I think I charted the Rebekka Karijord song back in January iirc! I still like it a lot but as with Karma Karma it doesn't warrant putting it back into my weekly chart after such a long time but I'll still consider/have considered it it when it comes to voting!

 

Still really liking the Katzenjammer album! :D Medina's album is a grower but it's taking a while to click really which didn't happen with the last album at all...Honestly I can only even recall three songs from it off the top of my head at this moment in time...

As for Calvin, I'm Not Alone, Acceptable in the 80s and Flashback are my three favourites of his, oh and Dance Wiv Me I guess if you count that - that went to #2 in my chart!

 

That's interesting to hear. I definitely found that the last album brought far more melodies to the table than the new one. The production is faultless but if there's nothing to grab me then I find it hard to get into things...

21 - What's My Name was the weak link of this era I thought, I think it just about made my top 60.

 

Yeah, very few tracks stood out on first listen. It was good throughout, but I couldn't remember many highlights by the time the album had finished!

21. Definitely not, it's the absolute highlight of the era for me! S&M was my least favourite of the five singles but still very good, better in a club though, I never listen to it otherwise :lol:

 

It seems to be the same thing with so many albums recently, thank god for Nicola (and Le Kid!)

I'm guessing it may be down to the fact most of these albums are follow ups to the artist's best releases to date, so it makes them sound slightly inferior. Either that or everybody's running out of ideas :lol:

4. Agnes - Don't Go Breaking My Heart (63) (CR-32-30-OUT-65-63-4) Finally the studio version! A vast improvement on what we couldn't really hear live, I must say. :D The actual chorus is a bit lame but since it's barely there it really doesn't matter with such a good bridge!

9. Sunday Girl - Love U More (NEW) (CR-9) I LOVE this! I've quite liked her before but this will get replayed much more than anything else. Such a good update!

21. Rihanna feat Calvin Harris - We Found Love (NEW) (CR-21) From when this was posted, a remarkably high debut; and so worth it! She sounds go so good on this track; she may not have the best voice but I think she's really found her emotional range from Rated R and onwards

24. Jennifer Lopez - Papi (Re-entry) (CR-65-20-14-23-OUT-64-63-67-OUT-24) The video really has made this come alive for me again, it's so much fun! She's got such a vibrant personality, I'm glad it's resurfaced

63. Amanda Mair - Doubt (NEW) (CR-63) My obsession this week, just so subtle and gorgeous

67. Cher Lloyd feat Mike Posner - With Ur Love (NEW) (CR-67) My, er, other obsession - I knew she'd win me over eventually, Swagger Jagger was hopefully just an anomaly, since I did always like her on X Factor

72. Monarchy feat Britt Love - You Don't Want To Dance With Me (NEW) (CR-72)

74. Joe Goddard feat Valentina - Gabriel (NEW) (CR-74) A couple of lovely new entries here! The Monarchy tune has a lovely little synth bit that makes me love it :lol:

I think my biggest surprise albums of the year so far are from Linda Pritchard, Selena Gomez and Frankmusik. All of which completely exceeded my expectations!

Frankmusik's is actually rather better than I expected! My biggest two surprises have been Noah & The Whale and Jennifer Lopez - I couldn't care less about the latter before :lol:
