Danza Kuduro is probably teh original version, they played it on floorfilers and they also wrote "Lucenzo feat. Don Omar" but it was the original verison by Don Omar. There is an english version (featuring Pitbull) but it's by different artist, but also featuring Lucenzo

Erm the "original" spanish version with Don Omar is also with Lucenzo, its a collab. In Europe its mostly credited as Lucenzo ft Don Omar, and in Latin America and Spain as Don Omar ft Lucenzo.

However the true original is Lucenzo ft Big Ali - Vem Dançar Kuduro

In the USA it was released as 'Don Omar and Lucenzo' (no 'feat.' either way).

Whaaat? Danza Kuduro? If they're going to playlist a foreign language dance song (and kudos to them for doing so for the second time in 12 months), they could have at least picked a decent one :drama: Still waiting on a UK release of Om Sanningen Ska Fram to be honest...

There hasnt been another non-english dance song that has been a huge european hit this year, apart from Danza Kuduro.

Om Sanningen Ska Fram was just a local hit, R1 would never playlist it even if it gets a UK release

Well obviously, the USA is basically an extension of Latin America with it's huge latino population. Don Omar is a well known artist there. Either way, I dont care for Don Omar's version at all.

There is an English Danza Kuduro (with Pitbull):

The Don Omar/Lucenzo version is good, but is an abomination  It sounds a whole lot worse in English...

It crossed over to Norway and Denmark as well. I suppose asking for a Swedish language song to be a hit here is a bit much but I wouldn't have anything against them doing a translation. It seems that for a European dance hit to even get a sniff of getting a push in the UK it needs to have been a huge hit in at least 10 other countries first

Also, I despise the Big Ali version/original, he reminds me of Fatman Scoop shouting in a gruff voice all over the place and that's never a good thing...

Yes, the version Liam has posted is the version getting released in the UK. It was too good to be true that Radio 1 would playlist the European version of 'Danza Kuduro' instead. -_-
Yeah, I did have an inkling it might be an English version.
