If you're expecting them to be top 50, they only sold 500copies. Therefore they would need to at least sell around 7,500 on iTunes.

What? I said it has no reason TO debut top 50. It'll be lucky to be top 75.

Why do you think they've only sold 500 copies? The signed version sold out but they might have sold a thousand regular ones for all we know. Of course, it also matters how many of those copies were bought by canadians.

It's published on thursdays

It's usually somewhere online on a Wednesday, though. ChartNews have posted most of the top 20, the lower end of the top 200 and a few other random positions and a few debut positions but there's no sign of The Sats anywhere.

Thanks to Arab from UKMIX:

They've failed to chart in the top 200 but appear on the New Artist Album Chart:

#5 (#36, +31) THE SATURDAYS - CHASING THE SATURDAYS 2,261 (751,+201%) Total = 3,012

Eeek, hope this is understandable. They might have appeared on the top 50 Heatseekers but I think due to them being new, maybe not.

I thought that was the point of Heatseekers, new acts... I might be wrong...

Oh right haha.

It's an EP anyways. Every new artist releases an EP and it's not expected to sell much (correct me if I'm wrong). Unless you've experienced some sort of success with like a single then I would think the label expects a decent amount of sales because of all the promotion that has gone into it. It's just to get some sort of material out there for people to purchase. Once the full on promo comes for the singles and eventually the album, that's when sales are very important.

Its sales were split over two different chart weeks. 2,261 copies this week, and 751 copies from the week before.

The #200 album sold 2,438 copies this week.

In every country that Chasing The Saturdays has been released in (Minus Canada & Usa) Ego has been replaced by Get Ready, Get Set.

What countries are those?

Anyone heard anything else about their US plans?

I really hope the rumours are true about them touring with Justin Bieber. With them finally starting to climb again on iTunes (although very slowly) and airplay seemingly picking up, now would be a great time for the girls minus Rochelle to head to the States for some promo.

^ I really hope Scooter Bruan can help these girls get on this tour. (Personally I'd like for him to manage them lol) but the problem is (and I'm really happy for Rochelle) but it seems like this pregnancy came at an inconvenient time for the group. I mean they promoted the show which is a good introduction but I want the 5 of them to come back here (US/Canada) & do a proper radio tour (that takes time) and get radio backing them up, which will eventually result in single sales. And if that goes well then they could have a hit & book radio gigs all summer.
That is the radio tour Little Mix has been doing and are still doing > http://littlemixdaily.com/tours/us-radio-tour (As you can see, it will last less than one month)

The Saturdays has visited less than five radio stations....in like 6 months.

Little Mix just put the girls to shame, really. Good for them. That is exactly what The Sats should have done. I don't get why they're so resistant or seemingly reluctant to do a radio tour over there? So annoying. They could so easily do a radio tour! They are beyond frustrating sometimes. Please don't tell me they were deluded enough to think the TV show would do everything for them and they could just put their feet up?

Still plodding around at #682 on the American Pop iTunes section. Meanwhile Little Mix have the #2 and #9 albums on iTunes and every single one of their album tracks is about 500 places higher than 'What About Us'. Not only that but 'DNA' is #50 on the main chart and The Wanted are at #90 on the main chart with that God awful 'Walks Like Rihanna' song and we have Calvin Harris, Emeli Sande, Labrinth, Jessie J, Ed Sheeran, Olly Murs and Adele all in the iTunes top 100. I'm really jealous of the other artists fanbases that they get to celebrate the UK artists being successful in America when The Saturdays were at #102 in January after one bloody TV performance and they decided to come back to the UK, wait a few months and then send the song to radio.

Out of all the various mistakes their label have made regarding the girls careers (from Chasing Lights through to right now) the way they've handled America has been the most frustrating. If they had prepared properly, 'What About Us' would have been an easy hit in America. I mean, if it's close to breaking the top 100 on iTunes after one (slightly crap) TV performance and no airplay at all, then who knows how high it could have went with more promotion and a radio tour. It's now been five months since then and the song is nowhere to be seen on any US airplay chart, Chasing The Saturdays flopped and there's been no mention whatsoever about the American dream that they spent practically all of 2012 talking about.

With Rochelle just given birth and Frankie pregnant I think it's safe to say that the US is over, because the girls have an album and singles to promote in the UK this year.
