Posted August 2, 200618 yr Does anyone know if Travis have any work done on a new album and if so when are they planning to release it
August 2, 200618 yr i think they are learning another guitar chord (to get them to 5!) and how to move their capo off the 2nd fret. It's a long tedious process but I'm sure they'll get through it and come out with another album soon. :)
August 2, 200618 yr They'll be back soon, I'm sure. They were in the papers a few weeks ago, at Downing Street delivering a giant Post-It Note to Number 10 to remind Blair there's a lot more work to do. [ http://uk.news.launch.yahoo.com/dyna/artic...tml&e=l_news_dm ]
August 3, 200618 yr I alway quite liked them until I bought their singles collection and then realised that they're quite $h!t. Apart from Turn, All I Want To Do Is Rock and Tied To The Nineties anyway.
August 3, 200618 yr if they should return i would like a similar sound to what they started of with and not the dire rubbish they released on there last 2 albums

Apart from Turn, All I Want To Do Is Rock and Tied To The Nineties anyway. Yeah, Turn is most definately their best song! All seemed to be going okay until the "12 Memories" album, I believe that one only scraped platinum and the previous 2 were million sellers?
August 3, 200618 yr '12 Memories' had some good tracks. It was far less commercial than the others so it was doomed to failure. I got their hits album recently and Travis had some interesting songs. They got trapped doing inoffensive rock. As they're presumably rich, they should able to keep making some offbeat records which will sell comfortably. Or they'll release something very dull and sell a million. I know which I'd prefer.
August 3, 200618 yr Author ya all was goingwell until the 12 memories album,i loved all the previous albums but i could never get into this album at all
August 8, 200618 yr i even saw them live on the 12 memories tour... was pretty bland. Keane opened and they were even more bland :(

Bad enough that we've got Coldplay and Keane to bore us sh!tless these days without their bloody protoypes making an incredibly unwelcome comeback..... :puke2: A Travis revival is about as welcome as a fart in a spacesuit....
August 10, 200618 yr i read in record collector that they are currently recording a new album. aparently kt tunstall is making an appearance on it somewhere.
