October 5, 201113 yr I don't know anyone who would buy a Katherine Jenkins album for their own listening pleasure You do now. :)
October 6, 201113 yr Outside bets on Steps being the highest new entry, ahead of Evanescence, Jason Derulo and Katherine next week? #9 and #76 on the overall Amazon top 100 despite not being released yet and #59 on iTunes albums, the second highest pre-order! Steps for shock #1!

October 21, 201113 yr Author On 21st Nov I can see RiRi making mincemeat of Worstlife. :) Without a doubt, she'll sell 200k at least I'd imagine. Their sales will be decent though, with it being a GH and with the extra coverage they've received for splitting.
October 21, 201113 yr Author So, the singles front may look fairly cluttered over the next few weeks but what of the albums? What will be the big Christmas seller? Will anything top Adele's 257k week on Mothers Day? I don't know the answer to these questions, hence why I had to look at the release schedule. 02/10 James Morrison - The Awakening 60k 09/10 Officially bugger all out, You Me At Six will be top 5/10 and #1 will be James Morrison, Ed Sheeran or Kasabian on 35-40k 16/10 Evanescence - Evanescence 40k (Jason Derulo - Future History 35k) 23/10 Matt Cardle - Letters 110k (Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds 95k) 30/10 Coldplay – Mylo Xyloto 280k 06/11 Coldplay – Mylo Xyloto 130k (Florence & The Machine – Ceremonials 115k) 13/11 Hmm, could be either of the above plus Susan Boyle and The Wanted fighting it out. The #1 will probably do about 80k 20/11 JLS – Jukebox 110k (Snow Patrol 85k, R.E.M. 50k) 27/11 Either Coldplay, JLS or Westlife - Greatest Hits on about 70k So basically, I have no idea and there's not enough info to do all the way through Q4. It's a ridiculously uneven schedule, with both Noel Gallagher and Florence both likely to miss out on #1 when they would have run away with it in certain weeks. I've done pretty rubbish so far then  My Coldplay predictions shouldn't be far off though.
October 21, 201113 yr On 21st Nov I can see RiRi making mincemeat of Worstlife. :) But she'll still be #2, because One Direction are also out that week. Westlife will probably have to settle for another #3.
October 21, 201113 yr Why do I keep thinking Coldplay wont sell as well as expected? Maybe it's because the lead singles have been fairly weak.
October 21, 201113 yr But she'll still be #2, because One Direction are also out that week. Westlife will probably have to settle for another #3. No chance - Rihanna has a lot more fans than the oestrogen-overdosed type who support 'Wand Erection'! Why do I keep thinking Coldplay wont sell as well as expected? Maybe it's because the lead singles have been fairly weak. When has that ever stopped them before? :P Seriousy though, we haven't been *allowed* to know how successful 'Paradise' might become.
October 21, 201113 yr can't see Coldplay's album doing as much as their previous albums. Probably 250k max (STILL good though)
October 21, 201113 yr No chance - Rihanna has a lot more fans than the oestrogen-overdosed type who support 'Wand Erection'! I seem to recall you saying something similar about Katherine Jenkins ;) If JLS could beat Robbie Williams' (fairly) long-awaited comeback album, One Direction will have no problems at all seeing off a new Rihanna album released barely a year after her previous one. Why do I keep thinking Coldplay wont sell as well as expected? Maybe it's because the lead singles have been fairly weak. ETIAW and Paradise have been extremely well-received in general, have they not? They certainly have on BuzzJack and this is not exactly a Coldplay fan forum. I'm sure MX will do fine. It's #3 on iTunes albums as a pre-order and I'm pretty sure it's never left the top 30 on there since it was put up for pre-order nearly six weeks ago. Edited October 21, 201113 yr by Bré
October 21, 201113 yr I just don't understand who would want to listen to a One Direction album. I know the girls like to look at them, but if the new single is anything to go by the album could be shockingly bad.

Of course the album will be shockingly bad, it's ONE DIRECTION  I'm pleased people on this forum don't seem to have the same love affair with GBY as they did with WMYB, WMYB was terrible but fairly well-liked on here for some inexplicable reason. Personally, I was just expecting worse. WMYB was ok in my book, far from the best song this year but better than Cher's debut. It's the other way around now with Cher's second single being miles better than 1D's. But what do I know? I prefer Matt and Rebecca over both  Edited October 21, 201113 yr by T Boy

I do like both of Cher's singles though (With Ur Love more). And I also like Matt, although I don't like Rebecca.
