In terms of pop culture in all its various forms, Australia sounds like a DIRE HELLHOLE of a place to live.

For people who haven't seen the NAT BASS live shocker:

I can't stop watching this PLANE CRASH *.*

Jesus, you'd have thought that by now someone at Sony would have at least attempted to teach her how to sing live.

Australia is a wonderful place to live and has a great culture.

Everything I've seen of Australia be it food, pop music, style, television and attitude etc has been nothing but awful. I've yet to come across a pleasant Australian, every single one of them I have met has been utterly conceited and arrogant. Still, good comedies and electronic music.

Only my experience of Swedish people has been worse. Crazy Swedish women stalkers FTL.

For the most part, everyone I met was lovely. They have some great TV, although Channel 7 has an inability to run on time.

You couldn't be more wrong on the food though, they have an amazing range of cuisine from their melting pot of immigrants.

They melt their immigrants? Into a pot? I know Australia are generally right wing but even so that strikes me as a major sleight against human rights.

What else did you think they did at their detention centres?

Oh no they keep their illegal immigrants (or aliens as they call them) in desert prisons or pay countries such as Nauru to be kept in prison there. Lovely people indeed.

She made some comment on Twitter last week about fellow judge Ronan Keating getting more publicity for his X Factor acts than she does. She said 'he would do, he's an international superstar!' or something along those lines. 'International' meaning in both the UK AND Ireland circa 1997-2000 of course.

Poor cow got stuck with the over 25's though, what can you expect!

Bizarrely it's the girls flopping currently, Mel only has 1 act left whereas Ronan and his groups have all three remaining.

I actually watched a bit of the Oz X Factor earlier. We think we have some MESSES in our live shows

I haven't watched much of it at all, only enough to grasp how good/awful the judges were.

Were the girls taken through to the final not up to much then? Surely not if all of the groups remain intact!

From what I've seen the girls are very ropey.

A moment of hilarity was when Mel had two of her girls in the bottom two, it was 2:1 so could have taken it to deadlock instead chose to make it 3:1 voting one of her own acts off. No qualms at all kicking out one of her own acts!

We need Mel for UK X Factor.

Tyla was shit though. Jacqui was/is amazing. Hate Aus for not getting her. Being in the bottom 2 three weeks in a row, what a joke. Not sure why Mel didn't dead lock it though. Voting of Tyla, even I the only Jacqui look in the world, knew she would be next out.

Mel is HILARIOUS on Aussie X Factor! She's such a brazen attention whore only doing it for the press. Love! Probably the most interesting thing to happen on it this season is Guy Sebastian calling that Mitchell character out for supposedly being rude to crew members and Mel immediately piping up OH IF YER RUDE TO PEOPLE I'VE DECIDED I DON'T LIKE YER! and the guy just stood there on stage looking dumbfounded.

Love it! What an icon! She says it so blasé as well, with the shrug of the shoulders and general 'away with you riff-raff' tone to her voice

In other news, Ronan 'international superstar' Keating seems to look a lot younger now than he did five years ago, at least he would if he lost the facial hair.

That was indeed a career-killing performance, she is just completely off tune!

Speaking of living in Australia, I lived in Australia for 7 years and most of the people are quite nice. On human right record, Australia would have a far better human right record than any left-wing European countries.

The last girl left (Christina Parrie) is BRILLIANT though. By miles my favourite, really the talent overall isn't up to much. But they wipe the floor with the embarrassment of a 'performance' by Natalie!
To be honest, was it a mistake to dump Natalie Imbruglia and to replace her with Natalie Bassingthwaighte? I think it has turned out to be a mistake.
I think if Bassingthwaighte tied up her hair a bit, the performance could have looked better, but sadly, her vocal is just terrible.

I must say I CONCUR with this. If she had a SCRUNCHIE to hand it really would have TRANSFORMED her performance into something bordering on the SUBLIME.
