good album tracks and only one decent single (WDYTMF).

Turn It Up was great, imo only the last couple of tracks were fillers, but even those grew on me.

Turns out you can actually salvage a fantastic album (well for me anyway) from the deluxe edition if you delete a lot and do a shitload of re-arranging! This is what I have on my iTunes:

1.Come Get It Now

2.What Do You Take Me For?

3.Nobody Does It Better

4.Stevie On The Radio

5.Perfect

6.Till The Sun Comes Up

7.Kiss The Stars

8.The Thing I Love

9.Black As Rain

10.Everybody Hurts Sometimes

11.Birthday

12.All About Tonight

All About Tonight being last seems odd but it's the best way to avoid having loads of ballads end the album and it's good to have a strong ending. Birthday I wouldn't include but I needed it to make the transition between EHS and ABT less jarring. Come Get It Now... I treat it like an intro. I don't know if anyone else does but I've always seen it that way. ANYWAY, it's all rather MOR and what not but it's a nice listen. I'll let the amount of effort I had to put in to make this a good album pass because of how high the highs are. NEXT TIME I'd like an album that's good as it is though Pixie.

I think she has flopped this era because people have finally realised what generic, untalented crap she is. Looks can only take you so far.

You clearly haven't seen some her acoustic live performances. She's definitely not untalented.

Sorry Mariah Carey, she has hardly "flopped" she's underperformed. The people release she's "generic" have you seen the sales of All About Tonight? She's also on 80,000+ sales. It's not the worst thing to happen as she will still pass 200,000 sales but an underperformance yes not a flop. She also has a great voiee!

I hardly think she is untalented. She has done some nice songs and hasnt done as well this time round due to a weak 2nd single and lack of radio support. I really don't think her looks has got anything to do with her success to date.

I agree that she's talented but face it her album has flopped. Her songs aren't very good this era, time to go back to the drawing board for her. I can see her label pairing her with top writers for her next album. She has the looks, the voice, the promotion, the profile and the potential fanbase but her songs are letting her down.

Really don't see how Pixie can be rated as having a great voice, although it isn't essential to be a successful pop artist. She has the looks, and radio support. Her first album took time to start selling but went on to be a really big seller. She released so many singles then came straight back with a second album and I think she's suffering from overkill. Will be interesting to see if she can recover or be another one album wonder.

I am sorry, 80,000 is a flop for an artist like Pixie, who has 3 #1's under her belt and a debut album that is nearing a million. Even if she does reach 200,000, I would still say she has flopped by her standards.

If 'All about tonight' had bombed then it would have been understandable. But to have a huge number one single followed by an album that only sells a tenth of its previous? That is flopping.

I think that her change in style, especially going from dance-pop 'all about tonight' to more funky pop 'what do you take me for?', was the nail in the coffin for the era. shame, as 'kiss the stars' is actually the best song on the album and it's going to do absolutely nothing. :(

I don't understand why everyone's ganging up on her all of a sudden though... she tried something out and it didn't work. big deal.

how can you be so sure she'll pass 200,000? if the album is only on 80,000 and we are now entering the time of year when sales are fairly low Kiss The Stars will have to do quite a lot for the album if she's to get another 120k out of it, i think 120-130k is a more reasonable figure at this point.

I would definately say the album has underperformed so far, rather than flopped. Things could turn around with the next single, "kiss the stars" starting to pick up on radio play, so we'll have to wait and see whether this album will be considered a real flop in the long term.

I think people are just expressing their surprise tbh. The public perception is that she's she's still massively successful but after her first album sales you'd expect her to sell the amount she has of her second album almost automatically, she really has bombed. It's quite a change so you can't blame people for remarking on it. She obviously has talent but atm she's better at being in the papers than selling songs. I guess her high profile and the good will she earned from her debut sales sales will keep her safe anyway so no cause for alarm.

The shock for me is how good she was in her first era, I was a massive fan of 'Turn It Up' and even went to see her live, and thought she was great, but the standard of the songs on this album is awful and every live performance I have seen from her lately have been more than disappointing aswell, compared to the acoustic YouTube video days, and when I saw her. She deserves to flop this era, she really does as my intrest is rapidly disappearing with her as an artist.

I just think she's SO weird as an artist. Like, she wants to do these soul style songs which is fair enough, then she sticks on Kiss The Stars and All About Tonight, which are completely different to the entire record, just to give it potential singles. The album isn't horrific imo, it's just alright. I didn't remember any songs, bar the three singles after I listened to it. I want her to do well, but I think she has to sort out which genre she wants to progress in.
