I'm not sure if it had been confirmed before, but 'Yo-Yo' is the third single:

"Nicola Roberts has confirmed the name of her new solo single.

The Girls Aloud star will release 'Yo-Yo' as the third cut to be lifted from her new album Cinderella's Eyes.

The singer revealed the news during an interview with Steve Timmins on Liverpool's Juice FM.

Roberts said that 'Yo-Yo' was one of her favourite tracks from her debut album when reminiscing about a recent performance where she played an acoustic version of the track.

The 25-year-old recently said that she did not make her new album for "commercial reasons", but because she loves "making music".

Nicola Roberts's debut album Cinderella's Eyes is available to buy now."

Oh and thanks for the help with deciphering the writing - would never have got that!

Good single choice there. I thought Yo-Yo would be a good choice to release since I first heard it.
I love Yo-Yo so its a great single imo. Would have loved Gladiator or Sticks + Stones aswel..
I don't think it's a great single to be honest. It's good album track. But that said, I don't think anything else apart from two lead singles would take off. Maybe 'Take a Bite' but it's similar to 'Beat of My Drum'. I'd love to hear 'Everybody's Got To Learn Sometime' as a single.
My favourite track on Cinderella's Eyes :D So glad it's a single! I hope Sticks+Stones also gets released

Mmm I'm not too sure about it.

Surprisingly it's not one of my favourites off the album, and I really don't see it being big after "Lucky day" flop.

@NicolaRoberts

Just going into a video meeting. I've written my own script for #Yoyo #StoryTelling

Good to see the single is going ahead. :D

I don't like this all that much tbh, I wish she'd release Cinderella's Eyes or even Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometime (an acoustic version would be great on a Christmas advert )

Nicola Roberts has confirmed the release of her new single.

The singer will officially unveil her new cut 'Yo-Yo' on January 2 in a physical and digital format including extra tracks.

The new bundle will feature a live version of 'Yo-Yo' along with the demo of her album title track 'Cinderella's Eyes'.

Speaking about her new single, Roberts explained: "The song is about being in that position with a guy when you really don't know whether you're coming or going.

"Being in that position can make you really vulnerable. It's the dark, desperate and doubtful side of love."

'Yo-Yo' is the third cut to be lifted from Roberts's debut album Cinderella's Eyes. The track was co-written by the Girls Aloud star along with Dimitri Tikovoi.

Roberts recently confirmed that she has started work on her second album and is "trying to get better as a musician".

Loving that cover!

Fab cover !

It's a shame that the cover I find the least flattering is the one used for the album ... :(

The brief Polydor sent out for the video is based on her sitting with her friends and each of them going into a dream sequence involving relationships.
I'm agree with everyone who's said the cover looks gorgeous  And that video brief sounds hilarious, I look forward to seeing it

Still believe Sticks and Stones is the right choice for a 3rd single, just it's Someone Like You vibe would sell albums.

But this isn't that bad, it's just that if Lucky Day flopped that was more instant and catchy than this then this will too!

Hope i'm wrong! :(

I'd love a 2nd album but unless she does at least 100,000 albums in the UK that isn't gonna be with Universal records it might be on her own record label....!?

I do agree 'Sticks + Stones' would have been my choice, but she won't do well with anything so it hardly matters.

Would have preferred it if "Sticks + Stones"/"Say It Out Loud" was picked as the next single. "Yo-Yo" is too 'blah' for me. It's nice enough, but nothing amazing. Having said that, I'm still looking forward to the video (even though I have a strong feeling it's gonna be some cheap piece of trash).
